I LOVE Tracy Lee, the Nurse Practitioner!!!! She was great, she listened to my problems and gave me a prescription to deal with the problem. This is the 2nd time I have been to this minute clinic, and I will return. There was no wait, I just walked right in. Tracy Lee was VERY VERY professional. I have been sick for a week and my regular physician was not able to squeeze me in today. So I went to Minute Clinic. I was a "walk in" at 10 am on a Thursday and there was absolutely no wait time. Maybe due to the heavy rain outside. I was brought in a room where my vitals were taken and then waited about 5 minutes back in the waiting room, for the RNP to see me. She was friendly and efficient and prescribed me antibiotics and I was on my way. She even took me the aisle where the over the counter medication was, that she recommended, and pointed it out which one I should purchase to help alleviate my symptoms. I went to this minute clinic, I was so happy it was empty and the RN could see me (I should have taken that as a bad sign but of course I didn't). I was very unhappy post my visit, I was supposed to get a call within the next 48 hours to let me know if I had strep throat, no one called at all, so I figured oh I guess my lab work wasn't sent out, that's a bummer. Then a few weeks later I get a bill from a third party lab company for $70 for my lab work, the one I never received notice of. I'll pay the bill to avoid poor credit, however I think this was extraordinarily poor customer service, I was (1) told by Poe-Sandi Chang (the RN) that sending out the culture was at no additional cost; (2) had I been told upfront about the cost I would have assessed if I truly wanted the culture done; (3) I still have no clue if I had strep throat, I have been in discomfort for a while now, so I will make an appointment with my regular physician. Avoid this place, it is not worth the "convenience." You will pay things out of pocket, not receive quick results, and overall be unhappy as I was. read more

The most Mickey Mouse operation in healthcare. They don't open the sign in kiosk until 9 am when they are supposed to open so the first 15 min of the day are just people trying to sign in. Moreover this location doesn't have online sign-in available. We were in the middle of a screening with the nurse practitioner when she received a knock on the door and promptly kicked us out to treat someone else. Then they helped the person after us in line before we were called in again. Took over an hour just to get antibiotics drops. read more

This minute clinic is very confusing to use if you have health insurance.. The only way you can schedule an appointment on their machine is if you have a card.. (debit, credit, etc...) Otherwise, you cannot use your insurance... Or maybe you can but I couldn't figure out how... I spoke with a pharmacy technician from the CVS pharmacy and she told me that usually you just entire your insurance and that's it. But I told her that it was forcing you to add a debit card. I don't have a debit card, and the second time I went for help, the other pharmacy technician told me that she doesn't believe the minute clinic accepts my insurance... It's on the LA care website that minute clinics accept your insurance AND they listed this address.. So, there's no reason why they should act so pissy and try to lie and get you to pay cash... I feel like this clinic is going to say they accept your insurance because they're supposed to & only to get you to end up paying cash... They will lie and say that your health insurance doesn't cover certain things so that they end up pocketing the money... Because as we all know, medical doesn't pay them jack for having us as patients. That's why everyone wants to end their contracts with medical... This is plain discrimination.. how can you make someone who already cannot afford health insurance pay for something that their insurance covers!? Crooks!!! read more

I had an ok experience here when I went for a vaccine. The computer check-in is a little slow, but what else do you have to do? The young woman who helped me was professional and friendly. I felt comfortable getting the injection at Minute Clinic. The exam room was clean and organized. I waited about half an hour. Anyone who doesn't want to wait should probably show up first thing. There was a man on a very high ladder in the minute clinic area. The area should have been cleared when he was up there. To me, it didn't look very safe for him or anyone under him. read more

They close fifteen minutes before their posted close time. And they were annoyingly cheery telling me this after I drove from pasadena. Clearly these services don't really take "minutes" otherwise there would be no need to close early. Just post the real time you close and keep it real minute clinic. read more

Although the Nurse Practitioners were nice and friendly- the wait time is incredible. Also, they advertise $28 for the test, but in fine print it says $28 per test and reading. They almost doubled in cost over the last 2 years! I could have gone to my health clinic for $25 but thought this would be faster. So I ended up paying double, and had to wait even longer. I had a great experience here! My husband and I needed to get Tdap vaccines before our baby arrived. We waltzed in here on a Saturday afternoon and didn't have to wait at all, which was great. We were quickly set up with Art--who is the greatest--and he got us all sorted out. Neither my husband nor I is a huge fan of shots, and this was the single best shot experience either of us ever had. He did a great job of distracting us--especially my husband, who has been known to faint in the face of needles on occasion--and we didn't feel a thing (so we're total babies....but kudos to Art, he was a champ). Honestly, if I ever need another shot I will not only come back but call ahead of time to make sure Art is here. read more

