Had an appointment here with gynecologist Johnny Pham. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until he asked me if I would like to get my test results done with Quest Diagnostics. Before saying "yes", I asked him how much it would cost me. Doctor replied that the test would be around $150. A few weeks later I received a bill for $891. It was impossible to reach the doctor directly and took forever to be able to talk to somebody from MinuteClinic on the phone. Eventually, I reached a customer service representative who promised to deal with the matter. A few more weeks went by and absolutely nothing changed. Having no insurance, I was forced to pay the whole bill. Please, don't waste your time and money and book an appointment somewhere else. read more

I went to MinuteClinic inside CVS @ 775. E. Foothill Blvd. in Pomona for Covid testing and was attended to by technician Do Young Park. From the very start Do was very professional asking me all my symptoms which were only runny nose and sore throat and I just wanted to make sure it wasn't Covid. Luckily, results turned negative. I thought I'd only have a nose swab just like before, but Do kindly took my vitals such as BP, eye, ear and tongue examinations, had stethoscope my chest and back, all the time very professional, I seldom experience such good and kind attention from medical professionals, so I thought giving an exceptional review is the least I can do. read more

I wanted to schedule a test required for school here and I came in person to schedule it. The hours online said it was open from 9-5:30. I couldnt find the test available at any date/time at this location so i came in person. They told me the first time that their system was down and that I needed to come in when they open and try to schedule an appointment. I came in the next day to find out that they are closed. Nothing online indicated that they were closed. I asked the pharmacy about it and they said there was a sign. Yes, there was a sign. But it was facing away from everything in the open area. Minute Clinic billed us for a referral service we did not request, were not informed of the cost, and were unaware that had happened. Highly recommend, especially bc physicians offices NEVER have appointments available when you need them but minute clinic is such a great alternative and the NPs are so nice & professional. As long as you make an appointment, the wait isn't THAT long. Checking in is done by answering a series of questions on their touch screen. I normally use MiniteClinic to get my annual flu shot, but they offer other services, too. You go into this tiny room/office space and the nurse asks for your insurance card to input into their database before administering the vaccine. It normally takes less than 10 minutes once being called inside. Usually, after your visit you get a coupon to shop in CVS, but not always. read more

Tina helped me to remove the medical staples. I was going to remove by myself and ordered the removal kit online. I am glad I came instead doing myself. Tina was very professional and was able to set a immediate appointment for me to squeeze in the schedule in between. However, I do suggest to book an appointment ahead of time. Came here for what I thought was simple. I'd had ear pain, had concern I had an ear infection. Was looked at by a nurse practitioner who diagnosed me as having a middle ear infection and prescribed me antibiotics. Three days later, after being on antibiotics, I was worse, in so much pain I almost went to the ER. Found an urgent care where I was seen by a board certified doctor and he rolled his eyes and asked what idiot diagnosed me. Turns out it was an outer ear infection, and the oral antibiotics won't help with that. He prescribed me drops instead. Not even a day later and I feel relief. Apparently he was pretty appalled that someone could misdiagnose middle vs. outer ear infection. I'm no doctor, but neither is the NP at MinuteClinic. Thanks to the wrong diagnosis I felt like crap for three extra days, went on pills I didn't need, and spent more money. Won't be back. read more

If you can't make an appt. online, don't bother coming in. When you arrive for a walk-in they will ask you to use a kiosk to make an appointment since they use 30 min time slots. They are not an 'urgent care' so keep that in mind. They also seem very busy and if they have time they may try help you, but the fact that they advertise "walk-in welcome" is very misleading for people that need quick care. Make and appt first or waste your time. I can't comment on the quality of healthcare but other comments can testify to that. read more

Terrible experience. My wife is suffering from the flu and wanted to get examined. I made an appointment at 7:50 p.m. the night before for the earliest morning time that was available. Got email confirmation of the appointment. After checking in at the kiosk and waiting for 30 minutes she was called in by name, only to be told that because of a "glitch" in their system she didn't have an appointment after all and they were kicking her out. When we pointed out that the appointment was confirmed the NP said that because of the glitch no appointments made after 7 p.m. the night before were valid. This made no sense, and it also was appalling that they couldn't just examine her as long as she was there and did everything they asked in scheduling the appointment. Instead, the NP was argumentative, abusive and disrespectful. read more

