This MinuteClinic is garbage. I'm writing the review here since this place is listed as permanently closed on Google and I can't leave a review there. Made an appointment for a sprained ankle, mind you there's a CATEGORY for it when booking the appointment and the lady turned me away 10+ minutes after my appointment time to tell me to go to an urgent care because they don't have machines to do imaging/x-rays. I had to confirm my appointment like five times before getting there at 9:30am. They had a whole DAY before my appointment to call me to let me know they couldn't see me for my issue. But they waited until I showed up to tell me all nonchalant. What a mess. The lack of passion for customers alone should steer you away from this run down CVS. I wasted 30 minutes of my life waiting and driving to urgent care. I'm doing all this before I have to go into work. Will be escalating this as far as it will go. read more

I cannot recommend the minute clinic. Not unless you want to stay sick. This is the second time I came here, was diagnosed improperly, and had to go to my regular doctor for antibiotics. The staff here at the minute clinic are very polite and kind. But polite and kind do not make a sick girl well. The first time I went with a hacking cough that lasted over a month and chest pain. I was told I had allergies. I did not. After almost passing out from an asthma attack, I wound up at my primary care doctor who prescribed an antibiotic which had me up and running in a matter of days. I decided to give them another chance when I went in with a horrible cough and clogged, painful ears. It was a Saturday and my primary care was closed. Again, they told me I had allergies and sent me home with nasal spray. The symptoms worsened, and I was forced to go to my primary care doctor again. Again, I was given antibiotics which helped me in a matter of days. I know that we are an antibiotic obsessed nation, and that our dependency on drugs has created a lot of strains that resist medication. I am the first person to refuse meds and opt for the natural route: soup, tea, rest,healthy diet. But by golly, I was sick as a dog and my body needed help. Sometimes, people actually need antibiotics to help them get better! Why these people are so hesitant to prescribe them is beyond me, but visiting this clinic has proven to be a waste of time and money. read more

Part II of II Afraid to experience again the horror from which I had only just recovered I rushed to a CVS minute clinic, where there was no waiting, and a friendly, caring, and considerate nurse practitioner who didn't mind me calling my boyfriend to remember which Wellstar I'd gone to, and then looking up the number of the Wellstar so that I could call and check what I'd been prescribed. Upon learning that it was Levaquin, she expressed confusion, and sympathy that I had to pay so much. "I just don't understand why, when you have something that you know works, you wouldn't just prescribe the least expensive option.." She also said she had never heard of Levaquin for strep. My visit cost $11 with insurance, and my next set of 10 day antibiotics cost $60. Why didn't I go here first? I felt much better after two days. A couple weeks later, I received an envelope in the mail from Wellstar. I owe them $134. The breakdown is as follows: $44.95 strep test, and a whopping $134.05 for a "new patient visit fee." Insurance took off $44.95, and so I owed the $134.05. When I called questioning the exorbitant fee for such minor services, I was silenced in a rather cold way. Indeed, I will have paid over $300 to recover from strep throat, 75% of which went to cover one of the most awful painful days of my life. My advice: If you are REALLY sick, go to a hospital. If you're a little sick, go to CVS minute clinic. Stay away from "state of the art not-for-profit" money and life-sucking monsters like Wellstar. read more

Located in CVS Pharmacy, this clinic holds up to its, name. Fast clinical treatment, diagnosis and prescriptions by skilled and accredited nurse practitioners to get you better in minutes. This place is awesome for those who may not have health insurance, or those like me who have insurance but not a regular doctor because its totally inexpensive. I've gone here when I didn't want to wait in the waiting room at the emergency room when I had strep throat and a sinus infection. Since this is a clinic, (and if you have insurance) the co-pay is usually really cheap. If you don't have insurance, diagnosis and treatment of your ailment usually range between $50-$80. They offer other services from treating athletes foot, strep throat, sinus infections, bronchitis, burns, and much more. It also is a big plus, because you don't have to travel far when it comes down to filling your prescription, because the clinic is inside the pharmacy! They just simply call over to the counter, taking the pain out of the pain of talking. The nurses are REALLY nice and professional. I highly suggest it! read more

Halloween Day I woke up hacking and with a moderately high fever and needed to be seen by a doctor asap to figure how why I felt so awful. Of course I was fearful of h1n1, but fortunately I did not have that, only acute bronchitis, easily cured with a strong antibiotic and lots of fluids and rest. Well, I missed Halloween night out (I am so sorry Gretchen!), but my experience at this Minute Clinic was top notch. I had to wait behind about 6 patients, some of which were quick appts as they were only waiting for flu shots and others were longer if they were there due to illness. The only issue was lack of adequate seating, but I just waited back by the pharmacy in the empty chairs there. Be sure to listen for your name though or they will skip over you! Spent about 1 hour there and that included getting my prescription. Not bad at all. One other note: they take a lunch break weekdays from 1-2 pm and weekends from 1:30-2, so try to avoid the buffer zone on either side as they get more backlogged with that break. Also got a referral from nurse practioner Traci for a PCP for a follow up visit and they even took my insurance, so visit cost me only $20 instead of the $62 regular fee (which would have been a modest cost anyway for such fast professional service) Highly recommended! read more

I popped in today. It's supposed to open at 830, which is the time I arrived. The sign said closed, but the office door was closed and someone was in is in there having what sounded like a loud personal conversation. The door had a handwritten sign that said only knock if it's a delivery or emergency. I tried to schedule an appointment at the kiosk in the meantime, but no appointments were available today even though there's no one here. I finally left at 850. It was still closed. read more

