In fairness, by the time I was called back my attitude wasn't pleasant. This office has to many distractions, Music and televisions in both the waiting and the treatment rooms. My old Dentist had the TV in the treatment room but their hygentist would ask if you would like to see something different or did the television bother me. My TV was tuned to a conservative TV program focusing on the news, I could have done without the TV but apparently she wanted her news. My technician attempted small talk but I wasn't in the mood for answering personal questions that had already been asked and answered on my registration. I.e. where I lived and worked or if I was retired and my reason for the visit. After taking 18 Xrays (seriously) the tech then asked me if I wanted my teeth cleaned? DUH! that was my reason for the appointment. Then, the doctor comes in and speaks never extending his hand. Something my other dentist always did and as a older male (64) something I am accustomed to doing when meeting another male in a business setting. Overall everyone was nice but as a southern born male who considers myself a gentleman I didn't feel appreciated. I left my old dentist because of a billing issue that was made by a staff member but will likely go back now.

I also did not feel any pain whatsoever during the operation. I highly recommend this dentist he has a wonderful personality as does his assistant. They even have a TV you can watch while you are in the chair and his prices are very competitive as compared to other practices in the area for the same service.

Warning: Unexpected $1,017 bill after being told visit was covered…read more I visited Conyers Smiles Dentistry as a new patient for what I was told was a routine exam. When I arrived, staff confirmed my Cigna insurance had been verified and my visit was covered. I paid a copay and thought nothing of it. Weeks later I received an Explanation of Benefits showing I owe $1,017 out of pocket for a Cone Beam CT Scan, multiple Oral/Facial Imaging procedures, and Saliva Testing. None of these were explained to me before, during, or after my appointment. No treatment plan was shown to me. No cost estimate was provided. I was never told any of this was being done. My insurance denied all of it. Cigna flagged the saliva test as "not a dental service" and the CT scan as simply not covered neither of which are standard for a new patient checkup. I am now formally disputing these charges with the practice, Smile Generation corporate, and the Georgia Board of Dentistry. I would caution anyone especially new patients to ask for a written cost estimate and treatment plan BEFORE allowing any procedures to be performed here.

For the last several years, my initial appointment was only x-rays and I would have to make a different appointment for my cleaning. Imagine going to get your nails done but they only looked at them and sent you home with a later date for your manicure.

It did not feel like the dentist cared about the quality of the work being done, and unfortunately the result showed. It felt rushed and disengaged, which left me with little confidence in the care I received. I have never had issues like this with previous dentists, making this experience especially disheartening. The outcome reflected a lack of attention to detail, and my tooth is now worse than before the visit. I would not return or recommend this practice.

My dentist retired so i'm having to look for a new one…read more I had a implant put in and it failed due to a massive infection. So now instead of a implant i have to have a bridge done. I went in to get a teeth cleaning as that was priority one since it had been 3 years prior.This way a new dentist could see everything more clear. The cleaning went great and the dentist seemed to be a good fit with her information she gave me that i had already been given from previous dentist. I had to set up another appointment to look at the rest of my issues because she didn't have enough time that day. so i got my price for the bridge 7600 which i have no problem with except one small part which i planed to ask her about and resceduled to today to plan the rest. Now a crown includes impression to make it.Grind the tooth down. Make a temp crown.Remove temp and guma, cement, place new crown.basically all labor and installation materials.and the new crown itself.1000 to 1400 is fair prices.they came in at 1200 so price is fine. So i went in today to do the 2nd part and get a scedule for the teeth that needed to be fixxed asap so as not to lose them. Everything went fine and i agreed with the plan. Where things went bad is when i tested her character by asking that simple question. IF A CROWN INCLUDES ALL LABOR, MATERIAL. THEN WHY WOULD I PAY FULL PRICE FOR THE BRIDGE SECTION THAT REQUIRES NO TOOTH LABOR.WHY PAY 1200 FOR A SECTION THAT DOESN'T HAVE ANY LABOR OR CEMENTS ETC. IF ANYTHING IT SHOULD BE THE SAME PRICE AS A IMPLANT WHICH IS TYPICALLY 700 ABOUT HALF OF A FULL CROWN. Instead of being professional she got mad and lashed out.I said it was very dishonest that you would try to convince me its your suppliers fault as they make the prices.Instead of taking ownership that its YOUR practice and you set labor prices not YOUR supplier. I never raised my voice, i was calm and regular volume. I would never cheat or pass the blame to any of my customers and id expect the same from others to me. she started raising her voice and telling me i can go anywhere else .I don't have to choose her.which of corse i said i agree and will be doing just that,i don't deal with dishonest people. She then said good i'm glad, imagine having to deal with you everyday.She muttered some other curse words under her breath as she walked away. Lol she got so mad over being confronted over something so small in the grand scheme of proly 20k i was ready to spend with her to finish my teeth plan. Instead of just saying sorry and adjusting HER price maybe 500 dollars of a 7600 plan or even just saying that's what i charge and i'm not changing it. id have been ok with it and sceduled.Not taking accountability and trying to blame it on supplier that makes the crowns.