I just had to get a 2 minute reading done of my TB test that was administered a couple days ago. I was a little nervous to take my daughter here since she's only been to pediatrician offices with toys and kid stuff, but we had such a great experience with Alessa. She was so sweet and patient with my daughter, took her time with the exam, and gave great advice that avoided an uncomfortable strep test. Whatever you do, don't leave & expect the text service to notify you with the 30 min heads up message! It totally failed me today, & my name was called and I missed my appt! I went in for a TB test read, I got there right at 2pm, I was the 7th person in line. After an hour of waiting and only one person seen I checked the kiosk it said I had 123 min remaining. So I did some shopping at CVS, and ran home to drop it off watch the football game & wait for my text. I went back at 4 to check the time, only to realize my name was no longer on the kiosk!!! I had my phone next to me the whole time, & not once did I get a notification I was up next! Luckily I asked the woman working the clinic if she could see me after the last two patients, & before closing. Luckily she remembered my name & took me right away when I told her I never got the alert message to return. I was in & out in 5 min. I am very unhappy with the fact they don't take health insurance for TB tests, & that you can't schedule an appt for a return visit to have it looked at. I also think $56 is a rip off for a TB test, & I wish I'd have gone and utilized my doctor or my local urgent care center instead. Won't make the same mistake twice!!! read more

Do not come here the nurse practitioner is a complete idiot. She locked herself out of the clinic when I was there making it take much longer to be seen. She also does not know how to read insurance billing because she charged me for the insurance's portion instead of mine. It says right on the credit card machine that you will be refunded onto the card you paid with if they overcharge you, this is not the case I was seen on 2/3 and I called to complain about being overcharged they say it will be another several weeks for a check. The nurse practitioner that saw me was Poe-Sandi Chang, run if you see her. The symptoms she listed I had did not match what I told her. She basically just giggled and laughed the whole time. I scheduled my appointment for a shingles vaccine earlier in the week (4 days in advance). Was sent texts to come 15 minutes early, check in, etc. I did my part. Two NPs working and only one patient ahead of me. That patient walked out 4 minute before my appointment was supposed to start. That NP went back in to a room with the patient visit in progress sign and made a personal call which I could hear through the door. Other NP -Erin -who had already come out and asked my name was also on the phone but with the door open. 12 minutes past the appointment time I went up and asked when I could have my appointment. She asked if I had checked in - I said yes - and my name was on the display as checked in. She said their appt list was confusing. She then asked why I was there and I told her the shingles vaccine. She informed me there was none available today. I questioned why no one called me and she said it wasn't her responsibility. I asked her name and let her know I would be escalating this issue as well as providing a review. She hesistated, gave her name, and said she doesn't need to be retaliated against since it wasn't her job. She also said I only waited 10 mins - I had to remind her that I came over 15 mins early and that they hadn't cared for a patient for over 15 minutes. She did not offer to help me find a new appointment or location. Rotten service. read more

Extremely poor in so many ways. We've gone here the past few years for camp physicals - not because we like it here, but because it is usually quick and easy. We've had a different nurse practitioner each time, and each one has had a poor bedside manner. We don't care if you don't like the forms that the camps provide, they are what are required and need to be filled out. This last time was the icing on the cake though. So horrendously bad that we will NEVER return! We went, again for a camp physical, and we endured the same run around about the forms. Once the nurse practitioner finally got going she measured my child and said that he was 5'6" tall. Ummm, I don't think so. I'm taller than that, and he's taller than me, I explain. She argues with us. Whatever! She messes up the vision test too. I'll believe the ophthalmologist who said he has 20/20, over what she said. The worst was when she listened to his lungs and then said that she couldn't sign off for camp because he has pneumonia. Lol! Seriously? He's had pneumonia before we know exactly what it looks like, and it isn't a healthy young man who isn't having any difficulty breathing, and doesn't have a fever. She got really pushy about how he definitely has pneumonia and that she'll prescribe medication and give him a flu shot. First, if she actually understood the immune system she would know you don't give someone vaccines if their immune system is fighting something already. Second, he doesn't need medication for something he doesn't have. She became very combative and said that if he didn't start medicating for the pneumonia immediately, he'd be in the hospital within 1-2 days. I told her we'd risk it and we left. I called our primary doctor from the parking lot, told them what happened and they said they had an opening first thing the next morning. The doctor had no problem with the forms, measured him at 6' tall, confirmed that he did fine with the eye chart, finished the rest of the exam and signed the forms. When I asked her about pneumonia, she asked, "What pneumonia?" I told her about the nurse practitioner's adamant diagnosis, and the doctor started laughing. "I don't know what she thought she heard, but his lungs are perfectly clear! Here I'll double check." Which she did, then shook her head, and said, "Pneumonia? Yeah, right. He's perfectly healthy. Have fun at camp!" Be VERY careful about any treatment or diagnosis given here. If I wasn't aware and educated in the medical field, my healthy child would have been given treatment he didn't need, and it could have been dangerous for him. read more