I got there at 2 pm. They were closed for lunch. I registered at the machine outside the door. The machine said I would receive a text message and then have 30 minutes to come back. I went home. I received a text message at 3:49 pm. The message said: "Minute Clinc Visit Alert: Pls return to MinuteClinc within 30 minutes to be seen. If you return later than 30 minutes, you will lose your place in line." I immediately left home and got there in less than 10 minutes, about 3:58 pm. There were several people waiting at about 4:30 the door opened and the woman in a lab coat (heavy set, with a disfigured right eye) came out and asked for the next patient -- not me. At a little after 5 pm, she asked for a patient who was sitting next to me who had told me she just registered a few minutes before I got there. I asked the woman in the lab coat "What about me, I registered at 2 pm." I gave her my name, she said I was a no show, because my appointment was for 3:25 pm, and I wasn't there yet. I explained that I was never given an appointment time, I was only told that I would get a text message and have 30 minutes to get there -- I told here I got the text message at 3:49 pm and got there less than ten minutes after that. She was completely dismissive with me. My advice is: stay away from this place at all costs. read more

Horrible experience! Went to the cvs minute clinic on Fairburn Rd. Douglasville, Ga. for a raging sinus infection hoping to get some antibiotics. I know about sinus infections because I have had sinus surgery twice! The nurse practitioner called me in the office and said that she cannot prescribe antibiotics. Her reasoning was that I needed to prove that I have had a sinus infection for a certain amount of time. The bottom line is that I left without any medicine for my infection! Honestly, I felt that she was for some reason making excuses not to treat me. If you have an infection and need antibiotics, you are out of luck... don't bother with cvs. read more

My wife and had an awful experience at this minute clinic yesterday. We check into the appointment at 2:15 and she was still at lunch until 2:40. One person was ahead of us and their appointment took 15 minutes as normal. The crazy thing is that we waited another 15 minutes while no one was in the room with the nurse. I then knocked on the door to ask how much longer it would take and the nurse said, "I will get to you when I have time!!" We both looked at each other stunned by how were were treated. Then as we were walking out 30 seconds after she was nasty she said, "I'm ready for you." We left and filed a complaint with CVS. I have had good experience from this particular minute clinic, but this was something I have not experienced in a while. Good luck with who you get. read more

This location is pretty consistent in terms of service. The nurse manages to diagnose, treat and also keeps patients time in consideration.

This place is horrible with Dr. Althea Chung-Ferguson. Two years ago I went for a visit and she wrote the most inaccurate and laziest visit summary. Then I return today with a sore throat and because I mentioned a mild dry cough she refused to see me saying I need to be COVID tested when I have no shortness of breath nor a fever. Also claimed they would not accept my insurance when it is in network. The fact that the Dr. and her nurse constantly rolled their eyes and raised their voice at me then told me I shouldn't come back is absurd. They self diagnosed me claiming I could have COVID when I literally mainly had a sore throat. The best part is they were belittling my illness and discriminating me WHILE BOTH WERE NOT WEARING A MASK. To be this unprofessional and rude does not reflect the community this CVS is located. Please do better because I used to love coming here as it was close to my job but now I will never ever come back. read more

Horrible. Made an appt online and arrived early to check in as requested. Was kept waiting 40 minutes beyond my appt time and when I got up to use the restroom they gave my appt time away to the next guy in line. Didn't bother to take even 2 minutes to check to see if I was around (even though they have my cell number in their system for check in). Will never go back. read more

The nurse was very rude and rushed through the procedure. She interrupted me to talk about prices after just asking my symptoms. The exam was quick and no thorough enough at all. I had complained of nasal congestion but she didn't even check my nose yet wrote as is she had on the print out at the end. She didn't properly check my throat even though I complained of soreness and hoarseness. She simply waved a light around from a full 2 feet away as I opened my mouth. At the end she said it seemed like a normal viral problem and to take regular over the counter items. She also prescribed an antibiotic to take if I was still sick in two days... the first thing I told her when this started was that I had been sick for over week and was there to find out why. When I asked for any more info on the antibiotic, she ignored me twice. Both times she, instead, asked for payment and pushed for the card to be swiped. When she finally did answer she told me the pharmacy would print out a sheet. I was looking for any other general info like side effects and normal uses yet she couldn't be bothered to do that. I had to explain to her that any information meant anything and that I was asking as I have many allergies to meds, something I mentioned earlier on to her. I did not get the med as I did not feel she did a good enough exam to perscibe me something nor could she answer a basic question. When I attempted to call the service line to file a complaint, they were unhelpful and tried to tell me her manager would contact me. This has not happened. They tried transferring me and hung up on me. I have yet to be able to get back in contact with them since. I refuse to go to another minute clinic if this is the type of service I will receive. read more

I was a little misleaded reading the CVS Minute Clinic website. I just need a quick strep test, which said it was $23. I drove 45 mintues to the nearest minute clinic only to be told it would cost me $130. Office visit ~ really for coming into CVS just to get a prescription for what I already know I have is going to cost me an additional $110, no thanks! It should be more obvious online. read more

Will never use another Minute Clinic (especially the Chamblee, GA location) again. After completing my 10 days of antibiotics I was still sick. When I called back to speak with the Minute Clinic I was shocked to find out you cannot call the Minute Clinic. I was informed I would have to come back & pay another office visit fee for the same problem they just saw me for! Not to mention the extremely rude pharmacist I spoke with.
