Yay! I'm a fan! This Mini Mart is standard, but is run pretty well. I'll usually stop by here for a quick in and out on things I'll need before getting the night started on the weekends, or things like a snack or milk. They have a good selection of drinks I usually pick up before going out or partying haha Namely Mikes Hard Lemonade, which they have a good amount of flavors I hadn't tried before (check out the cherry lime flavor) or tall cans. All standard pricing on them ($2-3 for the regular cans, $4-5 for the bigger ones). They also have 2 for $4 on Monster Energy. Half-gallons of milk at $2.99. The main guy I always see there looks very happy to be attending customers, will greet you with a smile, crack a joke or two and wish you a 'Merry Christmas!' on your way out (yes, even in April haha). Awful experience. I come here ALL THE TIME or at least i USED to and i guess the last time i went there the transaction didn't go through (it was $20) so the next time i came in i was greeted by an AGGRESSIVE man and AGGRESSIVE woman who threatened me to pay by showing me that they had taken a picture of me on their phone as if i had stole. they kept saying they tried to call me but that's insane because why the **** would they have my phome number ??? of COURSE they couldn't call me. and they were extremely abrasive and rude basically threatening me to pay. Also, who just takes pictures of random girls shopping ? Do NOT go to this place especially if you're a woman. Super creepy and agressive, I'm NEVER going back. read more

i used to come to this shop all the time, not anymore. one day I guess I walked out and my transaction hadn't gone through (it was $20) and so the next time I came in two EXTREMELY aggressive employees greeted me and had a PICTURE OF ME SAVED ON THEIR PHONE and threatened me to pay the tab, even though the fact that it didn't go through the previous time was obviously an accident caused by THEIR system. I felt scared as they were basically yelling at me so I had to pay. It was a man and a woman and It was so creepy When they showed me they had saved photos of me on their phones. This is a great neighbor store I keep coming back to. I'm a smoker (I know, sucks) but they have Seneca's so that's a big plus for me as rates are crazy. Especially now that menthol cigs are banned, I've been kinda freaking out a bit over it, so Patrick, (thanks again) suggested I try this product you put in your pack that turns regular cigarette (which I don't like) to menthols. Who knew? Thank you for suggesting! Not only great service, they are sincere, helpful and care. I have witnessed and experienced many recognized by name, people laughing in line, chatting it up over scratching lottery tickets, (yes, they have winners!) or buying their favorite drink, (the choices are endless.) Much to see or things you need here, including many random items for the home you wouldn't expect. I've bought a soldering gun and iron, lot's of great incense, and they carry my Snapple sugar free peach tea and sell raw almonds. I agree with the earlier five star comments... you have to be blind not to see that this store is run super well, very inviting atmosphere and always so helpful and welcoming. Not to mention year after year free Thanksgiving lunches for all their customers! They probably feed over a hundred hungry mouths! Love this place!!! read more

This review is strictly about the U-Haul service here. This place is very hard to find. You pull into the lot out back where you see the trailers and trucks, but where exactly is the office? Don't bother asking around, "No speak English" is all you'll get. Finally found the bodega, only one guy working the bodega AND the U-Haul, so there was not enough staff to actually serve the bodega's customers AND the people who were waiting to pick up their reservations. The guy had to close the store (as in "I need everyone to leave because I have to go hook up her trailer and you can't stay in the store!"). Needless to say, everyone waiting in line (both bodega AND U-Haul) was pissed! You really should lose this service at this location. It's a mess of epic proportions! If you rent a U-Haul from here, you're asking for it! read more

Wow. Can't believe I'm the first to rate this fine establishment.. What's not to love about a bodega.. run by a family of the biggest, scariest-looking, steely-eyed Armenian(?) guys south of the OC/LA border? Well, for starters, of the holy family of bum wines (Boones, Mad Dog, Cisco, Thunderbird, and Night Train.) They only carry the first three. So if you're looking to go on a true bumwine-bender, you're gonna have to go across the street to Linda Liquor. BUT, if you need a plastic squirtgun from 1981, complete with dead cockroach in the bag, that's dustier than half the crap in the smithsonian.. this is the place. On a nostalgic note, this place also might be like methadone for LA "expats" who have been looking for a liquor store skanky enough to remind them of the five and dimes back home. All-in-all, I like this place. I've met some funny people while standing in line, and it's probably the last place on Earth you can get a coke for 50 cents. read more

