I will never trust Gregg again. His employee decided that it was more important to screw up my vehicle rather than fix it, so he could force me to sell it to him. So he did not install the steering box correctly so that my car couldn't steer so that he could offer me a low ball offer to buy the vehicle. Then I was told the frame was cracked and that can never be fixed safely. Fortunately, I know a blacksmith who then worked on my "cracked" frame. There was NO CRACK! So my blacksmith called in his own mechanic. Low and behold, the steering box was installed completely incorrectly! Do Not Ever bring your vehicle here for any reason. Gregg absolutely hates his job and has checked out of reality. Sad!! read more

We broke down in our BMW Mini on State Road 68 just south of Taos, New Mexico on the first day of an 8-day road trip from Denver to Boston. It was no man's land -- we had to climb out of the Rio Grande gorge to a hilltop just to get a cell phone signal. Called Mino's Garage - who also has tow trucks. He sent one to pick us up on a Saturday night, when I thought the mountain lions might get us. Pulled the Mini all the way to Santa Fe, where the annual festival was that weekend. There wasn't a hotel room to be had anywhere for 50 miles. We dropped the car at Mino's Garage, the driver put us up in the guest room in his home, and the next morning - a Sunday - Mino came down and trouble shot the car. Coil was gone. Parts Store closed on Sunday. First thing the next day, Mino got the coil, installed it, and we were back on the road. The bill for both the towing and the coil and labor was reasonable, especially considering the circumstances. Mino and his driver saved our bacon and treated us like everyone hopes for in a situation like that. We were passing through, but we got treated like family. read more

My truck battery died unexpectedly and Luis came out. He was a little earlier than expected. He was really friendly and personable and positive. My car wasn't in an ideal location so he was careful to move it so that everything could happen the way it needed to. We had a car with a frozen differential in Los Alamos and needed to put it on a flatbed trailer. AAA couldn't help us because the didn't have a lift two truck, so they referred us to a couple of other companies, that also couldn't help us, but one of them gave us Mino & Greg's Automotive's names, but didn't know the number. When I called them, they were willing to help and called a driver, Louise, who came up, sized up the situation, and used the lifting the back of his flatbed to left the rear of the 67 Mustang and then backed it up onto the flatbed and centered it perfectly. He was a real pro and really saved our bacon. I strongly recommend these folks. They will help you even when everyone else turns you down. read more

These people are amazing. We came in to get a sound in our car looked at. They did tests and did their best to fix it, but it required a much larger project. They said that since they couldn't fix it, they wouldn't charge us. We insisted but they wouldn't take our money. When we left the sound was gone and the car was fixed. It ended up making it for a long time without issue. They're great!!!!!!! read more

These guys do good work. They have been thorough and professional in three situations including a short-notice brake job before a 2,000-mile trip. They also caught a minor but significant mistake someone else had made and saved me money in that way. We've used M&G multiple times, usually 'small to medium' repairs... I consider myself a half-expert on car issues (and a true expert on googling error codes). Each time, I find M&G courteous up front, quick to diagnose the problem, and able to answer more technical questions. Their phone-call updates give a complete picture, including where parts are coming from, how many days, etc. In contrast to some other mechanics, I feel that they are honest and truly trying to do right. They add additional details when I ask. One or two times they admitted being swamped, saying, "Sorry, next week." To me, that's integrity. I could've put 4 stars due to our lack of Major-Repair needs, but the definition of five stars is "no problems," and that's our experience! read more

We took our truck for repair here after an accident. Insurance covered the cost for repairs. After about 2 weeks, the "repaired" side began having issues again. We returned to Mino and Gregs to see if it was something the insurance should have covered. When we dropped it off, we specifically said DO NOT PERFORM ANY REPAIRS WITHOUT SPEAKING TO US FIRST FOR APPROVAL. 4 hours later, they called to say we fixed your truck and you owe $300. The owners son said the part had fallen apart is his hand and he had no choice but to fix it. My husband calmly told the him that we had not approved any repairs on the truck, and he asked to speak to the owner. The son refused, so we resorted to alternative methods to contact the owner. When we spoke to the owner himself, he said he went ahead and repaired it because he assumed we wanted it repaired. And he had a completely conflicting story from his son. When my husband pointed this out, the owner became verbally abusive saying he did the repair out of the kindness of his heart and how dare we try to "screw him over". Basically, the miscommunication between owner and son led to THEIR mistake not ours, but he blamed us. We picked up the truck, offered to pay the bill, but he refused as he muttered curse words under his breath. read more

While on our honey moon, we had car trouble just outside of Tesuque late Thursday afternoon. My wife found Mino & Gregs and I called. Although they told me they could not get out car in until the following week, they said I could take it in and they would run a diagnostic for me. The minute we met Greg he invited us to relax in the waiting area and he would take a look at our car. 30 minutes later, he came and and explained the cause and said they are going to work on it for us so we can get back on the road. 45 minutes after that, he walks in and said the car is now running good. Even though he would not be in on Friday, he gave me his card and said to call him anytime during the weekend if the issue resurfaced. We shook hands and he sent us on our way. Fast forward 4 days, we made it back to our home in Denver, CO, safely and with no issues. Thank you Greg and staff for all your help! read more
