The wonton soup was also flavorless, with huge cuts of vegetables, and dumplings were flimsy with barely any meat. I see the potential this restaurant has and hope it can improve with time. The place was packed when I went, so I'm sure it's doing right by some patrons.

They said yes, but what we got was a huge box of stir fry veggies with about 6 pieces of cha siu. The veggies ended up having the most flavor out of everything we ordered, I'm just not sure how to order them again. Over all this is a decent and very affordable Chinese takeout spot.

I don't want to bash any small businesses but there were so many things that went wrong. The salmon on the lion king roll was noticeably stinky fishy. I eat sake sashimi at least 3 or 4 times a month, it's my favorite fish and it shouldn't be "fishy" at all unless it's on its way to going bad. This was the biggest reason for deciding to leave this review instead of letting it go. Someone could get sick. The best roll was the warrior's roll, and I'm not very big on the texture of unagi but it was really good. My step little loved her chicken teriyaki which I also tried and agreed. The chicken thighs were moist and delicious but could have done without being completely drowned in thickk teriyaki. The miso soup was fine but had wonton strips in it which I'd never seen before. And lastly, the stuffed mushrooms were delicious, but they are the size of a quarter and cost $11.95 for 4 teeny tiny mushrooms. Our server was trying really hard but it was obvious he hadn't had much training. He seemed overwhelmed and was definitely struggling and that feeling just got worse and worse through the meal. Everything we ordered came out randomly and with no organization. We ordered a large Kirin after verifying with him that they had bottled Kirin. They did not have it bottled and he brought us a draft and when we asked about the bottle he was apologetic but said "he already poured it..." So we felt like we had to take the draft. It spilled all over the table while I tried to pour it into two glasses because we were sharing. The check took a solid 20+ minutes after we ate and at that point I started getting irritated. Our server walked past us at least 10 times and I'm pretty sure he forgot but we couldn't get his attention. When he brought it over, he cleared our plates to box up all of the sushi we'd barely touched and he accidentally spilled soda on one of our rolls. Honestly, I wasn't even mad at the kid, it's not his fault he wasn't trained. The restaurant needs to work on whatever is making the salmon fishy and bring in someone to train their front of house staff. We unfortunately will not be returning, probably ever.

Ming Sing is one of those hidden gems that you will probably pass a hundred times and never notice, but if you do take the time to stop by it's well worth. I came here on a late Sunday afternoon as everything else in Lodi seems to be closed on Sunday. The environment has a homely feel as you can come to the restaurant knowing you will receive quality Chinese food at a very reasonable price. The restaurant is family owned and you can tell the family takes pride in their business. Portions are great considering the price and the food is much better than what you'd expect for a $5 plate. Had a great first experience and looking forward to coming back. read more

Went there for lunch on November 15 2021 we ordered the lunch special, my rice and noodles were soggy and wet looking which means that the rice and noodles were 2to 3 days old, my wife's sweet and sour pork smelled like the pork was spoiled, my wife ate about half the sweet and sour and when we got home she had diarrhea and upset stomach. I noticed the carpets and window covers were filthy and need of cleaning I could only imagine what the kitchen looked like. My advice to anyone who eats there is to check your food before you eat it, this was our first visit and it definitely will be our last.! read more

We are celebrating Father's Day with eight dishes to mark the special occasion. The walnut shrimp was an absolute delight--perfectly crispy with a luscious, creamy sauce. PROS: - Had the Pork Chow Mein, House Chicken & Mongolian Beef. All were delicious. Was surprised at how spicy the Mongolian Beef was, but this was the best of the three dishes. The Pork Chow Mein was well garnished and visually appealing. The House Chicken had the most volume, but I believe that the chicken had been fried some time prior to my visit, and was warmed up / had finishing touches applied, upon receipt of my order. - While waiting for my order I noticed the tasteful interior decor, which gives off a nice dining atmosphere. Especially if one were only ordering a lunch special, it would be a great environment to enjoy your $10.95 & CA State Tax meal. - Further to the above, the prices are a BARGAIN in this era of high inflation. Even the non-lunch special items only go for $12 - $13 bucks. CONS: - The Fried Rice which came with the meal was below my expectations, as it only is white rice with soy sauce and fried eggs sprinkled on top. (See attached pictures.) NOTE TO MANAGEMENT: C'mon folks, I know that you're trying to keep overhead low, but this is not fried rice in any shape or form. Better to just serve white rice and not serve fake fried rice. CONCLUSION: If they had proved better Fried Rice in my order, I'd give this place 5 Stars. But for the price I paid for my meal, I was very satisfied. Thus. if you're in on Hammer Lane and want a good Chinese meal for your hard earned money, this place is an excellent go-to option.
