I've been visiting this shop for over a year and I can confidently say that this is the best boba I've had when it comes to just classic flavors. It tastes like it comes straight from Taiwan, which is where boba originates. You can trust me with that because I've been to Taiwan myself and am also Taiwanese. It's very traditional and if you're considering going to a fancy, Americanized, or unique boba place, I'd recommend this instead. The workers here are young but get their job done efficiently. I've never had a problem with the service or the quality. The shop itself has tables to sit at if you're not taking the drinks to go and has music playing in the background, so it's not silent or awkward. The wait time for receiving your drinks after you order is very short compared to other boba places. It's only around 5 minutes for 3-4 drinks. We were in the area and decided to try a new spot. First of all, this is one of the few places where I thought the large drinks were actually huge! We only ordered their regular cups. We tried their milk tea with boba and roasted milk tea with grass jelly. We got both drinks in regular sugar levels. I found the regular milk tea a tad too sweet, and it had a little added flavor of something else, but I couldn't pinpoint it. The roasted milk tea was really good! Less sweet than the regular milk tea. The grass jellies were giant chunks, so I finished all the tea before I actually got any jelly. Otherwise, the drinks here were pretty good! The guy working at the counter was friendly and helpful with answering questions and helping with suggestions. This review is for boba milk tea only. It was not bad. The taste reminded me of Quickly, but less sad. The total of $5.80 price was inexpensive for such a large portion. I got the regular sized Jasmine Milk Tea ($4.98 + $0.82 for boba), which had very little tea flavor. At 70% sugar and regular ice, the drink still ended up being pretty sweet. I could maybe taste the tea as I got towards the bottom of my cup. The boba was soft, but not overcooked; still chewy, but I prefer boba less soft. The pearls were also smaller than the diameter of the boba straw, which is not my favorite size. My friend got the Champ Milk Tea (black tea with brown sugar). I tried a sip and it was alright. Cute boba decor alert! Outside of their store is a 4ft boba statue that you just can't pass by without taking your phone out! The owner was friendly and the cha spoke for itself. I ordered the Roasted Milk Tea with herbal jelly and you can definitely taste the roast in the tea. I love that. Hubby got the QQ which is their mix of boba and lychee jelly. The boba was chewy and nice! Inside they have a little market going on but it's all behind glass cases. They have an array of sauces and snacks. Wanted today to get my honey boba ice milk drink from my favorite half & half but they were closed today so went on yelp to find nearest boba place which is in 99 ranch in city of industry Colima and Azusa. It's a small place hard to find. Their menu have fruit and milk teas along with brown sugar milk teas like tiger sugar which I am not too fond of. So I selected their large lychees milk tea cold with boba with 70% sugar which was still really sweet. Overall it was a good tasting drink to me boba is chewy not like soft melt in your mouth not chewy which I hate. This is one of my all time favorite boba places to go, a real hidden gem. I have been going here since about 2020. I wish it was closer to my house.. but that might dangerous. I can't explain it but their teas just taste exceptionally good. My favorite is their roasted oolong milk tea. My husband loves their jasmine iced tea with lychee jelly and boba. Everything is always fresh and we always order it unsweetened since we are trying to cut calories. It is always light and delicious, never artificial or fake. My kids love the slushies. I visited this place after eating at Tokyo Lobby that was nearby and was so happy to see a place that had lemon yakult ($5). I also got jasmine milk tea ($4.50) and roasted milk tea ($4.50). Not sure why I haven't given this place a review yet. Every time I come to the plaza this is in, I have to grab a drink from here! When you walk in, it's such a spacious place. A few spots to sit while you wait for your drinks. They're pretty quick with the turn around with drinks though so you won't have to wait too long. Their teas are really good, you can taste the tea. The drinks are a pretty good value here, considering how enormous they are. The milk tea is pretty good, but unfortunately the fruit tea was way too floral for my liking. I personally prefer fruit teas with a neutral green tea base, so I honestly felt nauseous after just two sips. When I asked if they would be willing to remake my drink or at least modify it somehow by adding a different type of tea, they refused. For that alone, I would give this place one star, as they aren't concerned with customer satisfaction in the least. I have been wanting to check out Tea Champ since it's opened. Finally I made my way here today and I must say that I am extremely impressed. I like to dedicate my review exclusively on their authentic Taiwanese milk tea. To start, I must say the good authentic milk tea is hard to find. I have tried tons of different milk tea at many different drink spots yet found most unsatisfying. By far, Tea Champ has the best milk tea around the area if I must pick the "champion" among all. There are 3 different types of milk tea, which are roasted milk tea, jasmine green milk tea and original milk tea. I have tried all of them. Roasted milk tea is rated to be the number 1 seller. Roasted milk tea tastes similar to the original milk tea except with the special roasted flavored to it. With jasmine green milk tea, you can taste right away the jasmine flavor within the milk tea. Apparently they use very high quality tea leaf to brew the tea with no artificial flavor and sweetness added to the tea itself. I mostly order milk tea with half sugar else where but there is no need for me to adjust the sweetness of the tea here at Tea Champ. Let me make a few recommendations on the toppings along with the milk tea. It is highly recommended to add the grass jelly with the roasted milk tea. I love the combination and it is delicious. Tea Champ makes very high quality grass jelly unlike other places. You can taste it the difference immediately that it is not ready to go grass jelly from the can but authentic, rich and flavored grass jelly with very chewing texture. I would recommend mini agar boba with the original milk tea. This is the only place that I know which sells mini agar boba. Agar boba can be a great substitution for boab since it contains more fiber and less calories. For jasmine green milk tea, I would recommend QQ or boba to go with it. I am Taiwanese and I am a big fan of the Chun Shui Tang milk tea. This is the closest I can find here to the milk tea flavor I tasted in Chun Shui Tang. In conclusion, I like to add the world milk to Tea Champ as Milk Tea Champ in my opinion. read more

This place honestly surprised me. We found it on yelp one day and wanted to try out new boba places so we chose this, and it turned out to be one of my favorite places in the area! The shop is shared with another little store so you might be a little confused once you enter. But you'll know which are is specifically for boba. My favorites are the roasted milk tea and jasmine green milk tea - both at 70% and 30% sweetness. I don't prefer too much sweetness but for this place I'd recommend 70% sweetness. Sadly 30% sweetness tasted a bit more watered down for my liking, but at 70% sweet the tea flavor is stronger. I love this place because the tea they use is on the stronger side so you can actually taste the tea rather than just the sugar + creamer used. Their boba is good too - nice and chewy. The drink sizing is also kinda crazy. Their typical regular size is an equivalent to a large size at most places (24 oz), and they have a bigger size too! (32 oz) Staff is always very friendly and open to answering questions if you have any. One of my all-time favorite tea places!! They make their teas fresh daily and have some of the best drink selections in town. I'm in love with their Lychee Oolong tea which is made to perfection every time I go. They only serve Oolong Tea on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday which definitely makes me look forward to the weekend after a long week of work. Even my Taiwanese mom likes their teas--it's light and refreshing--and the people who work there are always a pleasure to interact with. I've also tried their Peach Oolong and Roasted Milk Teas, but I prefer the Lychee Oolong by far. Even though it can be a bit pricey (comes out to $6+) for a 32oz drink, I believe life is too short to waste on terrible teas. Their tea is a luxury to drink and I'm so happy to support local businesses like Tea Champ!! Hot tip: Call ahead to make sure that they have Oolong Tea in stock on the weekends. They sell out super fast and it usually takes 20-30 minutes to brew up a new batch of Oolong. I always pre-order mine ahead of time, so that I can just pick it up when I'm done running errands.
