I called on a whim being that it is close to my home. I have always cut my own hair and it looks like it :) Master stylist Mino answered the phone on the 2nd ring and worked me into his schedule for the same day. When I got to the salon, which has free parking being it btw, I let him know that I wanted a shorter length and more layers. Mino is very personable and chatted with me the entire time about his experiences working all over the world. He's worked for a renowned hairstylist in Beverly Hills as well as in New York and Montreal. The way he cut my hair was very unique; he was very precise and made sure that the style fit my face. He even trimmed the split ends underneath my hair (rather than just the ends) so it looks even healthier. I'm trying to grow my hair out so I asked for it to be cleaned up and for the layers to remain intact, which is exactly what he did. I've been twice: he doesn't wash or style your hair, he just cuts it. So, you so you don't get a pampered full salon experience. It also makes it hard to see the cut, until you've washed and tried to style it. The 2nd time I went it was SOO bad, people at work asked if I cut it myself! I went back and asked him to fix it and he was gaslighting me: telling me I didn't know how to style it or wasn't used to it.
