This is a review for haircut and hair color by Andrea at Studio Hair. I came here needing a fresh look other than my outgrown ombre that I'd had done at D-Rock salon. I didn't really know what I wanted, but Andrea was very patient, friendly, and professional--gently stearing me in the direction my hair needed to go. Also the front desk person/owner was very friendly, attentive and professional. This place is a hidden gem and they are able to fit you in same-day! Highly recommend Andrea especially. Two of my children have gone here and had excellent experience. I thought I would try it after my hair cut was a mess at a different studio. I made a last-minute appointment before going out of town and Esther was able to squeeze me in. My haircut which I thought would've taken 20 minutes took an hour because she really took her time and fix what was wrong as well as cut off a lot of damage to hear. I'm very very pleased with my haircut and won't go to anyone else besides Esther. Thank you for being excellent. I highly recommend the studio and Esther. read more

I changed to Studio Hair to follow my stylist, Regina (she left her previous salon). First, a word about Regina. She's phenomenal with color, and has always done an excellent job with my myriad of cut requests over the years. I've seen her cut men's hair, as well, and they look sharp when she's done. As for Studio Hair, I've been satisfied with my interactions with the staff and receptionist. The receptionist is informed, courteous, and professional. The salon space is open and clean, and there are plenty of seats, magazines, and snacks/refreshments while I'm waiting for my color to process. The location is super convenient and there were plenty of parking spaces in front of the salon. I highly recommend Regina and I'm happy to have followed her to Studio Hair. read more

A wash, simple cut and blow dry was $60, too expensive imho. It looked great, the stylists are capable. Studio Hair uses Kerastase products. I must be allergic to the shampoo/conditioner used. At the time of the shampoo and even a day later my scalp still itches, and I had to put my hair up so it would not touch my face - the slight residue after rinsing still made my face itch and burn. Went here recently for a haircut and got an AMAZING one from Esther! I had an idea of what I wanted and she understood exactly what I was looking for, and did a fantastic job. Really appreciated her attention to detail and all the little things she did to make this cut look awesome. I have to be honest and give this salon a one star. When my previous stylist was not there, I had to have my hair cut by another hairstylist. I don't recall her name. But the whole hair cut only used 15 minutes for cutting my hair to short. It costed 55+15. This should be fine if the hair cut was ok. But it was not ok. I asked her to not cut layers on my two sides of the hair, so she just shortened the two sides. However, even I know that you are supposed to layer the inner part of the hair, so the hair would stay well, not messy. This is a default routine. So whenever we blow dry or not, the short hair would stay well. However, since she only simply cut straightly my hair, I have to use iron every day when I comb my hair. Plus, the edge of the two sides of my hair are not even. I have to tell my experience to you, whoever want to know about this salon and the hairstylists skills. She is purely not professional. She talked a lot when she cut my hair, and it turns out a mess. Maybe that's why she did not give me her card when I left. And when she finished my hair, she just simply said that it's time to check out, in an uncomfortable way. I was really disappointed to her, though the tip was 15 for politeness. I don't know her name. So I just tell whatever I remember and be real. I would not reach these hairstylists anymore in this salon. It's purely a risk. I would rather cut my hair myself, cus I can do a better job comparing with this time. And I did, thanks for that! The review of this salon were pretty good, which sounds not like it was. My sisters came to this hair salon yesterday. ( With ombré color ) . The roots grew a lot so when want to color them. After 4 hours, her hair totally different. No ombré. And the color was not even. She told them and they was argued with her that my sis didn't show them the picture of the hair she wants. If your guys was not sure about what you doing, you had to ask the customer, or even show the customer some samples and ask them that what she wants. And even if you couldn't make ombré color you should make the old color and new color match. They let my sis went home with uneven color on her hair and still chargered even though she was not happy. I am not a hair technician but I still see she hairs is not even color and this is the worst hair she ever has in her life . read more

I set up an appointment with Hannah. When I called, and came in, from the receptionist , to Hannah , to the lady who was shampooing I can honestly say they have excellent customer service. I was offered a drink several times, Hannah was very talkative, the atmosphere in all was comfortable. Cleanliness was also good! Now, as far as my hair goes, at the time I was so in love with how it turned out. The color is definitely quality and Hannah was certainly patient with my thick hair and did a very good job on educating me on tips for my hair. However, in some part it is my fault for not being definitive on what color style I wanted exactly and although I do love the color and the way it looks on me, she didn't quite get what I was asking for. I wanted a bit lighter and some subtle highlights. I may have thrown her off when I said subtle, but I didn't mean all of it to be soooo subtle. So of course for this, I wasn't going to get mad because it did turn out nicely, but I do wish she would've explained what she was doing before she did it. Again, in part I do have fault because I didn't ask I just kind of trusted Automatically that she got my vision of how I wanted it. Now because I had an image in my head of my hair looking a shade lighter and with sun kissed type highlights the price she gave me ($185) was completely fine with me. But then after I saw she kind of just made it all one color I wasn't too happy about spending $225(inclu. taxes+tip)for one solid color. Other than that, I would try them again only this time come back with a clear expectation on what I want it to look like then I'm sure I will absolutely love it. read more

