Miniluxe went from fantastic to a disaster very FAST. Despite a terrible manicure in different Dallas location (recently closes) I gave it another try for a pedicure. The tech was extremely rude and the pedicure looks like a 5 year old performed it. I immediately contacted the shop and sent pictures. They kindly replied they were sorry and as I was leaving Dallas for an extended period they would refund my money. That was the last kind thing they did. About 50 text messages later they said they would not refund me, I sent the txt stating they would along with emails. They have ghosted me. Way to lose customers ... I did not feel comfortable but rather bullied into conforming to her viewpoint (although I am the customer of over 6 yrs)! My sister in law had her baby, I had been sick back to back, had a flat tire of all things during re-do appt. That said, Kayleigh was unwilling to see my view. She said that what I requested was difficult for the techs to do. I find that hard to believe given I've had my nails done this like for years (GelX w/clear polish & design). The TRUTH is the nails lifted given application wasn't done properly lol. Rather than apologizing for this and issuing a refund Kayleigh argued with me in Highland Park ML studio as to why what I was requesting was too difficult to do. Really? Or do techs need more direction & possibly a better working environment (some techs overheard us speaking & spoke of their lack of trust and satisfaction with current management). I am in shock of this email and the way the situation as a whole was handled. They "deactivated" my account.....because I had to reschedule an appt and what I requested was "too difficult?" I believe this is more like bullying and possibly more targeted on me personally. I do not appreciate being treated this way. The best thing was the eyebrow wax. It was very difficult not to be able to talk to a live person to schedule the appointment. It was all done through texting which was not convenient and took up a lot of time. The pricing also is very confusing and they don't post the price list in the store. For $330, we had two pedicures with callus treatment (it was not the "ten minutes extra" as claimed), one manicure with dazzle dry and two brow waxes. That is a lot of money! 1st time getting a gel mani at mini luxe and had to see for myself why it's so popular. The process was a but different than a typical nail salon but I liked it better. My manicurist was gentle when buffing and didn't overdo it on the cuticles. Everything looked clean and hygienic, which was super important to me as well. Absolutely ridiculous!! I just went for a subpar overpriced mani experience and walked out because I could not get a proper pedi experience. I was 15-20 minutes late for a scheduled mani and pedi. The front desk receptionist told me I could do a "quick pedi" which I thought entailed the typical pedi experience minus the massage and extras. Well, it turns out a quick pedi at miniluxe is just cutting your nails and painting some nail polish on... for $36-39! Wtf? I could do that myself! I sat there arguing with the nail technician (who clearly was not trying to be accommodating) and the front desk girl for 5-7 minutes about why I could not get a full pedicure done in 30-35 minutes. For them, it was more important to waste time and ensure a "miniluxe" experience which is actually no better than any other overpriced nail spa. The quality of the work is no better and they do NOT do anything extra that makes the experience feel luxurious. More than anything, I am appalled by the customer service and lack of accommodation to get a pedicure done in 30 minutes, and how stringent they are with their time frames. If they were a 5 star experience, I would totally understand but they are NOT. Skip this place, there are so many better nail salons in Dallas charging the same prices if not less. Miniluxe is one of the businesses I hope goes out of business during this pandemic, esp with such terrible customer service and unreasonable policies. Even though I was clearly frustrated, they made NO attempt to better the situation. Instead, they just offered to charge me full price for a pedicure and only cut nails, no cuticles, no massage, no scrub or lotion. Are you kidding me? Anxious to find a nail salon that was open past 6pm on a Sunday, I drove my mother & myself over half an hour to get to MiniLuxe in Highland Park. This is an establishment neither of us had been to before but, we felt good about the reviews so, we figured we would give it a try. We were uncomfortable from the moment we stepped in. First, no one greeted us. The salon is small &, there weren't a lot of people in there so, it's not as if we could not be seen. Granted, the three employees that we saw were doing nails but, from my experience in other salons...that doesn't stop you from speaking to entering guests &, letting them know that someone will be with them momentarily. We stood for a couple minutes then, I noticed 2 of the patrons (Caucasian women) were completely staring at us. Were we not supposed to be there? Is it frowned upon for African Americans to patronize this establishment. Still, as we stood, no one greeted us. We left &, decided to go where we wouldn't feel so uncomfortable &, where people wanted us to use their services. Came here the other day for a polish change and I definitely enjoyed it! Pros: + Super clean - they autoclave everything (advertised as hospital grade) + Friendly staff - all the workers really want to make sure you have a great relaxing experience + No wait + Amazing Nail polish - I am floored by the quality of the mini luxe polish. It goes on so smoothly, the color is amazingly rich, and it's decently priced at about $15 per bottle. I loved it so much I had to get a bottle of La La Land right then and there. I want to start off this review by informing you that my first impression lead to a poor yelp review. In the first review I critiqued my experience with scheduling