Quick n' Tasty sports the actual "Famous Raspberry Shakes" logo and I was reasonably impressed with their raspberry shake. It was nicely filled with tons of raspberries and the flavor actually comes through. I heard a rumor that they use canned raspberries..but who doesn't when raspberries are not in season? Perhaps that is a temporary solution when they can't get fresh raspberries for one reason or another. On the pricier side, $5.50 for a small (compared to La Beau's regular for $5.99). Wanted a raspberry shake and we chose this location for its short lines. The shake was flavorful but I found what appeared to be freeze dried raspberries in the shake which were a turn off. You order at one window and pickup at another. Overall a no-frill good treat for a hot summer day. read more

I had never been there, but my poor husband, who remembers their food being so yummy and good, from past years, was sorely disappointed. There was no use in complaining, because the lines got crazier and crazier. Nothing "quick" at all about this place, but because the "Tasty" sits in the heart of the city and intersection, my crew insists on frequenting on most of our BL visits, and I drudgingly comply. Based on my rating ... obvi I'm not the biggest fan. The wait is truly incredible here during peak summer - I've waited over an hour for mediocre, barely mixed, and overpriced shakes. Everyone knows when you go to Bear Lake, you have to get one of their famous raspberry shakes. We got those and some others on a Friday night. The wait was about 20-30 minutes, but it was worth it. I had the raspberry and it was creamy, not super sweet and had bits of raspberries in it. We also ordered some of their fries. They weren't greasy or salty, but were a bit soggy. Not impressed, in fact, shocked that these shakes are the prices they're at. Small shakes are $5.49ish and the LG shakes at close to $7. We ordered a chocolate, cookie dough, strawberry, and the raspberry shakes. Chocolate was good. Cookie dough was also good, but could've had more cookie dough, strawberry - nope, and Raspberry ehhh ok. I don't even want to know how small the fries and burgers are! When we got the shakes they were melted and dripping when they gave it to us. All the flavors were subpar. You could literally go to Taco Amigo for a big shake for the a cheaper rice and yummier. The ambience was ok and the staff seemed very nice, but it did take forever to get shakes since there were SO many people. Garden City has no shortage of burger and shake restaurants and Quick-N Tasty is right in the middle of town. I've patronized most of the local restaurants including LaBeau's, Zipz, and Hometown. They all have their pros and cons. How does Quick-N Tasty compared? I would honestly say that it's among my top choices in Garden City! Quick-N Tasty serves up GREAT raspberry milkshakes that include an abundance of fresh raspberries! The Oreo shakes are also great. Their freshly cut, homemade french fries were excellent too, very tasty and served piping hot. The downside of Quick-N- Tasty is the burgers, in my opinion. My bacon cheeseburger was nothing special. The beef patty was unseasoned and almost flavorless and the toppings were mushy and not great. Come for the milkshakes and french fries and skip the hamburgers. Trust me. Quick-N Tasty also has very limited seating. They have a small dining room inside and a covered wagon outside. It's mostly a grab and go kind of restaurant, so plan your visit accordingly. read more

So what do you do in Bear Lake Utah...wellllll for me...Run three half marathons in three days...of course!! However once the running is completed...this tummy of mine is ready for something good...and on the last day of races, I decided to treat my stomach to some famous raspberry milk shake from Quick-N Tasty food shack. Its not a restaurant...however there is plenty of outdoor seating around the pick-up spot. There are over 20 flavors of shakes that one could purchase, however since it was known for raspberry shakes, I settled for raspberry. It was good...it was very thick...almost soft ice cream but too thick to be a shake. I would say a friend purchased blackberry, and really that was the best flavor they had. If you ever find yourself in Bear Lake, make sure to check out Quick -N Tasty...its worth the trip and the serving is huge so bring an empty belly!! read more

My first visit here was way before my original review in 2014. Then I was here in 2014. And again twice in the last three years. It's always for the same thing: raspberry shakes. And it's always with a massive group of hungry teenagers. And they've gotten more consistent over the years. The last time I was here just a week ago, they were slammed. We had at least 20 people in front of us in line, but undaunted, we waiting some 10 minutes and submitted our order for nearly 20 shakes. The kind girl taking orders was very sweet and we tried to tip well, but having overloaded them at their busy time, I'm not sure she was all too entertained with our work. Oddly, not too many people came into the line after us, so apparently it's a feast/famine situation. Our shakes came out quick enough and I'm happy to report that they seem to be a better consistency. In the past, they've been really thick with berries in the bottom, but they were no thicker, more, or less berried on top than on bottom. I inhaled it, and even though raspberry shakes are still not my jam, they're good. Note that there's a ton of seating behind the building. A whole grassy area, picnic tables, and awning, and that's where the restroom is, too. It's a nice spot and it was packed. But later in the afternoon (we were there around 7pm) the sun goes behind the building and you get sweet shade. On blistering days, that's some nice relief and you cool off with a shake and shade. read more

Unfortunately, there was already many people waiting and there were only two employees inside... none were wearing masks or gloves. I ordered and we stood outside in 45 F degree weather for over an hour to get our shakes. Good shakes, but not worth the wait. Should be renamed to something else, but definitely not 'quick' N Tasty unless they get more employees. The banana shake I got was good though. How can you go to Bear Lake and NOT have some ice creamy goodness? This town is big on all things raspberry, so we stopped by on our way home to get the famous shake. My hubby went with the renowned Raspberry lime, I know myself too well and knew it wouldn't be enough decadence (read: gluttony) for me so I had a raspberry shake and asked for cheesecake thrown in for good measure. It was fantastic and I didn't need/want to eat for the rest of the night. So huge!! We also got some hand cut fries to share and were not disappointed. While in line, we learned from the locals in front of us that this was a "very popular frozen treat" and that we "found the best shake in town!" I got the signature Raspberry, while Chris got the Strawberry-banana. Both shakes were INCREDIBLE - the shakes' butter-smooth texture, pieces of real fruits mixed in, the "Small" cup been HUGE in portion, and just amazingly refreshing shake that's light and not overly sweet at all! I could taste the sweet & tartness of the raspberries, without feeling sticky or way sweetened as I get post-McDonald's milkshakes. The shakes were almost light enough to pass as yoghurt shakes, with the wholesome dairy goodness minus the fake flavoring or sugar! Quick and Tasty should be sued for false advertising because it is neither "quick" nor "tasty". Here's our tale: we got in line at about 7:30pm on a Saturday night. By about 7:50pm we ordered 3 shakes and a ham and swiss sandwich. At about 8:15pm we received the shakes, but not the sandwich. We proceeded to eat the shakes while waiting for the sandwich. It was 9:03pm when we finally received the almost forgotten about sandwich. I kid you not. It took over an hour to make a ham and swiss sandwich. For those of you not in the know, that's 2 pieces of sandwich bread buttered and toasted, a piece of ham, a piece of cheese, in this case a piece of lettuce, a slice of tomato, a few pickles, and a smear of mayo. That took over an hour to prepare. Hell, go to the super market across the street and you should be able to throw that together in less than 30 minutes. To make it worse, the sandwich wasn't much better than you get out of convenience store quick meal bin or a truck stop bathroom dispenser. In the restaurant's defense, they appeared to have a 14 year old boy in the back doing the cooking. Maybe he was tired from summer school classes or has never eatten a ham and swiss. The shakes are nothing special. I think they lack sweetness and taste kind of bland. Other places in town serve better ones. Regardless, this place is joke and if you go here you're the punchline. Do yourself a favor and go across the street. There are plenty of other places that serve the same type of food, at the same or higher quality, but in under 20 minutes. read more
