This was perfect for an easy and quick Saturday night dinner and more upscale than Asian/Fusion/Chinese options in the area. The menu was impressive with a lot of really great options and familiar favorites. We had the crab rangoon which had a lovely light wonton and our toddler ate most of the gyoza... we should have ordered more! Then we had the drunken noodles and pineapple fried rice. Both we would have again! I'd also love to try a number of other items on the menu. The sushi looked delicious and we tried one roll that was super tasty but also a little high priced versus comparable rolls around the city. Overall, it's a little on the pricier end but that won't stop us from returning or placing an order to-go the next time we don't feel like cooking at home! read more

I've only been to Mint once and I want to revisit it a few more times to decide how it compares to other Thai joints in the area (Mango Tree, Green Papaya). I used to drive past this restaurant every single day on my way to and from work. From the outside, it looks sterile and maybe bland, and I've seen other restaurants fail in this space. So, I was actually pretty surprised to learn that it had such high ratings on Yelp and Google. Convinced that it must be worth a try, I had lunch here recently with a colleague. We arrived around 11:30 and the restaurant was pretty much empty. It's a spacious place with big, wide booths and plenty of room to spread out. I ordered hot green tea to drink, which comes by the mug. Not sure what brand of tea they serve, but it's bright and grassy and exactly the kind I like. AND it comes with a saucer so you can remove the tea bag when your tea reaches proper brewed strength like a civilized person. (Sorry, it irks me when restaurants just give you a mug and you are supposed to...what? Put it on your only paper napkin? Hold the used tea bag in your hand until a plate comes? Suffer oversteeped tea like a heathen? We live in A SOCIETY... I digress.) For lunch, I ordered the green curry with chicken, spice level 2. Spice levels are always a gamble but Mint's 2 was a comfortable warming level. Definitely spiced, but definitely not uncomfortable if you're into that sort of thing. The sauce is really delicious, a definite competitor for my reigning favorite at the Mango Tree. There was a good amount of chicken, plus bamboo shoots, peas, carrots and broccoli. My one critique is that the broccoli was a bit too large to manage with just a fork. Overall, a solid lunch option. I will definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu and try to decide where Mint falls on my power rankings of local Thai/sushi mashups. read more

Me and my boyfriend had lunch at Mint Bistro and have absolutely no complaints. The service was equally as amazing as the food and considering that my boyfriend is very picky when it comes to asian cuisine I was ecstatic to see he cleared his plate... and then some :) I would highly recommend trying the Yaki Udon!! read more

Got this place recommended from a friend and I can say, it did NOT disappoint. I got the garden salad as an "appetizer", it was alright, I mean it's a salad I wasn't expecting a ton. I just LOVE the ginger dressing they use. I got the dirty milk boba and my fiancé got the regular boba, both were some of the best boba we've had, not too sweet. I had the chicken pad Thai as my entree and she got the simple California roll and the tempura fried California roll. The chicken pad Thai was unlike any I've had, not super heavy and EXTREMELY flavorful, I had to force myself to stop eating because I didn't want to over eat! The California roll was super fresh and full of flavor, the fried roll was even better honestly. Having that tempura flavor added in with the warmth of it coming right out of the kitchen was so amazing. Oh yeah, did I mention everything was warm? My pad Thai was steaming! Our waitress (I cannot remember her name) but she was so pleasant and VERY attentive to us, huge props to her for putting out great service. This is the second time I've eaten at The Mint. I am from out of state and am in town visiting friends. The first time I ate there was 3 or 4 years ago and the food was delicious. Last night we returned; 4 adults and two kids in tow. It was around 7 pm and the place was busy. We had a 20 minute wait to get a large table. The staff kept checking back with us to ensure we were ok. At one point they offered us two tables; one for four people and one for two. We decided to wait for a larger table. Once we were seated, Evan immediately brought water to the table. They had a table placard so that we could scan the menu on our phones. One person asked for a paper menu and Evan accommodated us. So we were off and ordering a lot of sushi, with chicken teriyaki for the kids, and edamame to start. Dragon rolls, CA rolls, salmon, tuna and more. It was all delicious. The edamame was warm and perfectly cooked. Evan was attentive but not intrusive. He was knowledgeable, polite and had a pleasant demeanor. Just discovered this gem yesterday! With recently moving to the area we've been trying to find new things each time we want to take out and yesterdays order was from Mint! We loved how close to home this was for us. My husband got the Drunken Noodles - they were amazing and would definitely get them again. I had the Pad Thai and it was good but I was craving a bit more spice. Overall we really enjoyed our dinner and will be back to try more selections in the future. Hubby and I had a very nice date night at the Mint Bistro. We were first struck by the decor...modern and minimal, yet intimate and warm. The restaurant was VERY clean, even the restrooms. We had great food and service here. Hubby ordered a fruit tea with boba to start, and said that it tasted of fresh fruit, not just an instant powder mix like some places. He added on fresh peaches and popping boba, which were kind of fun. I ordered hot tea. It came as just hot water with a tea bag. Our entrees were of generous portions and we were pretty happy with them. The vegetables were tender crisp and the dishes were well seasoned. The only "criticism" I could give was fairly minor. I just thought that my dish had a bit too much sauce. The sauce was great tasting, but by its nature, was assertive...salty soy, ginger, etc. It definitely needed more noodles and vegetables or else a little less sauce to bring it into balance. read more

The majority of Mints dishes are on the spicy side but the upside is you can adjust the spicy scale to your liking!! I've been here twice now, and yes I will be back again! Out of the appetizer selection I tried; Fried calamari, crab Rangoon, Thai fish cakes and was let down especially the fish cakes! They were the size of a silver dollar coin and had a "rubber"texture, not very appetizing. I didn't think the sushi was above average or stood out, and really wasn't worth writing about. Now for the main entree. I tried the Classic Hot Salmon. Overall it was tasty with one exception, the salmon was very, very dry. How disappointing. Now the Mint Bistro Steak was beautifully cooked and was enjoyable. The Spicy Thai Basil rice is spectacular! My daughter enjoyed the Yaki Udon which has been her go to for entree choice. My absolute favorite dish would be the Thai Suki Yaki Soup!! Very spicy so I get it adjusted to my likeness. Such an enjoyable soup with lots of flavors that satisfy! And now for dessert... The Gyoza appetizer tasted like the kind you buy frozen at the supermarket. The salad was good but came in this tiny bowl so you really couldn't mix the dressing in. My friend had the soup and didn't say if it was good or bad. I had the Mint Bistro Steak which smelled wonderful but that's all I can say for it. The meat was sliced very thin and was heated by the cast iron skillet that it came out in and the veggies were veggies, not much sauce. I was very disappointed with the meat texture and the overall taste.The rice was tasty.$22. My friend had the Sake Don Salmon and only ate a third of it.