an appointment, not the services provided. After posting, almost immediately I had an employee from the corporate office reach out to me personally to resolve the issue. I can't tell you how impressed I was to see how involved they were in customer satisfaction. They extended an invite to revisit the salon to ensure I had a pleasurable experience and defend the excellent reputation of the salon. After much resistance (and getting over my stubbornness) I decided to give the salon another try. As we all know it just takes one "bad apple" to destroy a reputation. I started off with a manicure by Jay. She went over the procedure of sanitizing all the tools used, I promise after hearing this you can rest assured you are not going to get some nasty fungus or infection here. They even have a designated clean lab onsite. Not to mention they use this top of the line nail polish called Performance Collection that doesn't destroy your nails like gel or powder dip but also lasts! To top it off they offer a 5 day chip resistant guarantee, if it chips within that time frame they will fix it free of charge. I have one nail that splits and she introduced me to a nail wrap which prevents splitting and snagging. I've had this split in my nail for years and have been to countless salons but I'm just now hearing about this!! She was amazing to say the least. Next I got my eyebrows tented by Ebony She was so friendly and told me exactly how to maintain the tent and did an excellent job on the shape. I plan on going back to her to wax and shape from now on. I ended with a spa pedicure with Van. The pedicure seats are so luxurious! Big both like chairs and beautiful deep white tubs... you even have an outlet if you need to charge your phone or laptop. They don't use jet tubs here..again because of sanitation purposes. Rest assured, you won't miss the jets ladies and gents because they get to WORK with those hands, it's by far better than soaking in dirty water. My opinion of this place took a complete 180 and I'm thrilled I gave them another chance. The branch location manager Sophie was very accommodating with my scheduling and eager to please. Having corporate personally reach out to me should tell you how exceptional the customer service is here. I love how all the products they use are all natural and how they go to the extreme to keep the services sanitary. I'm truly blown away and will absolutely make this my go to nail/wax/brow tenting salon. I encourage everyone to give this place a try and make it your go to salon with me! read more

I scheduled an appointment yesterday (6/27) for today (6/28). I called the location at 6:59, before my 7:05 appointment to let them know I was running a few minutes late. No one answered the phone and there wasn't an option to leave a message. When I arrived at 7:14, the salon was empty. No other customers and no techs visible. I was told by Austine, at the front desk, that I was too late and they couldn't accommodate me. I mentioned that I had tried to call BEFORE my appointment time to let them know I was on the way and no one answered. I was even more confused why no one had answered the phone when I arrived and saw no other customers there. Austine told me she'd tried to call me to let me know that I was too late. She called me at 7:15, as I was walking in the salon, my phone died after I called Miniluxe. She stated that their cancellation policy said 10 minutes was the most they could wait for a customer. However, this is mentioned nowhere on the Miniluxe website, nor did anyone mention this "policy" when I made my appointment. This was my first & last visit to Miniluxe. I was excited to try Miniluxe for their perfomance polish manicure and excited by the fact that they stayed open until 9, but wasn't given the opportunity. Austine insisted that I couldn't be accommodated while I observed that there were multiple techs talking in what I assume was the break room. This is a very bad look for a first time customer - to be told no one could help me while there was no one else in the salon and two techs chatting away. Parking at the Shops of Highland Park is always tight and I had to park in the back, which I explained, and I would have been there within their "10 minute window" if parking wasn't awful. When your front desk attendant comes up with more problems why it's my fault that I can't be served when the salon is empty, that's a problem and very poor customer service. As excited as I was to try Miniluxe and give this business a shot, I never will again and will be sure to advise my friends of the same. read more

LOVE their nail polish selection! So many pretty colors to choose from I ran out of fingers to test them on. All the staff members for amazing. I just went here recently and Nicole did my quick dry manicure, and she did a magnificent job! Very precise and good a cuticle care (no redness or cuts here). She was also precise on the nail paint as I have no paint splotches on or around my nails (very smooth). They have a wonderful nail selection. I used the $30 quick dry option which uses Dazzle Dry nail lacquer, a vegan polish and free of several chemicals found in most other brands. It only takes 5 minutes to totally dry without UV lights, heat, or quick dry sprays. I was worried it would only last a few days because it did not have the chemicals, but this is my second time at this nail salon using the same color and brand, Stardust is a gorgeous color by the way. My nail color chipped off a little but stayed pretty in tact for a couple of weeks! I am sold. No more funky driving techniques to avoid all nail contact! I have not done a pedicure here, but I am making this my manicure stop even though it can be a little steep at $30. They are big on cleanliness (new nail file and buffer each time), and they keep the space in clean order as well. I love the decor! First impression of this place was it was super cute and super clean. Got a mani and pedi and the service and conversation was amazing.
