I decided to try eyebrow threading on the spur of the moment after driving by. I've been wanting to try it for a while, and the eyebrows were looking scary-scraggly. Once inside, the very nice lady who I sort of half-understood sat me down and told me to "stretch". I looked at her blankly until she asked if I'd ever had this done before, and when I told her I hadn't she went into her spiel about why threading was better than waxing and tweezing and showed me how to stretch my eyebrow area out. I was out of there less than 5 minutes later with PERFECT looking brows. It hurt a bit more than waxing but less than tweezing, especially if you have a lot to do. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for awesome eyebrows. They're the exclamation points of your face, after all. read more

I stumbled upon this place while trying to get some Christmas Eve tacos next door. I needed my eyebrows done, but am in town for work and hadn't had a chance to find a place yet. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door, was asked to sign in, and was seated immediately. She asked if I had had threading done before (it's the only way for me now!) and got right to work. She was fast and efficient. She had me check out her work after the first eyebrow to make sure everything was good before moving on to the second. The second one matches the first and looks great with my face! I'm pretty lucky in the fact that I have naturally full, dark eyebrows that grow with an arch. I generally just get them cleaned up, it's always a risk going some place new- every so often I get someone who likes to take my eyebrows down to nothing. That was not the case here, my eyebrows are perfect, they look very natural and I could not be more pleased with the service I received. read more

I have noticed that as I get older the more manly my facial hair looks. No more soft, less noticeable peach fuzz. Since this was my first time threading my face (YUP, my hairy bread must go!) she gave me reasons why threading was better than tweezing and waxing, how long its been done in India, how long she's been doing it (since she was very young), and the process. You have to make sure to stretch your skin tight so that they don't cut your skin. The outcome: smooth, soft, HAIRLESS face and perfect eyebrows. They do a decent job on your eyebrows it's hit or miss if they look okay when you leave. And instead of listening to you when you check them they try to fight you on why they shaped your brows the way they did. Also, I have been going for years now and have never had a problem tipping on my card until yesterday when I was told that "cash tips are more appreciate". I spend $20 every two weeks to thread my eyebrows and upper lip. (I believe there is an extra $1 charge if you do not pay with cash) Staff is ALWAYS very polite and seem to be in a good mood. I have noticed that if there are no customers waiting in line, they spend alot more time threading and making your brows perfect. This is the only place I will go for my eyebrows! I have been done really bad when it comes to my thick eyebrows but they helped me get them together. I also love how they just don't throw a napkin doused in alcohol at me when they're done but rather give me a choice of what I want to use. I recommend them to anyone who prefers thread. I LOVE going to Minshu's! I've never had to wait longer than 5 minutes to get in. Once you're in the seat, the women are fast and accurate. The pricing is good. Only $9 if using a card or $8 if paying cash. They also typically offer coupons in the local coupon booklets that get set out around Brownsburg/Avon areas. The building's location is a bit hard to get to, somewhat hidden away in a strip at a busy intersection (36 and Raceway Road) but so worth a bit of traffic hassle. Inside, they've created a relaxing environment with quiet music playing in the background and best of all, I feel so much better when I leave! read more

I love these ladies. They know what they're doing and the job is done much faster than other places I've been to. I actually had my first threading experience at this place and the lady explained the process for me very clearly, what I should do to maintain my brows, which products should I apply, etc and etc. It took them probably 6 mins to do my brows and they always some out perfect. I like that they tend to do in long strokes instead of short ones - less painful this way this they will need fewer strokes to finish. The price is $9 and I normally tip another $2 and my brows are in good shape for at least 2-3 weeks. read more

I have been going to this place on and off and I actually stopped going for a while because I found another eyebrow place that is lower price, and actually shape your eyebrows very well. The only reason I went again this time was due to it being like 5 minutes away from my house.. but again it was a disappointment... every single time I have gone in the past they always ask if I use razors or twizzers and how bad it is and blah blah... and this time again it was the same thing.. during the whole time she was doing my eyebrows she was criticizing for basically doing that... she took I would say 6 minutes in total and charged $10 when before it was $8... she cleaned it up but didn't shape then well.. she ended up saying she couldn't do certain parts before there was not enough hair there and I needed to have hair grow on that part and so on.... again I will not be going there again.. This was my first time having someone else thread my eyebrows, I usually do it myself but I wanted someone professional to do it for a special occasion. They absolutely ruined my eyebrows! I kept them untouched for them to grow out so that she can do her job properly, but not only did she (Kuldip) shorten them by a couple cms but she left one eyebrow a lot thicker then the other! She kept ignoring me when I told her she had taken too much off the ends. I would not recommend this place (or at least the lady who did my eyebrows)! The best thing about Min Shu's is that they are always consistent. They are also fast, inexpensive and extremely nice.
