I immediately notified an employee about the situation so it could be handled. Finding a pest in the bread section--where food is openly displayed and packaged--is highly concerning and completely unacceptable. Proper sanitation and pest control must be an absolute priority for a grocery store. I came in specifically looking for Elmer's adhesive glue and an X-Acto knife. I found an aisle dedicated to different types of glue, but strangely, the Elmer's glue wasn't there. It was a bit frustrating that all of the glues weren't grouped together in one logical spot. On the bright side, once I finally tracked down the glue, I found the X-Acto knife immediately right after. I know the floor layout and corporate stocking decisions aren't the fault of the everyday employees working hard here--somehow it just makes sense to the higher-ups, so it is what it is! My parents lived in Garland so I'd visited the Walnut Hill & 75 location over the years and liked it, other than the fact that they're not allowed to sell hard liquor which is a BIG BUMMER but not the store's fault. I went to this location around 2pm on a weekday and it was BUSTLING! The selection was pretty good and just about everything on my list was in stock. The store is super clean and well stocked by happy, helpful and smiling employees as always. There were even plenty of shopping carts and baskets available which is never the case in downtown San Francisco. The lines were very manageable even though the store was packed with shoppers. My cashier informed me that this is the busiest location in the DFW area, but I'd argue that the Walnut Hill location is just as busy. I was thrilled that the lines don't snake around halfway down the aisles like those for a theme park roller coaster as they do in SF.

BEWARE: make sure you always check your food / snacks from bulk section I bought some of the watermelon chili candies today, ate a couple at home then looked at one of them out of pure randomness and noticed something moving...it was a maggot I never spit out something so fast in my life Was told on the phone there's no way maggots could be in these candies... Went to the store and literally had to show them the whole bucket had more maggots... "best they could do" was refund my $5... The grocery part has a great selection of essential items and prices were reasonable as well. The Quick Bites has a LOT of options - veg and non veg. The staff was professional, the seating area was clean and overall well maintained. Will definitely be back and will try the restaurant good next time (which is separate from the fast food)
