Mint Indian Cuisine is located in the Boone Heights Shopping Center, off of 321, so there is plenty of free parking. Mint doesn't take reservations, so it is walk-in except for large parties. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has a spacious dining room and a bar section. It is a good-sized restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] From other reviews, I knew this was a popular place, so I made sure to arrive shortly after dinner service began to get a table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I arrived, I was seated in a cushioned booth in the corner diagonally from the entrance. I think they gave me the best table in the restaurant, as it was tucked away and quiet, and I got a full view of the dining area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was almost as if they knew this was my celebration for visiting all 100 counties in North Carolina. Service was friendly as well; there were many staff members walking around to see if anyone needed anything. They all seemed to work together. I went with the shrimp korma and ordered some garlic naan. I ordered the mango lassi for my beverage, too. The food came out fairly quickly, and I loved every bite. The portion was large, and they offered me a to-go box, likely at the point most people stop eating. But I knew I couldn't take it to go, so ate as much of it as I could there. Ordered via Uber Eats and I am NOT disappointed! The food is absolutely delicious and it's very authentic! Portions are huge and very flavourful at a great price. Lost count of the number of people who said Mint is their favorite restaurant in Boone haha! Everything I got was delicious. The palak (spinach) paneer was flavorful & creamy, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the naan was super fluffy; the lunch combo also comes with a salad, which was pretty standard. Also got to try a little bit of other's okra curry and the tandoori trio, both of which were tasty. When passing through Boone on our anniversary, we made a last-minute decision to try out Mint. Let me preface this review by saying that my wife and I seek out all types of Indian food wherever we range in our travels. Street style is as welcome as white tablecloth, just really love examples of both Southern and Northern Indian cuisine. We kind of blew it out since this was a special occasion, with a couple of appetizers a couple of entrees, a bottle of wine and dessert (which was gifted to us by the proprietor) [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was exemplary, ambiance was chic and modern, food was so good I made the rare mistake of eating a bit too much, and a good time was had by all![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Whatever aspect of the food business you happen to be in, please visit Mint as you pass through Boone, and take lots of notes. Mint is great! After a disappointing Christmas lunch at Chetola's Timberlake restaurant we were hungry for dinner; one of the only places open was Mint. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Although it was packed we were able to grab seats at the bar and had a great meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff were wonderful and the manager, who was wearing several hats in the rush, was really friendly and interested in making sure we had a good time and good meal. This place was was incredible! I had it delivered one night for dinner. The flavors were so unique. I have never had Gobi Manchuri this good. The fried exterior and slightly sweet sauce reminded me of sesame chicken. The yellow lentil soup was hearty and unique. I never think to get soup when I do Indian food, but I trusted the Yelp reviews and the Mulligatwany soup did not disappoint. The cucumber salad was the weakest of the items I got, but it was nice to have something light and crunchy to balance the other textures and flavors of the meal. And at $5 for a sizable portion, I would get it again. The garlic naan bread was also very good. Nice and fluffy, slightly chewy, and just enough garlic. I personally thought the $4 price tag was high for the small portion. If the takeout amount is the same as they give at the restaurant, I would not recommend one serving per person. read more

We have been to Mint many times when passing through Boone or overnighting there. We stopped today for lunch. As always, we were greeted promptly and seated. Service is impeccable. I ordered a cup of chai and it was probably the best I have ever had. The samosa appetizers are delicious, as are the accompanying chutneys. I had chicken korma and hubby had tadka dal. Like a number of other Yelpers we were surprised to find an Indian restaurant in Boone (too many cultural assumptions on our part). We were even more surprised at just how darned good it was. In fact, during a multi-day visit to Boone, we ate here twice and thought it was far and away the best meals are had. The food was terrific, and the service really attentive in the best way of Indian restaurants. We can't say enough good things about Mint. For starters, though we are not experts, this food tased quite authentic. Everything was cooked fresh, seasoned exactly as we requested and served up quickly but never hastily. Start with the pappadam with fabulous onion chutney and the yogurt, crunchy and delicious, add tasty Mulligatawny soup and head for those main dishes: spicy, perfectly prepared chicken curry, chicken vindaloo and goat. Wow, two nights of gustatory joy! The atmosphere is very pleasant inside, seating spacious ... everything felt just right. The most disgusting food I ever had in my life Is in this restaurant. They don't even know how the food taste really should be coz I don't think any of the worker ever ate those dish from any other restaurant. The dal makhani literally was mix of all typ of leftover dal dishes together boil with some water and they served me 2. Paneer tikka masala was some korma sauce with heavy cream and some raw panner warmed up all together. And they served me like that ( well they dont even know the spalling of tikka in bill they wrote it as paneer tika! ) 3. i ordered a paratha and a garlic naan but they served me a oil brushed naan which was half cooked and a half cooked garlic naan I got this food around 9:50 pm and the time I found out how disgusting the food are!