This review is specifically regarding this markets "U-haul" affiliation & sales representation. While packing for a move I needed 2 very common supplies, a mattress cover and shrink wrap. I located the store online and called them to ensure they had the items before traveling to the store. A man on the phone confirmed they had them, then confirmed that he was certain. After arriving at the store I was informed they had no shrink wrap. Their shipping supplies can be located in the armpit of the store and supplies are very limited. *This experience was frustrating and not helpful to me. I would recommend the true Uhaul Store located on 33rd and El Cajon Blvd. they have a warehouse of supplies and great customer service. read more

Really big store with a lot of selection; the guys who work here are friendly and fair. I dropped off my U-Haul here (they have been doing the U-Haul service for something like 10 years) so I had a few minutes inside while they checked the truck. I chatted with the cashier for a bit, while people came in and out of the store. He was cracking jokes with almost every customer! You can tell these guys care about their store. read more

Ugh! Renting a u haul from 3this place is an absolute nightmare! My boyfriend had scheduled a u haul pick up at another location and en route to pick it up received a call that the other location had closed early but our reservation could be transferred to this spot. Not knowing any better or having much of a choice in the matter we agreed. As soon as we arrived at the gps specified location we were confused. This isn't a u haul place; it's a mini mart! After wandering around confused, we finally realized that it's part of the mini mart. The guy working the mini mart first couldn't find our reservation and then took about 45 minutes to get us set and out the door. It was really quite ridiculous! It seemed like he didn't know how to book the u haul and had called someone else to figure it out but they were speaking a different language so I have no idea what was going on. Then he told us that they didn't have any 15 foot trucks only 10 foot trucks and yet, miraculously when the other guy arrived to finish our transaction, a 15 foot truck appeared. We found their business ethics to be rather shady though. They told us that there was a full tank of gas and yet when we got to the truck the gauge read about 3/4. My boyfriend went back inside to notify the attendant and he "graciously" marked the sheet at 7/8 to full instead. It ended up costing $40 in gas to drive about 40 miles. Thankfully the return was quicker but not enough to make up for the previous experience. read more

Ive been a member of the LV community for quite sometime. Ive shopped at this establishment for years, known most of the workers on a personal and first name basis, Ive had both exceptional and downright rude customer service. Without patrons Minit Mart would not survive as they are not the only store in the area within a 3 block radius. I also know the owners of Criss Liquor, LV Liquor as well. Even their extended families. So, I gotta say im kinda set back as I was hung up on 5 times and still called back to give them my business. I know the importance of a family business and community. So... we need to support our small business in our community bcuz LV has been here longer than these business owners. These guys are awesome! I went to four different places, including Home Depot to get a copy of a desk key made and was promptly turned away from the first three places. I came in here and the guy said, "Let me see what I can do..." He made two and let me know one would probably not work and one would. He said to bring back the one that did not work and he would remake a second one for me. Amazing! read more

Whether it be Cell Phone Service, Cell phones themselves, a money order, Renting a U-Haul Truck (Not hard to find, and they even gave me a free 2-hour extension on my rental), Snacks, food & beverages, Tobacco, lotto, scratchers, or sex-drive enhancement hoopla - The Minit Market truly has it ALL. Gotta say I love this place! Don't know why I haven't said a review yet. I have been coming here since I could remember! Its been the same honest owners, who are brothers, since then. Those guys have a good sense of humor and enjoy their customers. I go there for everything from .99 Cents merchandise, laundry detergent, groceries, ice cream, medication, liquor, beer, wine, and my favorite thing there is the Hookah Supplies! I recommend everyone stop by and take a look. Buy some goodies! Thats what I do almost everyday haha :D read more
