Not sure if they used a fusilli, gemelli, or cavatappi, but it tasted like microwaved overcooked pasta. I was expecting a spaghetti, linguini, or bucatini for the frutti di mare and penne, ziti or rigatoni for the a la vodka, so just the choice of pasta was a surpenned, the fact that we got the same for 2 very different dishes indicated that that was the only pasta they had in the kitchen. All said, it would've been totally fine if both dishes didn't taste like mush. And both sauces tasted nearly identical. Sad, because service was great and the other dishes were absolutely phenomenal. They ran out of the ramen that day so I suspect that's a popular dish as well. I would just stick with the fusion style dishes. If my rating was based on the two fusion plates I had, would definitely be 4 stars!

Asian Fusion Meets Pub Food: A Delightful Dilemma…read more The biggest challenge at this restaurant is deciding what to choose! With an array of intriguing options alongside classic pub fare, the menu is an adventure! It's small but comfortable and well decorated. The service was quick and friendly. I started with a lychee martini, perfectly paired with Korean Short Rib Tacos. The balance of flavors was impeccable--neither too sweet nor too stiff, with a texture that was just right. The tacos delivered a burst of flavor that did not disappoint. We also tried the Bahn Mi, which had great flavor, though it might not make our reorder list. A favorite from the pub menu was fried pickles. A must-have at every restaurant I visit, served as coins--the only proper way, in my opinion. The breading was thick, crispy, and well-seasoned, reminiscent of a chicken nugget. In the most delicious way. I can't wait to return and explore more of the menu. This place is definitely on our list of regular haunts.

I would definitely recommend this place, we had the love boat which was a great portion for us two. My friend had other items off the menu like the hibachi which was also good and a generous portion. The service was great, the employee would check on us regularly. The place is nice, very spacious and you have the option of having sushi or hibachi. I would definitely come back and I recommend it.

We went in tonight hoping for a nice dinner and somehow managed to experience just about every…read moreexample of poor service along the way. Our food came out cold. The waitress never once asked how our food was, never asked if we wanted another beverage, never asked if we wanted dessert, and when we asked for additional sauce, she acted as though we were inconveniencing her. As soon as it appeared we were finished, our plates were taken away and the check was essentially tossed onto the table. We didn't make a single complaint during the meal. Normally, I'll simply eat the bad meal, pay the bill, and make the decision to never return. No scene, no argument, no bad review. But then came the part that really surprised us. We paid our bill by card, but planned on leaving the server a cash tip, which is something I personally prefer to do because I like knowing the server receives their tip directly. Apparently, because there was no tip written on the credit card receipt, the waitress came back to our table and loudly said, "You didn't tip." In a restaurant full of people, being publicly called out about a tip was incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassing. And the irony is that we had not complained once about the cold food, the service, or anything else. Needless to say, there won't be a next time. On top of the experience, the restaurant itself felt dirty and run down, and there was a noticeable odor. The two fish tanks--without fish and apparently without much attention either--certainly didn't help. They looked and smelled like they had been forgotten about a long time ago. Maybe the food and service are better on another night, but based on our experience tonight, we won't be finding out. Sometimes the best way to lose a customer isn't one big mistake. It's a whole series of little ones--and then making sure they feel uncomfortable before they leave.
