This place is my family's favorite take out Chinese fix. There are standout dishes at other Lodi Chinese joints....King Tsin has that yummy cherry chicken....Yen Ching's honey walnut prawns...ect...but all around the food here is my favorite. Some of my favorite dishes here include: house chow mein, happy family, black bean sauce chicken, beef and broccoli, and won ton soup. While those dishes are the basic stuff you can get anywhere, they are consistently good at Ming Sing. The lunch and dinner combos are pretty affordable and you'll definitely get enough food. Although the folks that run it are friendly. I'd have to say it's not an exactly an "intimate dining experience"- although the pictures "rainbow chicken" on the wall might be considered art. I ordered through doordash and was looking for egg foo young and crab & cheese stuffed wonton (not ragoons) and egg rolls. Ming sings had all 3 items. I absolutely loved the stuffed wontons and even the egg rolls were good. But the egg foo young was horrible. I'm not sure they uses real eggs. It seems more like a batter or something on that line. Not egg. Even drenched in the gravy sauce couldn't soften it up enough. That was my main course and I couldn't eat it . So I eat the apps and will remember next time to try somewhere else. We've dined in here on occasion before the pandemic, but we now order take out/delivery from here almost every week. Portions are very generous & decently priced. We also love the fact that they offer Hong Kong style options for the chow mein (pan-fried) and chow fun (saucy instead of dry). I normally pick up from this restaurant all the time while doing door Dash but as of late the customer service has gone downhill drastically the one female employee they have who is always in the front has become extremely rude and disrespectful even throwing orders on the table and being very aggressive. Just for the bad customer service I would never even give this restaurant a chance because if that's the way that you treat people who are picking up orders for your customers then chances are you're going to treat The customers who come into your restaurant much worse. The food here is either really good or really bad. It is very inconsistent. The chow mein can be great if it's fresh but they will sometimes serve older dishes that seem a little stale. You never know what you'll get. Cashew chicken is usually pretty good. Customer service 1/10. The lady, as everyone else has pointed out is rude and acts like you're bothering her. This place is classic Chinese mom and pop. Fun artwork and low key set up. They had a table for our party of 7 and not many patrons inside, lots of people did pick up orders while we were there though. The woman who waited on us seemed incredibly frustrated we were there but she mostly left us alone so it evened out. The food was very good!! We tried the chow mein, fried rice, crab rangoons, orange chicken, foiled chicken, the happy family plate and the curry chicken. Fried rice was a little plain but the chow mein was SOOO GOOD it made up for the rice. I don't like seafood but my friend and husband thought the crab rangoons and happy family plate were amazing, the happy family was their favorite. The orange chicken was a little disappointing but the curry chicken was really delicious, it said the curry chicken was spicy but I'm a wimp and I didn't think it was spicy at all. Food is not good. Also the lady that works the front had the nerve to slide me fake money when giving me my change. She tried to hide the $10 bill in the middle of the rest of my change but I noticed when she counted the money before giving it to me the color was off on the $10 bill. The waitress was very nice & attentive. The food though wasn't as good. The fried rice wasn't very good. The soup of the day tasted slimy. I got the sweet & sour prawns. This is my go-to spot for Chinese food in Lodi! However, I can't really compare it to other local spots as I'm pretty sure it's the only one in town I've tried. About two days after we moved in, we got takeout based on the favorable reviews and I like it well enough to not want to venture out! It might be because Cashew Chicken is my favorite and for my personal tastes, theirs is the best I've ever had. I LOVE it.
