When I came back, there was no official "one on one" in his office and when I was leaving, I was told I had to pay $200 for an "emergency dental visit" that they charged to repair a temporary solution while they figured out the "permanent solution." Long story short - it's giving scammer vibes and that they are taking advantage of people. I attempted to call the office several several times: in the past, Kasey picked up the phone right away. Now, somehow magically they don't answer bc they're supposedly all of a sudden so busy. When I discussed the issue with Shauna, she said she agreed and would speak with Dr. Vanstrom and call me back. She never called me back - I called her back and keep getting a phone off the hook. Then finally got a hold of Kasey who said Dr. Vanstrom would email me by the end of this week - he didn't and guess what? When I call again they won't answer. I will be disputing these charges but beware! Sketchy dental office. As soon as Dr. Vanstrom realized he couldn't put an implant in my mouth due to my root structure, I was suddenly a nobody.

I hated my smile for years. Never showing my teeth in any photos my whole life. I decided to look into orthodontics as an adult and consulted Dr Moetti. He was not only supportive he worked hard to make sure even after my braces came off that old crowns that were done elsewhere got replaced and I could chew on all sides of my mouth. My whole family goes here. The kids see Dr Davis and they just love her Don't even get me started on Paula she is the best hygienist I've ever had. Just adore her. Front office staff is amazing. I needed an affordable place to receive dental care, and this wasn't it. Their website says "we…read morework with you, we are affordable don't worry, make an appointment" At my first appointment they did a bunch of X-rays. And then the dentist came in and said my teeth were too bad to clean today and that my bite was messed up and I needed Invisalign. I politely explained that I wasn't going to be able to afford Invisalign, and she said "don't worry we can open up a credit line", as if I was just dying to go into debt over dental luxuries I can't afford. They printed out a treatment plan, and scheduled me a cleaning. The office manager person walked me through the bullet points and had me sign it. It was very expensive even after the discount I bought for $99. Hundreds of dollars for the cleaning, and thousands for the cavity fillings. I haven't had a proper cleaning in a couple years and I really wanted to get one done so I sucked it up and scheduled it. I said "let's just do the cleaning for now" and they once again offered me a credit line. On the cleaning day, they did a deep clean and got underneath my gums and I'm glad they did that. It wasn't horrendously painful but I was having discomfort and I could tell the hygienist was getting frustrated by me. I was trying my hardest to sit still and follow instructions and it definitely felt like she had zero patience. Too much liquid filled up my throat and I coughed and she was upset because I might spit on her or something. At the end she requested a 4 month follow up , and I said I probably wouldn't be able to afford another cleaning for a while, and she told me how irresponsible that was. Like obviously I would love more regular dental care. It ended with her reminding me once again they could open up a credit line. It really felt like they were trying to get me to go into debt over the dental care and it seems like they're trying to trick and extract money from low income patients who don't know better. They really were advising me to go thousands of dollars in debt on Invisalign. As for the cavities, a local family dentist office nearby me offered to fill those cavities for around 1/4 the cost Affordable Dental Care Quoted. The dentist is consistently rude, abrupt, and lacking in basic bedside manner. Dental visits should not leave patients feeling uncomfortable or dismissed, yet that has been my family's experience. I was especially disturbed when my child had X-rays taken and the hygienist did not use a lead apron/cape. As a parent, that was extremely concerning and not something I was willing to overlook. The office itself is not particularly welcoming, and the constant turnover of hygienists and dental assistants only adds to the feeling of inconsistency. It is difficult to build trust with a dental team when the faces and staff seem to constantly change. There are also some obvious inconsistencies in the office's expectations. Guests are required to wear shoe covers in the treatment rooms, while the staff themselves do not all wear them. If patients and visitors are going to be held to a particular standard, the staff should be held to that same standard. The one bright spot is Cheryl at the front desk. She is consistently cordial, informative, professional, and helpful. She is the only reason I stayed as long as I did. Had Cheryl not been there, I would have left this office much sooner. Unfortunately, good customer service from one receptionist cannot make up for poor communication, an unwelcoming environment, staff turnover, and concerns about how patients--especially children--are treated. When I got there, they said we're not doing that today. We're just doing a consultation! A consultation for any questions you may have. Just a consultation just for your questions. Got it. but on the way out, she said, "no this was an exam!" and it wasn't just my questions. He put tools in my mouth and poked around. That does not sound like a consultation to me. That is an exam. I I kind of felt assaulted. Over and above all that... the doctor asked if I had depression because I started to get a little upset. I said yes. he said, "is it diagnosed". I said, "yes, I have bipolar and I have severe degenerative disc disease and he was asking about my depression and anxiety, if the cannabis helps and if that's why I'm taking it, for the anxiety. he had questions about why I'm taking my legally prescribed cannabis. Then he said that they could not sedate me that I would have to go somewhere else. That's fine. But he said that he would not be able to manage me and I need the sedation so I need to go somewhere else!. I said, "what do you mean you can't MANAGE ME?!" he said, "yes I would not be able to manage you and your mental problems!!" can you believe that shit?! I'm about to call the Americans with Disabilities Association!! In the beginning, he wouldn't even let me ask questions. He kept acting like I should just be quiet and let him talk. Also, it's none of your damn business why I am legally prescribed cannabis! ‍ now he's going to make me feel ashamed and trigger my depression. In 2022, I had a procedure done at Georgia Periodontist in Decatur, and my insurance (Delta Dental) was supposed to cover 100% of the cost except for anesthesia, which I paid upfront, $500 out of pocket. However, the office submitted the insurance claim incorrectly, which caused it to be denied. When I called Delta Dental, they clearly explained that the claim just needed to be resubmitted properly. I've told this office that same thing REPEATEDLY multiple times over the years and they still haven't corrected or resubmitted the claim. Instead, they've sent my account to two different collection agencies for a charge that should've been paid by insurance! I've done everything I can to resolve this directly and professionally, but I'm now being harassed by collectors for something that isn't even my responsibility. I've made it very clear that if this ends up on my credit report or the calls continue, I'll have no choice but to take legal action. All I'm asking is for this office to do the right thing: resubmit the claim to Delta Dental and close out this matter. Communication and accountability should matter, especially in healthcare.

They obviously don't care about patients and don't know good customer service, and Alex, dental assistant has the worst ill manners. I took my parents to this office due to referral from my general dentist. The first consult, parents got oral X-ray. My dad kept saying the bite-wings hurt him. He said that the plastic cover for X-ray device has sharp corner cut his gum, hence, it hurt him. I told Alex a couple of time that my dad said it was painful. She immediately asked me " do you do X-Ray?" . It doesn't matter who I am and if I do X-Ray or not, you are hurting my dad and he is complaining about it. My mom had the same complaint when X-Ray was done because the plastic cover was so sharp. Today, after the oral surgery, she tried to put the gauze that she placed on a dirty table to my dad's gum. I told her that , then she said " let me do my job. You put the gauze on the table" . I caught her using the dirty gauze but she said it was me and upset . The front desk are rude and unas hell. They will put you on hold then hang up. You will call back and go to voicemails. The office manager needs to do better job on hiring good staffs and then know how to train their employees well. I definitely will tell my general dentist not to refer any patients to this place. And I don't want to come back to this place.
