Wonton soup they scared to add enough green onions
    Jeanette A.

Just moved to the neighborhood and ate here first yep passed up Polish good and Yemeni Food because I'm a sucker for Chinese food! I was too hungry to get a picture of everything but I ordered Singapore Noodles with Shrimps and it did not disappoint! The portion is large and they didn't skimp on the shrimps either. I ordered Wonton Soup and most times wherever I go and order wonton soup to go it's usually horrible but theirs had fresh wontons and green onions which I didn't have to ask for and pay extra and bean sprouts the broth was good not salty just natural. I also ordered a egg roll which was still hot after me walking home with it. Over all my food was delicious I remember when this place opened over 19 years ago i probably was one of their first customers and look at me now living real close to them lol!

Shrimp Egg Foo Young lunch outstanding delicious Love

Terrible, overpriced, small portions. Oof. Atmosphere was rushed. Cashier was flighty. Worst experience to date.

Don't expect the world's best anything - you are picking up freshly-cooked food defensively - anything you get here will be better than the gas station taquitos or the Arby's roast beef sandwich binge you will regret in 30 minutes. But to be clear, it's not going to be particularly great. Something about the time of day that I pass by through this area gets me so excited to toss in a pickup order just to see what I get. The Singapore-style Mei Fun is reliable. Get it plain without the Singapore curry spice if you're more suspicious. lol. Anything like String Beans with Garlic, or Beef with Broccoli, is going to be perfectly acceptable for a road warrior like you. The location, consistency, and ease of triangulation with regards to ordering over the phone (or having your shotgun passenger order) about 10 minutes before you reach this Hwy exit merits a solid 4-star review. The food is 3-star ish, but the mere existence of this place warrants a bonus "Oasis" star.

The employees are so sweet and accommodating to you. They have only one waitress for the whole restaurant and she is fantastic at her job. She is organized and very pleasant and takes good care of the customers. They have a long table against the wall, containers for take home portions, carry out dinners waiting to be picked up, etc. They have a cult following and all the faithful customers that dine there overlook that area. Once you get the drift of things, people come back again and again for their great food. Hub and I are regular customers and will continue to be. That was totally uncalled for. When I arrived to pick up the food, the same employee repeated that comment in person. It was just two bags of food for four people--nothing outrageous. To top it off, she insisted that I should tip for takeout, which just didn't make sense to me since I was only picking up my own order and didn't receive any extra service. Overall, the food might have been okay, but the attitude and treatment we got was really disappointing. I hope they can improve their customer service because this kind of experience really leaves a bad taste.

In Michigan we do have some dumpling places but this place in Windsor just takes the cake when it comes to excellent Ramen & Soup Dumplings. When I got here the wait wasn't long at all, we were seated within 3 minutes. The menu has ALOT of options to choose from and if you like spice like I do you have to try the Steamed Spicy Beef Soup Dumplings, they are VERY delicious and they do have a little kick to them and the orange color gives it a cool look to them. I also ordered the Shanghai Bistro Beef Noodle Soup which was also a little spicy but that Ramen was sooooo good, the beef was cooked perfectly and the Boo Choy was a little crunchy which was very good. The vibe here is very cool, people from all over come here, the staff is very kind and courteous and it's not loud either. This place is a must try if you LOVE soup dumplings and Ramen.

This place is absolutely my vibe. The staff are fantastic, friendly, and very skilled at their jobs. Beverages were refilled, we were checked in with, and felt taken care of. The real star of the show was the food. I came with two of my sons, and we all really enjoyed our ramen bowls. I had the pork belly tonkatsu, one of my sons had the catfish tonkatsu, and the other had the red curry. I absolutely recommend this restaurant, and will be returning very soon!

Hubby and I laughed at how many times we zipped past the restaurant without noticing it. My husband and I both ordered the Major Tom Khatsu, which has a coconut chicken broth base. The chicken katsu pieces were the perfect level of crispy without being heavily breaded. There was also a nice little kick to the dish, which made it so, so yummy. Our friends got the Shoyu ramen with pork belly, and the Corned Beef ramen. The Shoyu dish seemed to be more enjoyable. Though we stuck with water, cans of Faygo pop seemed to be the drink offerings - other than alcoholic beverages. Areas for improvement include the waiting. Johnny Noodle King is a small place, with a main dining area and then what seems to be a bar area attached. We initially waited by the door for our table along with another small group (we were a party of four). We were then asked to go to the bar area to wait so that it would clear the door, but found it interesting how we were asked to move but not the other group. Also, we were standing away from the doormat we were not obstructing anyone's movements. The wait was long, and we asked if we could order food to the bar area (as opposed to waiting for a table). We were told 'no', yet there was a table full of patrons who were eating. There was no notification system, so our friend had to keep going to the front to see if our table was ready. Don't get me wrong; 'hooray' to Johnny Noodle King for having such great business volume. However, they need a way to manage it so that people will not be put off. Once we were seated, we did have good service from our waitstaff, and the food was very good. My husband and I plan to return to explore more of the menu. Hopefully, we can pick a time of day when waiting won't be such a big issue.
