I was recently in Utah for a charity golf event helping elderly wartime veterans for an organization I work with and one of the prizes was a blanket. I asked about it and as it turns out, it's unique to Utah. Unique doesn't even explain how amazing there are! I decided to go to the nearest by my hotel and wow! The store was huge! Beautiful colors everywhere and the selections were plentiful. Of course I am going to check out the clearance because they must be expensive! The very nice young woman said "come see our weekly special " . It was in a bag but she brought me over to the sample. I'm not necessarily a blanket person, but let me tell you! I am now. It was luxurious! Bought one for myself left and came back and bought 3 more for my daughters. Had to buy a duffel bag to bring them home. It was worth it! I've since ordered another one. I have made several purchases from this company, and have refered to several friends who have purchased as well. Today I phoned to express disappointment with a sweatshirt I purchased in December. I do not wear this sweatshirt daily ( I am in San Diego). It is full of little white pilfiries(?). Yesterday I spilled coffee with cream on the sweatshirt, I sprayed oxy clean on it and washed. Remnant of the stain is still there. The customer service person was argumentative and not helpful. The bottom line is that MC does not stand behind their expensive items, and that is unfortunate. On the back and front is the company logo-free advertisement...I will be wearing this sweatshirt inside out so I don't continue to promote Minky Couture. read more

Very disappointed with Minky's customer service. They have no interest in actually helping their customers or making things right. Instead of replacing a faulty blanket, they just try to push a small percentage discount so you spend even more money. On top of that, they actually told me to sew it myself, which is completely unacceptable for a product that should have been made correctly in the first place. That's not customer service, that's avoiding responsibility. If a product has an issue, it should be replaced, not brushed off with a coupon and DIY instructions. Went in to do some Christmas shopping never been in store before. I walked in no one greeted me, no one showed me what anything was all of it is wrapped in plastic no prices. There was a group of women standing talking crap about another employee I finally went up and said is there any way I can get help? The dirty and nasty looks I got were unreal I ended up walking out. I purchased a hugs pillow tuck blanket in January of 2023. It's been barely used and washed on gentle cycle maybe 3 times. I followed the washing instructions exactly as described on this site. It's shedding SO BAD. Like chunks of it are coming off. I understand that it's not under warranty any longer but clearly there's a default with this blanket. I mean I'm not complaining about lose stitching or something like that. I've ordered around 15 blankets from them but will never order from them again. $200 for a blanket that is falling apart 8 months later. No thanks. I was offered a 60% off discount code. Which if you watch the sales you can get through out the year. I haven't had any problems with the other blankets. I expected something way softer, thicker, and better quality than what I received, considering I have bought numerous blankets throughout the years that were less than half of what I paid for this one (and it was on sale too.). So sad, My daughter-in-law purchased and sent a beautiful blanket for me as a Thank you gift for flying out to Hill Air Force Base to watch my grandson, while she was having another child. The temperature here in Minnesota was very warm this past summer, so I did not use the blanket. Well the temperature has changed and the nights are cool. I went to use my blanket and noticed that one side of the blanket was not sewn together. So today I called customer service and they said that they only have a 30 day guarantee !! She also said I should bring it to a tailor to have them sew it and it shouldn't cost to much!!!!!!! Not sure who inspects these blankets. I have never been so unhappy . I ordered 2 "Monster" sized blankets. According to the sizing chart they should be fairly large. What we got was $250 throw blankets. Absolutely AWFUL!!! DO NOT BUY!!! The blanket has separated at the seams within 6 months. 1 month after buying it I washed it per directions, and their plastic label was peeling. When I made them aware they acted like I was the biggest inconvenience. They made me jump through a bunch of hoops to get it repaired. And it HAD to be repaired. It was rough, peeling, an absolute irritant to the skin. When I finally got it sent back to me, they had slapped on the most ugly cheap label ever. The blanket is not very soft either. It really is a shame how much the quality of the blanket and the quality of the customer service has plummeted over the years. I've been buying MC blankets for probably 7 years, and every penny was worth it until now. I bought a hugs a few months back and it shed right away, washed it a few times like they tell you to and nothing has changed. Didn't let it bother me too much, it's just one poor quality blanket out of 10. But I bought an Urban blanket over Black Friday and when I received it I opened it up (obviously not knowing that once it's opened up it's no longer exchangeable) it shed, had loose threads and has uncomfortably exposed mesh nylon to create the design. Tried to exchange or return it and was turned away, quite the waste of $150. I don't think I'll allow myself to waste my money on this crappy quality anymore. I bought a monster sized minky blanket, which was lightly and rarely used over the past 90 days and we soon noticed there was stitching that had come undone on one side. I love minky blankets and went to the layton store to see if anything could be done to fix the defective blanket (with receipt in hand) and buy another blanket as a gift. The sales/customer service individuals at the Layton store were short, arrogant, mean and unhelpful and made it seem as though I was being high maintenance for asking if anything could to fix the defective blanket. I decided then and there that they would not be getting additional business from me and decided not to buy another blanket. I'm sure taking my business elsewhere is not going to make a difference to their bottom line but its unfortunate to see a company treat customers so dismissively. I usually love minky and usually they have great customer service and high quality blankets ! But I bought three of the super plush hugs blankets (which you would think were great quality because they are even more expensive!)but they started shedding! I hadn't washed them yet either! So I called and their customer service team said that if I washed it on cold and then tumble dried it on air only that it would solve my problem! Bought a robe for my mom for her Christmas gift. Gave it to her early cause it being cold. It is to big. We tried to exchange but since it's pass the two week mark they will not exchange it. It's not a return. They aren't losing any money. It's a gift. So now she's out of a gift and I'm out money. So I recommend not buying from @minkycouture @minkycouturelayton for any gift. If you do I would wait and buy it just a few days before you give the gift to someone. Otherwise the person you bought it for will be screwed. My husband and I were given a Minky Couture blanket when my son was born as a gift. He absolutely loves the blanket so much he can't sleep without it. So we decided to buy another one for him and one for myself. However the new ones must be a newer cheaper fabric, because the amount of shed that comes off the blankets make them unusable. Sorry Minky! You blew it on the robes and they are a lot of money. I live in St. George where its hot and I literally wore the thing three times. It shredded on the inside from the seam out, which you already know about as your clerk told me it was a faulty design and you quit selling them. They were being redesigned. She didn't have the authorization to issue a store credit, but would have the manager call me. Got left a VM that a robe is intimate so can only be returned for 7 days. Nothing regarding the faulty design or quitting production due to it from the manager and no credit. I've spent a lot of money at your stores, but won't be spending any more until they honor what they themselves called a faulty design. read more

The website states free shipping with orders $250. I bought a costume made Grande blanket paid $299. When checking out, I didn't qualify for free shipping. Apparently their shipping policies were updated because of COVID-19. You'd think that the website would be updated as well. So I ended up paying $16 for shipping. This is the 4th and last Minky Coture blanket that I buy. The deal breaker for me was after 10 minutes of placing my order, I contacted costumer service to add a bag to store the blanket. The cost of the bag is $4. Customer service replied by the next day stating that orders could not be modified, and that I would need to place a new order to buy the bag. It doesn't make sense to me to buy a $4 bag and pay $16 for shipping again! Minky Coture has lost a faithful costumer. In good faith, I could not and WILL NOT recommend them to my friends and family.
