I wish I could give them 20 stars. They were beyond friendly and helpful. They took our time and answered every question with patients. We sat outside and they brought the food to us. It was one of the best Chinese meals I have ever had. They have tofu which we were super excited about. Make sure you get the firm. It is phenomenal. Ordered another meal for a birthday party and as always the food was fantastic! We ordered a 1/2 tray of Kung Pao Shrimp and Chicken & General Tso's chicken. They graciously added in crab Rangoon and her homemade egg roll sweet and sour sauce. This time we opted for white rice and they provided a full tray of it. Everyone loved the food. She provides plenty of soy sauce and fortune cookies. Food was steaming hot and the trays were full to the top! Oh my goodness!! Amazing. The best ever service I have ever had for a take out order. Ordered several meals for family dinner and the service was friendly and fast. Made me feel very welcome. The food was delicious and enjoyed by all. Even with driving the food home after 25 minutes the food was packaged well in a box so it was still warm. Prices and selection were appropriate. Would love to see the place opened up to be a dine in restaurant. As of now it is only take out. I didnt notice if they have delivery or not. Will definitely be back. read more

I grew up in Southfield, Michigan which outside of Chicago, San Francisco, and New York, has some of the best Chinese food in the country. Thus, I have high standards for Chinese food. We tried Great Wok for the first time today, and were very impressed with the food. The triple delight with ginger and garlic sauce was delicious. The vegetables were fresh; the meat was cooked perfectly; and it was not too salty. The shrimp curry fried Rice was a dish I have not seen anywhere else before and was also very enjoyable. The crab rangoons were quite good. Portion sizes are large Cindy, the owner, is a very nice person who treats customers like family. (We spoke for about 20 minutes last week to learn more about the restaurant). Finally, we are very glad that they're able to prepare most dishes without MSG. All dishes with brown sauce can be easily made with no MSG, and the crab rangoons have no MSG. We look forward to returning soon. They are exclusively carry out. read more

I have had good and bad at this establishment. But lately it's been all bad. The last time I ordered the fried rice was so bad I had to throw it away. It was like somebody dumped used fry grease into it. I thought that I would give it another chance yesterday. I realize that the price of beef is up. What I didn't expect was the quality of beef would be down so far that it would be literally inedible. It was so tough I couldn't chew it. But the flavor was so bad I didn't want to chew it. I'm not sure if this was beef, if it was I've never had beef this bad. Threw it all away. I got the house pan fried noodles. The sauce was not the usual sauce. It was some sweet syrupy substance that was just terrible. $24 wasted. I will not waste my money there again. read more

This is a small Chinese restaurant and we had a short wait to be seated. However, it was well worth the wait. The portions are large, the chicken pieces were humongous, and the shrimp was huge. The combo came with a choice of egg roll or crab rangoon. The entrees even come with a soup. Our waitress was awesome as well. Oh yea, the food was fantastic. I highly recommend this place. First I'm not big on Chinese. You can have all my rice. But after reading all the 5 star reviews on Yelp I gave it a try. My wife loves Chinese food. I got the Kung Po Chicken with some kick. Range 3 of 4 on their scale. It was absolutely fantastic. The right amount of heat and it was loaded with Chicken and Onion, Mushrooms and some Peppers. I got the quart and made 3 different meals from it. It's a lot of food for the price. My wife felt the same about her Chicken and Vegetable's. There restaurant is a 30 minute drive from my home. I had to make a drive to Dundee on other business and picked some Great Wok to take home. I'd do it again in a minute next time I'm driving past Dundee. Just stop in and try it. Checked on us often, refilled drinks without prompting. 1/1 Star - Price2Quality Ratio - We fed four adults and one child for $53, that's under $11 per person! 1/1 Star - Atmosphere - Very quaint and clean, but small. If you go during a busier time you may not get a table. 1.5/2 Stars - Food - Great quality, huge portion sizes, extra rice with leftovers, etc. There may be just one other Chinese restaurant in the county that beats this out, but still very very good. Have you been eating from this restaurant for many years. Granddaughter was here from out of town Friday as for Chinese. I called ordered pork and vegetables extra spicy. The lady said will how about having our hunan pork it is excellent and comes with vegetables. Since we have had it before I said OK. She said everything would be ready in 1015 minutes. That's fine it takes us that long to drive there. We get the food home the "" Hunan pork the vegetables were so over cooked I think this was a meal that was left over from last week. I saw this place was open months ago and kept saying I needed to get over to give it a try. I've been on a Thai kick as of late so Chinese kept getting bumped, but it was perfectly convenient as a choice the other night, so it made the rotation. The first time I eat at any Chinese restaurant, I get the Kung Pao Chicken at the highest spice level possible and use that to gauge the quality and return probability. I like that the carrot slices were real big, the chicken unbreaded and plentiful, a good amount of whole chili peppers, lots of water chestnut, tender pea pods, and a large pile of peanuts. The flavor of the sauce was spot on, and while the heat level was somewhat mild to me, I know my wife would have said she couldn't handle it. The rice was very light and fluffy, a surprising and very welcome addition. The egg roll was standard, but stood out because they gave me a container of the house made hot mustard instead of the sweetened and not at all hot stuff in the packet. I dipped the roll in it and devoured the rest with the rice. The amount of food they provided made a meal and two snacks. I will be returning for sure. read more

Tiny little gem is in a strip mall by the highway, but you will not find better Chinese food anywhere. Large portions, inexpensive meals and good service. I eat there for lunch almost once a week when I drive through town. I take my mother there for special occasions because its her favorite. We stopped here on our way back home to Columbus. They have delicious food! We got kung pao chicken, chicken lo mein, steamed dumplings, and egg rolls. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. The service was also great and they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable (sat outside due to covid but they brought out waters and plates and everything we needed). It is a small place and tucked back off cabella drive, but it is worth finding. The staff is fabulous - the know the menu and can describe and lust ingredients as well as help if needed. If you don't find what you want, ask - they are pretty good at accommodating. At lunch they have combination plates that include choice of soup - including hot and sour, fried or steamed rice, egg roll or crab Rangoon and a main choice. Soup is always hot and meals are plentiful - almost always a second serving to take home. If you choose an entree instead of combo, it can be shared because the portions are plentiful. Great Wok has wonderful tasting and fresh food. We found it to have most of the usual choices for a Chinese restaurant, but what I really like was the more authentic choices like Shrimp Mei Fun, super fresh with crisp vegetables, super crispy egg roll and nicely overstuffed steamed dumplings. My son had the Singapore Fried Rice Noodle (med. heat) it had great flavor and a nice kick of heat. I think next time I will be trying one of the Udon Noodle bowls. A plus for people like my wife is the great selection of vegetable only dishes. Prices are right in line for dinners and their lunch specials prices look really good. They are open 7 days a week.