This is a review for Farideh's eyelash extension services-- not the regular hair services that they provide. I bought a Groupon for a classic set of eyelash extensions, and I looked up this place but saw no reviews for eyelash extensions itself, so I figured now that I actually tried it out myself, I should write a review for anyone else who may be searching for the same thing. At first, I was a bit hesitant to take a risk. However, I called to try and get more information on the lash tech and the receptionist gave me the lash tech's Instagram page. I looked through it and saw that her work looked good. Also, the price of the Groupon was pretty unbeatable. I've gotten lash extensions before-- both volume, and classic, so I have a pretty good idea of what they look like on my eyes and how it should feel, etc. When I saw the final result, I was a bit shocked. It was so extremely natural, and I could see a lot of lashes missing an extension! The last time I got classic extensions at a different place, they still placed an extension on every one of my lashes. Obviously it's not going to be as dense as volume, because classic doesn't use multiple extensions per lash like volume. I know that. But she missed so many of my lashes completely. I asked her if she could place a few more at the ends because I could see my natural lashes at the end. She did them on one eye, but said my other eye had lashes that were too short to do them. I know my eyes and I saw the lashes, and they were the exact same length on both sides. Additionally, she forgot to bring a fan to dry my lashes at the end which is a pretty crucial part of the extension process. She also did my lashes on a reclining chair, I've always been laid down on a bed, so this was pretty uncomfortable but I just dealt with it. Finally, she got lash glue in my hair and I realized at the end when I was trying to run my fingers through my hair. Yes, these are the cheapest extensions I've gotten, so I did my best to be understanding, but the more I think about it the more upset I get with my service. It's been exactly 7 days and most of my extensions have began to fall out. I know how to properly care for them and my other extensions have lasted me close to 4 weeks read more

Worst in everything. Tried facial before and the lady didnt know what she is doing. They had a nice lady for eyebrows she left and now all the staff who does facial or eyebrows are awful. Last time the lady couldnt even do my eyebrows and I asked her to stop before she hurts me more. Will never recommended or go there again. read more

I was always nervous about going to salons as I have always had family that I trusted with my hair but as soon I walked into the salon for my first time everyone treated me as if I had been there all my life. They treated me as if I was family. Hannah was the lady that took care of me. Every time I come in she treats my hair as her canvas for her next masterpiece. I haven't gotten my hair colored since over eight years due to a traumatic experience. I was definitely nervous and hesitant about dying my hair again but Hannah reassured my feelings by telling me what she was going to do and not to worry. Throughout the four+ hour process, she asked if I was comfortable, kept conversations going, and told me what she was doing after each step of my balayage ombré. The lady who washed my hair was also very gentle with my hair and ears (I have cartilage piercings and some people don't care about them and end up pulling them out on accident). She even gave me a quick head massage at the end! Although my hair was bleached to get the lightest color, my hair was not damaged from it at all. My stylist even told me that my hair was still really healthy after the process. Even though it was a bit pricey, I think it was worth every buck. Regina has been my go-to hair stylist for the past 5 years. She's recently moved to this salon, and she improves the quality of any salon she works at. Not only has Regina cut/colored my hair regularly, but she has also styled my hair for all of my recent wedding related events (bridal shower, reception, etc.). I met Lauren and starting going to Studio Hair about a year ago. I cannot tell you have pleased I am with Lauren's cuts and color and the overall service of the salon. First. the salon is family owned, which gives it a very welcoming feel. The front desk is always attended to and the ladies are always helpful and polite. The floors are kept very clean and you always see employees sweeping to ensure it stays clean. Now on to the real reason I go the salon... Lauren Meisel. WOW! First, I want to say that Irene is the sweetest, most personable hair stylist, and I really enjoyed our conversations during my color/styling appointment. She is the nicest person. I can't speak enough about the fantastic customer service at this salon. That's why I hate that I have to leave a bad review. I am pretty heartbroken about how my hair turned out. I did not get the color I wanted, despite two appointments (one was corrective, but it still didn't turn out great). I'm a single mom on a budget, so I'm out a couple hundred bucks and have no money left to get what I wanted, so I'm stuck with boring color until I can save up funds again for another salon. I came in with jet black hair that I've been dyeing myself. Black is close to my natural hair color. I wanted bayalage with black hair at the top and a brilliant red or purple at the bottom. I don't like natural, I don't like boring. I even had a consultation first with Irene to determine if it was a possibility to even DO the bayalage without causing too much damage. I brought in several pictures. I was clear with what I wanted, and explained that my biggest fear is to pay a lot of money for "blah." I told Irene I don't like brown hair. I don't want brown hair. NO BROWN HAIR. From the beginning, she warned me off bright reds and purples, which was off-putting, but I guess I can understand that they wash out fast and don't stay vibrant. She suggested a reddish brown, which I declined. She then suggested a color a little more bright, but it was still more of an auburn/burgundy. I didn't understand because I showed her pictures, but I trusted her judgment. She assured me she could achieve the effects in the photos I showed her. During the process, she seemed surprised when I showed her former pictures of me with blonde hair, stoplight red hair...that should've been a warning signal to me that she was under the (false) impression I am much more conservative than I really am. She made a comment that my boyfriend would probably appreciate a more natural look. No. No he wouldn't. And didn't. He likes vibrant and wild like I do. When she put the lightener on my ends, she was surprised that my hair came out red underneath the black rather than gold. But no matter, she assured me it would be brilliant and red and fun. What I ended up with after that first session was brown hair on the top, and reddish brown on the bottom. I was disappointed, thought I conveyed that, but went home to try to see if I could live with it. I couldn't. I was upset. Everyone I work with noted that it was a dull color on me. That it was "pretty but not vibrant." Most of the comments started with a disapproving "oh." Because they'd all heard me talk excitedly about this appointment and what I wanted. So I scheduled a corrective appointment a week later. Irene added black to the top of my hair, which was fine even though I still had to ask her to make it even darker than she wanted, and then said she would brighten the ends of my hair to make it a more brilliant red. It still didn't come out that way. It's now black on top and brown on the bottom. She said she would have to bleach the bottoms of my hair further to make it the bright red I wanted and it would cause more damage. I wish I was told that from the beginning, I wouldn't have spent the money or made the appointment, and just stuck with my black hair. I said it was fine and left. My boyfriend said he thought I'd just dyed my own hair again to fix it. I'm really sad. I'm out so much money and I have hair I dislike. Even after the second round of coloring, which just looks like I have brassy, brown hair growing out. So bummed. read more

