    Broccoli Beef
    Claudine Jean R.

This is my first time trying this place out and I'd honestly say it's not that bad! Service is pretty good, they're pretty nice people I would say (: For the food, I'm all for it but also not at the same time. We (my mom and I) ordered their beef chowmein, pork fried rice, and broccoli beef. I've been looking for a place that has some good chowmein and I'd say their chowmein is actually really good! A tad on the oily side, but overall I really like it -- The flavor is definitely there. For their broccoli beef I'd say it's pretty good; it has flavor. Now for their pork fried rice... unfortunately I didn't really like it as it was pretty dry.. it has flavor kinda, but it's dry.. id probably try their other fried rice if I order from them again, but overall 2 out of 3 of the foods we ordered was yummy!

My family has been coming here for around 50 years before I was born childhood memories, local neighborhood, Chinese spot as a child I would come in and they would always give me a fortune cookie when looking through the window as the food was being prepared generation after generation family owned business so if you are ever passing through Stockton, go get some delicious Chinese food and the price is still reasonable delicious chow mein, garlic, chicken, chicken and foil fried rice even though I had just ate I still picked up a little because I have to have a taste. Thank you guys for years of great customer service. I now live down south but when I come home to visit, I will always stop by.

Barbecue Spareribs Combination Plate with Chicken Fried Rice and Pork Chow Mein

I've been coming to The Chopstick for many years. This takeout restaurant offers tasty food and generous portions for a great price. I usually get the combination plates. I recommend getting the Barbecue Spareribs or the Lemon Chicken. I'm pretty sure the other options of the combination plates would be great as well. The Chopstick has never disappointed me and I will continue to come back.

Combo plate: Chow mein, Fried rice & Mongolian Beef

10/14/2020 - I wish I didn't have to leave one star, it's hard for me to type this review! I am so hungry, but I am waiting for someone to take me back out to get some good food. I ordered their combo plate: Pork Fried rice, I guess pork chow mein and you pick one -- I picked Mongolian beef. OMG !!!! The absolute worst Chinese Food I ever HAD!!! I am from San Francisco wear food is king !!!!! I would describe it as a monster mash. The Mongolian beef doesn't taste like Mongolian Beef it's just dry and sitting smack on top of the rice & chow mein like a tarantula. The rice is dry and the chow mein is ridiculous!!! Nothing, I mean nothing has any flavor. Now I have passed this place over a million times because I moved back to the Bay and then back here, yeah I know crazy, huh? But the mortgage and rent is super high up there. But I knew there was a reason my car never turned into this place!!! Sorry, I can't eat it!!!ol

Hi all ! What year did Chopsticks open ? I am 64 years old and remember eating their yummy food when I was barely able to walk it seems ! Thanks in advance - cheers !

Turn the clock forward a decade and guess what, the food is still outstanding and the service is still attentive and kind. It was a 2 1/2 hour drive for us so we were good and hungry when we got into town. The owner greeted us warmly and a friendly server (her son), came by to help us. We decided to order: Hot & sour soup - heaven in a big bowl. Savory broth filled with delicious ingredients. It was well flavored, not too spicy or tangy Mu shu chicken - 4 pancakes with hoisin sauce. Our server wrapped our first ones for us. The dish contained the typical scrambled egg, sliced cabbage, protein, etc and it was fresh and tasty Beef with asparagus -noted in the entry that asparagus was in season so we had to order it. Meat was tender and the asparagus was cooked beautifully House chow mein - Fried perfectly and not doused in a bunch of sauce or oil. The protein on this dish was plentiful and it was simple and delicious. I loved how they didn't add chives/green onion to these dishes. The hot & sour soup had a few little green onions for color but this is the first time I've been to a Chinese restaurant that doesn't overfill the dishes with onions (as I don't like onions). Maybe that's the reason I enjoyed everything so much. Portions are very generous! We had lots of yummy leftovers. Our server told us that two of his brothers were the chefs. My kudos to them; they certainly know how to cook!

There…read morearen't a lot of great Chinese buffet options in the area, so I came in with reasonable expectations, and this place exceeded them. Before I get into the review, I think it's only fair to mention that I rate buffets differently than traditional restaurants. My expectations are based on other buffets, where freshness, consistency, food rotation, and value matter just as much as presentation. This feels more like a small, family-owned neighborhood buffet than a large commercial chain, and I actually think that's part of its charm. The buffet isn't huge, but I'd rather have a smaller selection that's done well than a massive buffet where half the food has been sitting under heat lamps for hours. I sampled most of the buffet, and overall I was impressed. My favorite dishes were the beef chow fun noodles, chow mein, honey pork, fried rice, teriyaki chicken, and the spicy chicken wings. The wings were especially good, they were nice and meaty with a great flavor and weren't loaded with fat like buffet wings sometimes are. Other solid choices were the sweet and sour pork, broccoli beef, and fried green beans. The only items that didn't really stand out to me were the vegetable egg rolls and crab rangoons. They weren't bad by any means, just average compared to the rest of the buffet. One thing that really stood out was how well the buffet was maintained. A staff member was constantly cleaning, rotating trays, and refilling food, so everything stayed warm and fresh throughout my visit. I never came across anything that was cold or looked like it had been sitting for a long time. The soda station was clean, drinks were self-serve, and the staff was friendly whenever I interacted with them. Most of the customers seemed to be ordering takeout rather than dining in, and after seeing the portions, I completely understand why. The takeout containers were packed so full they were almost difficult to close. For the price, the value here is outstanding. The only reason I'm not giving this place five stars comes down to presentation. The dining room itself is clean, but it's very simple. From the drink station you can see directly into part of the kitchen, and the plumbing underneath the soda and ice machine is exposed, which makes the restaurant feel less polished. I didn't see anything that made me question the cleanliness or food safety; it was more of an aesthetic issue than a sanitation concern, but it does affect the overall atmosphere. That said, when I judge this place as a buffet rather than comparing it to a full-service restaurant, the food quality, freshness, service, and value easily outweigh those cosmetic issues. Would I come back? Absolutely. If you're looking for an affordable Chinese buffet with consistently fresh food, friendly staff, generous portions, and flavors that honestly surprised me, M Kitchen Buffet is definitely worth checking out.

Simple tables and chairs, 2 bathrooms (with disposable seat covers available), and disposable plates, forks, cups, etc. Floor was just a little sticky. You just walk right in, grab a plate, and start loading up. Once you sit down, someone will bring drinks. While there, many people came in for the to-go options. When we went to pay our bill, they also offered a $4.95 kids price. What? Not sure how they survive! Would definitely come back if I were a local.

I found this place online, called, placed my order. Upon driving up... I was not happy, it was the corner spot of the lot, there's no seating inside, you walk in and you can't see the food be made, they have this table blocking the way to get inside the rest of the building which is just empty... The place honestly looks shut down. I hate that I couldn't see anywhere in the back where the food was being cooked, the lady kept yelling at the man in the back. She wasn't too welcoming when I walked in either. Then, I pay, tip $8. She tells me it'll be a 10 min wait, I walk around the lot.. get back, and I ask for 1 hot oil and she's going to say "we charge for that, that'll be $1.50!" So I said that's fine, she charged me and I went on my way. Sadly, I won't be returning. Not only because ambience and staff, but food wasn't too hot either, super under seasoned and that's saying a lot because I'm on a kidney friendly diet for the MOST part lol.
