I recently visited this vintage shop for the first time and purchased several items. When I got home and tried everything on, I realized one pair of shorts still had the security tag attached. The shorts also didn't fit, so I drove back to the store hoping to exchange them for a different size. I completely understand that stores have policies, and I respect the no-exchange policy. However, I paid in cash and wasn't informed of that policy at checkout, which made the situation a little confusing. What disappointed me most was the way the situation was handled. Instead of trying to help or understand the issue, the employee I spoke with seemed to assume I wasn't being truthful about where or when I purchased the item. I was told that I may have bought it at another location, even though this was my first time ever visiting the store and I had purchased multiple items that day. The shorts still had the original tag and security device attached, showing they had never been worn. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable--just hoping to exchange them for a size that fit after having to make an extra trip because the security tag had been left on. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What left a negative impression was feeling talked down to rather than treated like a valued customer. A little understanding and customer service would have gone a long way. read more

I stumbled upon this store during The All About Downtown Street Fair in Jersey City. This store is super cute but it is pretty pricey. I spent $60 on a Nicole Concho Link Belt and $138.60 on a Hidden Jeans Devon Classic Denim Trench Coat - Dark Wash. I did end up doing a price comparison to see if these items were available elsewhere to determine if they were overpriced. I did find the same exact belt on two different online stores and they were both priced at $60. As for the Denim Trench Coat the price was originally $154 but it was 10% off for the coat which made the coat $138.60. I found the same exact coat on Nordstrom for $135 so the price is comparable after the discount but without discount it would have been $154. Overall the service was good. The woman cashier who was working that day was super friendly and allowed me to try on things I wanted to purchase. They do have two fitting rooms available for easy try ons. The store is on the smaller size so it can get cramped if there's a lot of people in the store. Overall, if you are in the downtown area of Jersey City, I would say this shop is worth checking out. But be advised you will need your $$$. read more

Stopped at Mint Market for the first time with my daughter she's love this store and we were having a family day. The clothes selection are great and beautiful! One thing I had to comment and told my daughter after that they environment was unwelcoming we entered the store and they was not even a hello or a welcome and while she was browsing . No one attended us it's like we were not even there. My daughter didn't mind that we were not being helped but she did agree that it feel a bit awkward . I stopped by here on a whim. Found a vintage 80s inspired sunglasses, which I was very excited to find. We saw a lot of vintage items in the store and I asked if they had an online store (yes! They do.) however, the cashier froze while we were there. Hopefully they're able to get new cashiers or a new system going! Love this gem of a store. read more

This store has been my favorite clothing/ accessories place for years! Whenever my sister comes in town from LA we make time to come here. Every visit I find such unique stuff. The vintage selection is incredible and I never leave the store without buying something I have fallen in love with! They also have a lot of new contemporary clothing that's great too. Love shopping small but not a great experience when you drop $150 and was on vacation. I came to return a dress that ended up being too short on me on the 15th day. No understanding, just a "sorry babe". I'm in the industry and I know the brands being sold and the ridiculous markup they take. Better off shopping at a bigger chain store for flexible returns. Bought a super cute piece pink suit for my trip to Paris. I knew it wasn't worth 100 but I thought it was cute so I paid for it. Now for my experience inside the stores and..... I have never felt discriminated against inside a store until shopping at mint. When I came in I wasn't greeted. I Then watched as the girl working there (chubby with black long hair) greet every single customer that walked in after me. I had to show my self to the dressing room(which is okay I guess). While in the dressing room I heard her making conversation with different customers as a checked out. When I was done in the dressing room she looked angry and Clearly went to check the dressing room to make sure that nothing was stolen before helping me with check out. During checkout she still looked Bothered like she was upset that I was buying clothing. And of course there was none of the small talk when it came to me. I didn't really care at the time because I just wanted to suit. I'm leaving this review so that this doesn't happen to anyone else. I live next door to the place and unfortunately will never step foot inside again. read more

The reviews for this business are fake , I witnessed how one of the girls that work there was leaving a fake review of the store with a friend of her there. Terrible customer service the clothes are cheap and terrible quality and they charged $$ for that. Same dress I tried in the store and was able to find online was $35 and they were selling it for $79. The girls that work there can't care less about the customer specially if you are a minority. Their return policy is a joke. They don't accept returns bc they know how cheap and shady they are. you are gonna regret to buy any of that crap you get there like I did. read more

I bought a full pant length romper on 5/18 for a baptism that was on 6/2. In the store they told me I could steam the bottom of the legs since they were very wrinkled, which I did the morning of the baptism only the find out how cheap the material actually was. The orange color of the fabric bled into the white pattern leaving a color mark all the way around one of the legs. I went back into the store the next day and told the girl what happened and she said the return window of two weeks was up and there was nothing she could do for me. I told her that was ridiculous because I never wore it and now wasted $74 on something I won't ever be able to wear. She asked me to message their Instagram account and come back the next day when the owner would be in. I messaged them on Instagram, no answer. Went into the store to explain what happened again and was told they couldn't do anything for me other than offer me a discount on my next purchase. They already took my money, why would I waste more on cheap material?! No thank you. The woman at the counter insinuated that I was lying about wearing the romper and said she wouldn't take it back damaged. To which I responded that I took the tags off the day I steamed it and would have never steamed it in the first place if the staff didn't tell me I could. She said they steam all of their clothes and none of that piece ever came back like that which was a blatant lie considering the woman who sold it to me said there were only a few of that piece purchased and given the state of the wrinkles in the pants, I have a hard time believing it was ever ironed or steamed during its lifetime in that store. Although I do admit I should have questioned her judgement since the cashier checked me out right after getting stoned in the back room, leaving the back of the store and dressing room reeking. In short; really check the quality of their clothes before you buy because they have terrible customer service so you may just end up wasting your money. I, personally, will never shop there again. read more