Even when you register an appointment online you have to wait about an hour and a half. Their time management is horrendous- someone was in there for more than an hour.... if they're that sick they should be in a real urgent care facility, not an advertised quick in and out clinic. So frustrating and disappointing it would not be difficult for the staff to do way better than this... if they can't then different people should be running it... read more

I brought my father to MinuteClinic who developed ear infection after recent illness. Since he was visiting me here from Russia, we did not have a regular doctor to go to, so I turned for help to this clinic. I was so impressed with the care we got from NP Tracy Lee that I wanted to share my experience with others. Her questions were straight to the point, she carefully examined him and not only gave prescriptions but also several really helpful suggestions about treating his problem. She took so much time giving us detailed explanations of best way to treat and monitor the progress; I honestly hardly ever got that kind of treatment at doctor's office. Tracy Lee, the nurse practitioner, is just plain awesome. She is prompt, professional, personable and efficient. Not to mention, incredibly quick-witted and knowledgable. I went in for a minor but reoccurring issue. Tracy addressed me with a such a pleasant mannerism that it brightened my day despite my aches and pains. She even helped thoroughly explain my insurance allowances in detail. I haven't dealt with this much patience in a long time. I agree with the below comment that mentions the significance of company policy. And to all the negative comments, you idiots obviously don't take into consideration that many companies, particularly those related to medical, follow very strict guidelines that they must adhere to. It is a liability to go about treating patients without some sort of defined documentation. Remember, these are employees, like you and I, who choose to follow company policy to keep their jobs!! So all you people complaining about wrong/ineffective diagnoses or treatments, go see an urgent care or your primary care doctor then. You can't really expect Minute Clinic to give you treatment based on your unique case just because you say so. read more

TOTAL SCAM!!! If it were possible to give this place zero stars I would!!! Went to the minute clinic to get a prescription for an antibiotic for an inner ear infection. Told the nurse practitioner, Tracy Lee, this as soon as I entered the exam room (which, for the record, the nurse didn't bother to sanitize after the previous patient). Nurse practitioner, Tracy Lee, took a bunch of information, confirmed I have an inner ear infection and then began to prescribe drops. I informed her that I already have the drops and they aren't enough. I explained that this is a problem I've dealt with my entire life and that the infection requires an antibiotic. She refused to provide anything but drops stating that her computer indicates drops for an ear infection. Im a person, not just some list of symptoms in a computer. Clearly, NP Travy Lee lacks any confidence or ability to treat the prople that come through the door. instead, her only skill (or interest) is in clicking the computer mouse to answer a bunch of yes/no questions to spit out a "treatment plan" consisting of over the counter treatment. if Tracy Lee is not able to write a prescription for an antibiotic, as she claims, what good is she? What a complete waste of time. If you can't prescribe a simple antibiotic for a confirmed infection, what on earth is the point of the minute clinic? No one needs to pay $80+ to be told to take something over the counter. This minute clinic concept is a complete scam as the staff are not licensed to meet basic needs or capable of addressing basic needs, even as simple as an ear infection. Ended up walking out (no use in wasting any more of my time) and going to urgent care, where I paid $20 less and they promptly wrote a prescription for an antibiotic. Urgent care takes more time, but is actually staffed by doctors that ate educated, licensed, and have the capacity to address medical needs. The minute clinic only takes a minute because that's all the time required for the nurse practitioner at CVS to determine she's not qualified to actually provide you with any care or service. Minute clinic is just a scam to try and get you into the store with the hope that you'll make other purchases. Save yourself the time and money and go straight to urgent care. You're going to have to go there anyway, so might as well go straight to the source and save yourself time, money, and a ton if aggravation! read more

This review is rated on the Customer Service through the 866 number. Be aware that not all insurances will cover the Minuteclinic as a "Walk in Clinic". Anthem does not. I am in dispute with Anthem because Minuteclinic does not schedule appointments (to me this should be obvious to insurance that it's a walkin clinic). A patient is seen on a "walk in" basis, therefore insurance should cover it. I have tried four times to call the 866 minuteclinic number and have been on hold, each time, for over 30 minutes. I have had to end my wait time. I wanted to talk to a Representative so I wouldn't be sent to collections. My bill has been sent to collections. Clearly, MinuteClinic Customer Service needs alot more Customer Service Representatives to keep the wait time reasonable. read more
