Top to Bottom: North Ender, Boston Cream, ET Phone Home, Only Have Pies For You
    Bryon M.

Just to piggy back of everyone else, the donuts are good. I got 4, the North Ender, Boston Cream, ET Phone Home and Only Have Pies For You. I chose to start with the North Ender, and when I bit in to it, I was thinking all this was were the little powdered Hostess mini-donuts. But, it just had a very similar flavor. The others hit my sweet cravings, although nothing really stuck out. My biggest complaint is the price point. $3 for each mini. That seems a little high, imo. But, since they are made to order, then maybe I can understand. Neat concept, though.

They pack the flavor or a large donut but are less calories.. These are two 25 packs

The dough in these donuts is so fresh and so delicious! We tried the glazed lemon and jelly donuts,…read morethe cotton candy donuts and the key lime pie donuts. The breaded part of the donuts was so delicious and tasted like fried dough at the beach or a carnival. So good! The line was moving slowly, despite only two customers ahead of us, which kind of surprised us. There were three people behind the counter, so I'm not sure why it took so long, but we were patient and enjoyed the donuts very much! Not really any ambiance is present here because it is an order-based line and the space constraints keep them from offering any tables, but the aim here is efficiently getting people in and out. So this does the job. Great donuts! Highly recommend!

Pretty damn good donuts! Behind some construction and an uber ride away I found Kane's Donuts. A…read morelocal recommended them and it was worth the stop. They are fluffy and tasty. Not necessarily my favorite type, I prefer more cake type with some density but these were pretty good. I came late so the fritters were gone but he was able to pull together a bag of mixed smaller fritter pieces which I enjoyed. If this was an Apple fritter, they were missing the Apple? Still the sugar on the bottom and the wonderful cinnamon taste made me eat them all. The best donut left looked to be the jelly filled. Haven't enjoyed one of these in a while. Still as good as I remembered. The fancy donuts looked to be gluten free, they had a ton of them. Probably because nobody likes gluten free donuts... Kane's reminded me of a great local donut shop with a touch of class. If I was close by I'd grab them again but likely to seek out another shop in Boston to compare next time I'm back.

And I was thinking to myself.. "This could be Heaven or…read morethis could be Hell" Back door donuts is deep in Red Sox territory. I'm actually looking at the green monster while eating my doughnut. I'm reviewing the menu choices as I wait on line. I have one couple in front of me finishing up. I could go for a nice hot cup of coffee along with my doughnut. I walk up to the window and ask, Do you sell coffee? No, just doughnuts. Water? No, just doughnuts. When in Boston, how do you pass up a Boston Crème Doughnut? Well, when they're making Apple Fritters from scratch, everything else will have to wait until my next visit. I pay for my fritter and sit at one of the outdoor tables. The bar next door has a live band playing, it's a good night in Boston as I take a bite of my fritter. First, this is a warm treat. They must of made the fritter and kept it warm in the small oven. The exterior shell is almost crunchy as I get big chucks of fresh apples. This fritter is like a big hug, each bite is warm and comforting. Back Door Donuts, you did a great job the other day! My Apple Fritter was fresh and tasted great. I sure was thirsty tho...

What's worse is that they won't stop sending emails to you if you order from them online. they take your email from toast tab and market to you, so be careful of that when you order online from them. You need to ask toast tab to take you off a list, but it doesn't work. They will keep sending emails.

Popular bakery in the North End for Cannolis and pastries, this is cash only. We came in on a…read moreFriday afternoon and there wasn't really a wait. We saw everyone walking around with their boxes and had to try their $9 cannolis. Our group was 4 adults and a toddler and we def ordered too much. We got a lobster tail and 4 cannolis, we would have definitely finished 2 cannolis amongst us and probably could have done without the lobster tail, it was something nice to try but they don't have napkins or seating and on a hot summer day, we tried to eat it standing and it was messy. The creams were really good and it was good fresh but it was quite sweet for me. We got the lobster tail which was a cream filled pastry and that had a lot of powder on top. For cannolis we got pistachio, lemon ricotta, chocolate ricotta, and Florentine. The Florentine cost a little more because it was a hard coated sugar crust. I preferred the lighter less sweet cannoli's like the lemon ricotta and pistachio. They were all good, but it was a lot for us, definitely shareable. The North End can get busy and it's an area full of restaurants, street parking is difficult. Service was efficient. More of a grab and go spot.
