All the food were fine, drinks were fine. I don't have a problem with the price, with all its happening in this world. However feel like the quantity should be bit more if I'm paying that price specially for sushi. Ordered a California roll for my young kid, it wasn't a lot and had to put another order to fill her up. For bubble tea, you need to pay extra for bobas that comes in a smaller cup than regular. Definitely not a place for sushi or ramen,there's tons other restaurants that have much better deal for that. If you're there for basics stuff like fried rice/noodle, even simple Thai food, flavor matches the price. Came here based on the good reviews and recommendation from friends but left after the appetizer without ordering anything else because they were not willing to accommodate a simple dietary preference on our sushi order. The waitress was very apologetic but said the sushi chef won't budge. I mean, how hard is it to leave off the cucumber on a California Roll and instead put cream cheese in its place. Do yourself a favor and don't come here as the chef is not about customer service. We ended up over at Tong's Thai and both the food and the service was tops. UPDATE: We have been to Tong's Thai twice now and believe it to be a better choice than this place. read more

I went to Mint Bistro last night with my boyfriend and his family (who are first generation Vietnamese, and pretty serious about their Asian cuisine). We had a -fantastic- time. The restaurant had a modern, yet relaxed atmosphere, with plenty of dark corners that offered a cozy feel of privacy. It was really refreshing, considering that I don't really think of Milford when I think of "hip dining experience." This restaurant fills a gaping need in Milford's community, and I really hope that it does well. Since we were looking to celebrate a birthday, we went all out with the food, which we shared across our table liberally. For appetizers, we sampled the garlic wings, tempura kalamari rings, miso soup, a beef salad, and the kimchi soup. (My favorite!) It all tasted so fantastic, and surprisingly, it didn't feel too heavy before the main course. For main course, we ordered two plates of sashimi (the white tuna was heavenly, and so were the scallops), red curry, crunchy pad Thai, and Thai basil. It was all delicious, but the real star was the bulgogi. It was served on a sizzling platter, and the tender beef, earthy mushrooms, and sauteed onions make this a very approachable dish for less adventurous eaters, while still retaining that Korean BBQ flavor. Oh, and we topped the whole meal off with several bottles of hot sake, which made the meal perfect! For dessert, we ordered the fried bananas, which, of all the dishes we sampled, were my least favorite. The deep fried oreos were wonderful, but as all deep fried battered goods go, cooled into a flavorless blob. If you're looking to end your meal with a light, sweet dessert, go right for the mochi ice cream. I chose strawberry, and the presentation and flavor were perfect. Used to be fans of Tongs but this place is far better. Wait staff kind of green and sure they will improve as this place is brand new. Tonight my husband and I placed a take-out order. I ordered the Pineapple fried rice. There are five vegetables that I do not care for in this dish and I asked that they be omitted and replace with extra pineapple. As I am opening the bag, I notice a charge for extra pineapple. I could not believe they charge me for this when I had five vegetables omitted from my meal. By their logic, my meal should have been reduced for each vegetable I had omitted. This did not happen. They were more than happy to omitted the five vegetables and charge me the full price PLUS charge me for having the nerve to ask for extra pineapple. We usually go to May Thai and will continue. They never charge for extra pineapple when I am omitting more from the dish than I am asking them to replace. read more

This place was sorta really cool. Nice atmosphere. I'm curious as to how well it will do in this area. Seems a little 'beyond' the Milford Parkway. But I'm glad it's here! They're a bit pricy but for the atmosphere and the quality of food you get, it's a-ok. The wait staff is very friendly. The plum wine is great!! Be mindful that the sushi rolls on the maki menu are small. Normally, for me, it's hard to eat a whole sushi roll; at this place, I ate two. I ordered the tempura roll and the spicy shrimp roll; the spicy shrimp roll is NOT spicy at all. My husband wasn't sure about ordering and so he described what he was looking for and they gave him a great suggestion, which was exactly what he described. We really enjoyed are meal. We tried a selection of thai dishes today - red curry w chicken, basil shrimp, hot basil fried rice with chicken, chicken satay and the exception crab rangoon. Everything was good and I really cannot pick a favorite. The inside is cute with flat screen tvs and black booths. Looking forward to trying more dishes. Its tucked away near the Walmart in Milford. The price point for the entrees was average. There's a $3 upcharge for shrimp. Good portions and lots of fresh veggies which I appreciate. The medium spice level was pretty good but I think next time will go with hot as I felt the food today was a milder medium. read more

We have dined at MInt probably 5-6 times, and ordered carry-out a few times And, I am sure we will be back. The restaurant has a nice vibe and even somewhat unique for the area it's in. The food is good, and service even better. The 3 stars opposed to higher is due to it being a little pricey for what you get. It's noticeable that there are some cuts being made here and there. My opinion is that there are some better options for the same $$ spent, just not as convenient as far as location. I would suggest trying it if you have not already. The basic sushi rolls are so-so. This place is amazing! The servers were friendly and the food came fast. They have very delicious authentic Thai food! I had the crazy udon noodles. It was so delicious. This is our second visit here, the first was when they first opened a few years ago. We were here at 4:30 pm as they just opened for dinner. We were seated right away, and then our waiter came over like he was being inconvenienced. Let me get you some waters. And walked away. Came back said if you have any questions let me know as he walked away again. Came back 5 minutes later said you want an appetizer. We ordered the spring rolls. He walked away so quickly we did not even get to order our meal. Appetizer came and he was there in a second. Took our order, but kept questioning my wife of her choice of having the vegetable platter with no spice. He was almost disturbed by it and asked her three times are you sure that's what you want. Four of us visited here recently, the decor is really modern and has a nice atmosphere. The food was great, the heat was exactly as requested and all very tasty, our server was helpful but when asked a couple of questions she didn't know the answer and didn't go to check. The only real complaint was that we hadn't finished eating our appetizers when the main dishes came out.....that for me is a no no. The server started moving the dishes around to try and find room on the table, it just puts you off and means you end up rushing through your food. It was a Sunday evening and the place wasnt overly busy so there was no need to rush through their service.
