Whoa this place. It is as if you're going into a night club in the daytime. You're face to face with the poor paint jobs, tacky decor, confusing layout. There is nothing about this place that welcomes or invites relaxation. If I hadn't been getting pedicures with a group, I would have ran the other way. Speaking of that, we were a group of 3 getting pedicures together and we were not even sat together. There were plenty of open chairs. Upon arriving, I attempted to find a nail polish but had a hard time selecting from the poorly organized wall of colors. So many of the colors look old and dried. I was rushed in picking a color. I've been going here for a few years now, mainly for pedicures. They always do a good job, if I ask for more of something or a correction on my polish they take care of it for me. Everyone is very friendly and the prices are decent. I did try the most expensive pedicure service they offer once and felt it wasn't much different than their basic. It was more "relaxing" as it has the warm towel wraps and a better massage so that was nice. I wasn't sure about this place, as the reviews aren't great. But I took a chance over the xmas season, and I'm so so happy I did. A crisp edge and good shape to my nails is so important to me, and she rly delivered! Not only that, but prices are great and my gosh was she quick! I believe her name is May. When I came in for my appointment at 10 am, the time they open, they were very busy and took awhile for me to be seated. The manager, Eng, did my nails and I love them. Disappointed with my pedicure I received today. I am actually very surprised the lady that did work on my nails was fine with me walking out with my nails like this. Experience was good and she was super friendly but the polish job was not good. I definitely will stick with Mey the next time I come in because it seems that she's the one of the only ones there that is consistent with her work! I've never had someone go over the colored polish with clear polish only to go back over it with colored polish. I went here after a recomendation from a friend and I was super dissapointed and ended up in a lot of pain. I got an acrylic fill and a pedicure. While they were doing the fill, they cut 3 of my nails and I instantly felt a sharp pain. That night, I went home and took a shower and the hot water actually burned my skin. 2 days later, 2 nails just popped off and there were these weird cracked lines all over. They graciously offerered to fix it. They replaced the nails and repolished everything, but when they were using the drill, I still felt this sharp pain. Cut to a week later, 4 nails popped off, including one of the nails that hurt. Upon inspection, I noticed that the pain was from a very deep cut in my nail right above the nail bed. It was covered in dried blood. I went and removed the rest of the nails and all three that hurt had a deep crack in them that was not there before. My best guess is that when they were doing the fill the first time, they cracked my nails. I will never go here again. Not only are my nails cracked, cut and painful, the existing acrylics that were there and well maintained are ruined. read more

Their work is very good, but expensive, and there's no parking in Manayunk (and they ticket you immediately), so factor that in. The WORST is that I had an appointment and then an emergency, jumped through hoops to contact them, and they did cancel it for me, BUT they rescheduled it WITHOUT asking me for THE SAME day at a different time! Never asked me if I could me if I could make it at that time. Ridiculous! I called, texted, emailed them, but NOTHING - no response. AND THEN THEY CHARGED ME FOR A "NO SHOW" that is the full price of the service!! HORRIBLE. WHAT A DISGUSTING rip off. $$$, they apparently could not care that I have been a customer forever. Well, that is over! Plus, they still have they have those plastic shields up that the CDC said are UNHEALTHY as they prevent air circulation. I've only been a couple times but I love this place, their prices, the nail services and the people! They have always been friendly and super accommodating, even with my last minute drop ins. And their prices are the best I've seen, especially considering the quality of the work. Speedy, too, but still got the full spa relaxation treatment with the pedicure, never feeling rushed. Of course, I've only indulged in the nail services so far, and it seems that this is the majority of their services. I think you do have to schedule an appointment for hair or skin services. They are seven days a week, and they do take credit cards, but TIPS must be in cash. You can save a buck here or there by checking their site for "coupons"; just check the fine print for stipulations like "cash only", etc. I really liked Rashada. She did my mani-pedi and is so easy to chat with and fun, very friendly, and highly receptive to me showing her nail designs I brought in with me. And I LOVED what she did and the whole experience. This is usually my typical go to nail salon because the prices are a little bit lower than others in the area. When getting my nail serviced done they have went went and I havent had many if any issues. The color selection is big, lots of options. They do beautiful work as you can see from some of the pictures on their social media outlets. I went recently to get a pedicure and I brought my little sister (8). The lady who did my nails was very sweet and welcoming, the lady who did my younger sisters was a little more quiet and stand offish..which is ok some prefer this but my sister didn't even receive a hello. I have to mention that if you plan on bringing a child here and using the child pedicure chair, it is broken. They had a box placed behind it to help with the sturdiness. It was quite wobbly and might break if it were leaned back too far; this left my younger sister feeling uncomfortable during her time and unable to sit in a relaxed way- I know she's a child so she may not have been too bothered but i still wanted her to have the full relaxed experience. I did call before asking about the child chair availability and they told me it was available although knowing it was broken. I think I'm going to pay the extra few dollars for somewhere slightly nicer next time I go. read more

After making an appointment and arriving 10 minutes early they took me in 20 minutes after my appointment time and then the girl who was doing my full set. Who I asked before she did my nails if she could do my inspiration picture said yes. Was using the e file and legit kept burning my skin with the drill and pushing too hard on my nails which were fragile to begin with. To the point where my finger was purple from her applying too much pressure. Then when I was done my nails were all uneven and fat. Even before that I told her I wanted them to be medium length like a #2 or # 3 and she said no that it wouldn't look good and that she needed length to do the design and I said no I want them shorter and she wouldn't make them shorter. Then I went to do my pedicure and I sat there in the water for 28 minutes until someone came and worked on my toes after the water was cold. My mom and her friend also saw that their toe nails are white. Now we are trying to treat our nail fungus that we got from here. Just a fare warning. TIA!! She's THE best!!! I always get no chip, and I always book last minute. I live in the city and randomly come out to the suburbs to visit my parents. Tia has been great about squeezing me in and doing what she can. She does an AMAZING job on my cuticles and I love how she shapes my nails. I'm not sure if it's a language barrier or if many nail technicians just feel they know better but I've had a hard time finding someone who listens to what I want -- Tia listens! She's very meticulous in her work. I do feel that $35 is a bit high considering right down the road they charge $25 and do just as good of a job -- but Tia is so VERY accommodating and SO kind that I don't mind paying the extra bit since my time is limited. Do not get acrylics here. Initially when I got them I was very happy with how they looked even though i had to wait forever. 4 days later the nail began to lift and fall off and it hurt so badly. I went in and he told me they couldn't remove it (when they clearly could have) and could not put a new one on so literally took glue and glued the acrylic that was more than halfway off my nail back on. The nail techs were wonderful, very friendly and did a great job. The reason I'm giving 1 star is because I made an appointment for my mom and I to get pedicures together as part of her Mother's Day gift. Upon arriving for our 7 pm appointments, we were asked if we minded sitting across the room from each other instead of next to each other. Of course I minded, as I took my mom here to spend time with her. They then informed us that we would have to wait. My nails were not started until 7:20 and my mom did end up getting to sit next to me, however, she had to wait an additional 10 minutes to be seated. I guess if you want to sit next to the person you came with, you should be probably specify that on the phone because apparently it is not common sense to the receptionist.