I came to this salon for the first time to have ballayage done to my hair. I have had it done correctly before in Seattle so I am very familiar with the typical results. I have long, very healthy hair that is color treated but I take excellent care of it so I can keep it long. I wanted ballayage because the technique is supposed to look more piecey and similar to hombre but with some of the color reaching up to the roots while still leaving a lot of your natural tones for lasting grow-out. I came with pictures of what I did AND didn't want because I really didn't want an all-over monochromatic look. I am so very upset with the way my hair actually turned out... My stylist foiled my entire head using bleach and then painted bleach on the remainder of the exposed hair... almost everything reaching my roots with the exception of a few of the peices that were randomly left out. When she shampooed me she didn't tone my hair so it looked like I had just poured bleach on my hair- bright yellow all over. She began to do my trim and brushed my wet hair over and over after it had just been severely damaged. I had her stop and put some darker peices throughout my hair to give it some dimension. Then, she did a treatment on my hair to offset some of the damage. Not a single part of my hair had been left uncolored. It turned out so bad that I cannot wear my hair up or half up. I have to part it in a very specific place and don't even like to run my fingers through it for fear that one of the chunks she missed/colored over to deepen will peak through. To top it off, they gave me the treatment for free but I still paid $200... saving myself only tip I couldn't bring myself to leave. The woman who did my hair was very nice and very apologetic. She offered to have me come back to correct more but I cannot imagine entrusting my hair to her again. I will have to deal with this for weeks while I nurse my hair back to health so I can pay $200 more to get it fixed. DO NOT GO HERE for ballayage!! read more

New beginning new me! On a spontaneous act of starting new and wanting a new do I called studio hair to make an appointment for a new look. Irene had an opening for color and cut and she was great! It had been over 10 years since I had a bad experience with color and boy was I nervous. Irene took time to ask me what I was looking for ( which to be honest I had no idea I just knew I wanted something different) she made her recommendations and even suggested a look that would go with the fall season. I told her I would trust her and boy was I happy! When it came to cutting my hair I told her how I have yet to find a permanent stylist because for some reason you tell them a two inch trim and you end up with four to five inches off. She was very understanding and is the first person to give me what I asked for when it came to a cut without chopping it all off. My daughter had a wonderful haircut and experience and has been talking about how she wants to come back to the salon. I followed Gretchen and Lauren when they moved to Studio Hair and have been a loyal customer - there is no reason to go anywhere else. Lauren was my go-to stylist when I had my hair colored regularly and I was always impressed with her technique and suggestions. Somehow I transitioned over to Gretchen when I stopped having my hair colored and she has been cutting my hair ever since. Both have seen me through significant hair changes and I've always felt like I was in the best hands. Recently I let go of my long locks and Gretchen really came through on blending two different styles that I was considering - no idea how she did that.