Wait times are ridiculous. Definitely not a swift process. Timing is also off on the kiosk. The first time I came in the kiosk said it would be 168 minute wait. I of course had to wait it out because I needed this TB test started. Luckily there was no one waiting around so I was called in a quick 15 minutes. However my TB test results where they see my arm and see if I had a reaction or not took FOREVER. Even though I had an appointment at 5:10 this time. Appointments are pointless here. TB tests are also not covered through insurance here so you pay 35$ for the injection and 30$ for the results. Overall I wouldn't come back but I needed this TB test to be cleared for an internship so although I didn't enjoy my experience I had to do it. read more

For a clinic designed to see patients without an appointment, I had a wonderful experience here. It fulfilled all my expectations and then some. Sandy is awesome and gave me great medical advice before my big trip. I'm traveling soon and came here because I didn't want to fork up a ton of money at a travel clinic...Travel clinics don't take health insurance, so I did some research (thank you, internet) and was able to make my requests for a few vaccinations here. I went on a Wednesday afternoon at 1:30pm and waited no longer than 5 minutes to get checked-in and attended to. I can imagine it being a different story on the weekends, but such is expected. I got my vaccination and pills and was in and out in less than 45 minutes. read more

If i could give this place zero stars I would. I went here over two weeks ago and was told I have a cold, they gave me a prescription of sudafed. Just let is run its course. Make an appointment online first. I made an appt. the day before for a MMR booster vaccination at 10:40am. There was literally no one there waiting. I got there at 10:35 to sign in at the kiosk. If I was a walk in, the kiosk estimated about an hour wait. I got called in about 2 mins after I was done signing in. I asked the nurse practitioner if they were slow today (b/c no one was out there) and she said they're actually very busy with appointments. So.. make an appt first! I'm not sure if I got called in earlier because it was Mother's Day and no one was waiting at the time. But I was prepared to wait awhile based on the reviews for this minute clinic. Please note that they won't treat you if you don't have a negative COVID test within 24 hours. Unfortunately, I didn't know this until I had already waited to be seen. I have some excess phlegm and post nasal drip that caused me to lose my voice so I wanted to get checked out. I had no fever, no cough, no runny nose or any other COVID symptoms. I told the nurse who checked me about my symptoms but she didn't say that the Nurse practitioner wouldn't be able to see me without a negative COVID test. It wasn't until I finally got in to see the nurse practitioner that she told me she can't see me cause I'm not allowed to remove my mask. Why isn't this information clearly communicated instead of causing me to waste my time to see someone who can't even help me? In the end, she told me to take some zinc, drink lemon and honey tea, and vitamin C. I can't believe I wasted my time and money for info that I could have just googled. read more

She is absolutely the best. I came here for a quick health screening and tb test. The wait wasn't too bad. When you check in (using the computer), they offer to send a text message when your appointment time is near. I found this incredibly helpful as well. Every single time I come to this MinuteClinic, I leave having even better an impression than I had before. My wait has always been very short, and for being able to walk-in as late as 6:30PM on weekdays and having a place that's available to help me immediately even on weekends is just invaluable to me. On top of that, a place that knows how to work with my health insurance and takes credit card makes visits even easier. Most recently, I was helped by a nurse practitioner, Mary Hull, for an eye infection concern. She was extremely professional, very knowledgeable, greeted me when I came at 6:15PM, didn't try to rush my visit, and stayed late while helping me. In the end, the visit was entirely covered by my insurance as well, which would have been completely unheard of if I had gone to my family doctor instead. read more

Nice staff, good seating area. The only down side is that when you log in and sign in to be on the waiting list the wait time is WAY off. I went and it said my wait time was 3 hrs & 16 minutes...I was shocked, but there were 5-6 people ahead of me. Also, they said i would receive a text 30 minutes before seeing me. Well...I live 20 min away, I figured I'll go home and eat then come back once I get the text. As soon as I walk in my house 20 mins later I get a call that I'm next, they asked where am I. Of coarse I tell them it said 3 hrs and 16 min, but they said its my turn now, so I drive back. Also! If you go around 4pm and try to sign in it would say they have too many patients and to Come back another day. So I over heard the staff tell people that the machine doesn't know that there are two exam rooms (2 nurses) so it goes by a lot faster than what the machine says. YEAH, wished knew that. They should put a sign up. But overall, I met 2 of the nurses, both were VERY polite and really helpful. They don't rush you, I was shocked. Great service from them! read more

Worst minuteclinic ever. Had plenty of time to see the doctor by checking in. Said we would be seen at 12:20 PM. We were fine with that, 0 minute wait turned into 5 and then out of nowhere turned to 82 minutes! Spoke to someone and he said the NP was taking her break. How ridiculous. I understand people need to take breaks, but very unprofessional to go from a 0 minute wait to 82 minutes. My mother has high blood pressure and needed to get it checked, she doesn't live in CA and wanted to get checked out, we were afraid she might have a stroke. This place was very unprofessional. After leaving whoever we spoke to referred us to another close by clinic. TURNS OUT THAT CLINIC WAS CLOSED.
