Not sure where to begin, this place was overwhelmingly amazing!! So....much.....figures!! I love it. And the prices arent at all bad! Very kid friendly. They have gachopan i think thats what its called. You exchange money for coins and get little trinkets. Also if you manage to drop your coin and it rolls into the abyss the owner john will happily replace it. Great guy btw my Pokemon journey started here with my first pack of 151. Very genuine kind guy. Likes to here crazy Pokemon pull stories. Takes the time to explain how the shop works. They also have labubu, sony angels, gundam, dragon ballz. The ArToy is amazing! The owner is here every day and welcomes us with a smile every time we visit. This gachapon store is thoughtfully curated and has a wide selection. Even the coins for this shop are customized. They rotate the gachapon selection almost every two weeks, so every time you visit there's something different. This gachapon store also has crane games available, so if you're missing Japan, you can get your dopamine fix and get a win here. Further, they sell Sonny Angels at a fair price. What a cool little spot! The kids had the day off school and we were looking for something fun to do so we came to ArToy. This is basically a slightly more sophisticated version of those machines that used to be in front of grocery stores that you would beg your Mom for a quarter so you could get a sticky slap hand to annoy your sibling with. You purchase tokens and put them into the machine that spits out a toy in a brightly colored egg. There are all varieties of toys and trinkets. They also have some claw machines. My two kiddos got a few unicorn keychains, a small light, some plush dinosaurs and Pokemon, some princesses and plastic bugs. I think we were there for around 20-30 minutes total and we spent $30-$35 on tokens. The guy working in the shop was so helpful and friendly and so excited for my kids when they won the claw game. One of the games you can play for free and get a small snack (pretzels and gummies were inside when we went). They also have collectibles and artwork for sale. Some cool and interesting stuff on the top shelves of the store. The only reason it's not a 5 star review is because I found it a little pricey. We really enjoyed our experience, but for how quickly my kids went through the tokens, it would be hard to justify going back frequently....but it's a fun, "special occasion" stop for good grades or a good visit to the dentist. One of the many things I miss from our recent Japan trip are the gachapon stores full of capsule machines that contain various cute gifts and toys. I was thrilled to hear that The ArToy opened up near my house. This is the perfect place to bring your family and friends. Very kid-friendly atmosphere. The shop is located amongst other shops and restaurants, so parking is plentiful. The shop windows are lined with fun wall decals of familiar characters. Besides gacha machines, there are blind boxes, artwork, and figurines on sale which I found to be unique, some of which I've never seen before. The process of gachapon is simple -- there is a machine on the side that exchanges dollars for tokens ($1 equals 1 token). Each of the machines has an amount of tokens required. Insert your tokens in the machine, turn the knob and your prize pops out at the bottom! They're a ton of fun and I love that the each individual machine's prizes are thoughtfully curated. You'll find prizes related to familiar shows, characters, and creatures. You're bound to find something you'll like! Once you're finished, there are little photo booths near the register that you can pose your prizes on. Each photo booth even has a light at the top with different settings so you can light up your display for the perfect photo. The staff are super nice and said that the machines will be restocked in a few weeks. I'm looking forward to seeing what prizes come next! read more

I really like the variety of gacha here. They have a good amount of miscellaneous gacha that isn't branded merch. Usually gacha places would have an over abundance of the same Sanrio, popular anime selection. They would overlook the random series that's the charm of playing gacha in Japan. I found a good variety of everything here from the rarer Mofusand and Sumikko Gurashi to more rare one like praying animal, no remorse shiba, sweater cats etc. the pricing is also quite fair for imported goods. $3 for more random series and $5-6 for highly sought after ones like Mofusand. They also have "opened" gacha and blind box for purchase at higher price in case you're hunting for a specific toy. I do think their blind boxes are priced kind of high but I understand it is imported goods. The blind boxes, Sonny Angels are about $20-ish each. I had issue with the token machine not accepting my cash and the staff came over immediately to offer help. Overall it's a good place to walk around and spend some money for fun. read more

Went to checkout the store while visiting Anaheim. Unfortunately, they sold us a fake Skullpanda L'imoressionnisme. It looked pretty real until we got one from the actual Popmart store. The fake one had a shiny exterior box, the stitching was poorly made, and the doll's head was bigger. The real one had a muted color, textured exterior box, the stitching is well put together, and the doll's face is neatly detailed. The store looks cool but be wary, DON'T GET SCAMMED like we did.
