I have no idea why someone would ask questions like that for just a sore throat. Aside from these highly inappropriate questions, she was also generally mean and unhelpful to my daughter.

This visit left me deeply upset and confused. I came in due to elevated CK levels that have persisted since April. I explained my concerns to Dr. Sarza, and rather than feeling heard, I was met with hostility and accusations. She stated that high CK levels were not a concern and that I should "look into genetics." When I asked whether prolonged elevation could still be an issue given my muscle injury and hydration challenges, she appeared dismissive and confrontational. During our discussion, she asked if I was a nurse -- which seemed unrelated and made me uncomfortable. When I briefly checked the time on my phone while lying on the exam bed, she came closer and twice asked if I was recording her. This behavior felt invasive and accusatory. I told her I did not feel comfortable with how she was speaking to me, as her tone was aggressive and unprofessional. She then claimed that I was being rude and talking over her, which I strongly disagree with. I was only trying to understand the next steps regarding my CK levels. She then abruptly stated she would no longer treat me and that I should find another provider. She left the room while I was still on an IV, shouted to staff that she was "doing a C.I.," and did not provide me with discharge instructions. I was left alone, uncertain of what to do next, and felt humiliated. My wife and I have always had great experiences at this Patient First location, which is why we have trusted your care. This experience, however, was deeply distressing and has caused me to question my safety and the professionalism of the care I received. I usually have great experiences at the Patient First on W Broad Street, but my visit with Dr. Mirala Sarza was deeply disappointing. I was left on an IV after she refused to continue care and did not received discharge instructions initially but instead was told I could go. I felt disrespected, unsafe, and unheard. INOVA really needs to improve its billing process. I never received a bill for either of my two visits. During my first visit, they actually mistook me for another person with the same name, which should have been a red flag from the start. I only found out that I had an outstanding bill because my insurance company told me they could only cover part of the cost, so I reached out to the billing help desk. I thought I had gotten everything sorted out and provided my address so they could send me the bill, but once again, I NEVER received anything. I followed up twice before finally being told that the account had been sent to collections. They have since reversed the collections status after I explained their incompetence and the fact that I never received a bill. But who knows how long it was in collections or whether it affected my credit score in the process! I am incredibly disappointed that I had to chase them down just to pay for care. I finally received a link to pay the bill and immediately did so, which I intended to do all along. It should not be this difficult to send someone a bill by mail or email. I should not have to worry about being penalized for a billing process that was completely out of my control.

Here - they must be scheduling wizards because on the three visits I have had, I was checked in, sat for about a minute (ok, maybe 5... maybe) and was then seen by the assistant and then within minutes the physician. An appointment that would have taken my close to two hours previously was like 20 minutes. I LOVE THAT. And the reason to why we couldn't find the result? The name was incorrect! How is the name incorrect?? They have done test here prior and received results, but this time and this test just happened to be a different name when there was no chance in the name of the ID given or the insurance card? When I asked why that hadn't been communicated to patients who had lab orders in she said verbatim "I don't know what information did or did not go out to patients about this." Clearly since I was there for labs, none did and she couldn't have cared less. She didn't even offer other options until I asked so where can I go and then shoved a list of places in my hand. Where should I start? Well let's start with when we signed up for KP and they said all my drugs…read morewere in their formulary and then once you sign up and are locked in for a year, that is when some Pharmacist calls you and tells you that several of the drugs you are on are "NOT" in their formulary and I should have gone to the some other book and on page 1872 it states that these three are not covered!! So one of these drugs was a blood thinner as I had a clot in my lower leg! Well after complaining constantly that I was not feeling right, and my feet were swelling up so bad I couldn't get a shoe on my foot!! Well this is when I decided to heck with this doc I am going to the ER!! Well Kaiser saved $8 on that blood thinner but then because I was developing blood clots, what they call Pulmonary embolism, then they had to do a Doppler imaging and 3 CT scans!! Oh and I had to go back on lovenox which is $1000 a shot!! When I was done with the 10 shots at two a day, I took back the five remaining needles and the pharmacy just threw them in the trash!! Then they put me back on my original blood thinner!! But that $8 savings took a bullet to the foot since the lovenox was very spendie!! Oh and I should add that all of this BS they never waived any copayments and I have had to pay them for the crappy thinner on their formulary that put me in this situation!! Kaiser sucks and I am stuck with these witless twits until January first! If you want to die by a thousand paper cuts then KP is the place! If you are an English speaking person you need several interpreters when you go because KP has a huge amount of non-English speaking help and when they say something to you and you do not understand them and say excuse me? They get upset with you because you do not speak whatever broken English they are trying to spew at you! This place is so worried about saving a few dollars that patient care suffers extremely! And then they wonder why people hate insurance companies!! If you have any choice, choose the other company because this place is horrible!! It is funny that they got bit so hard on the cost of that Lovenex!! It reminds me of an old saying; "Penny wise and pound (dollar) foolish! I should post some of the interactions between myself and one of the KP docs!! I would write this huge letter spelling out what was going on and her response to me was "Thank you for your concerns."
