I tried giving this place a couple chances as with the pandemic everyone has been effected so we have to be lenient, but I have officially hit my end point. My results were not delivered to me but another family member which was really irresponsibly as per HIPPA. Due to that wrong information was not passed back to me. I didn't find this out till months later when needing results for work and going on the lab website to retrieve them. Another is that one of my relatives who has trouble with technology had asked me to help them on retrieving their results as well. However, when inputting their name no results were found! It's been over 2 months past the appointment in which they had gone to the lab to get test done!! So then we tried called the office to ask what was going on and they just told us that it was our own responsibility to figure out the test and call it in ourselves?? How great, you write the order but can't help us retrieving it. Well thanks for nothing. I was actually able to retrieve the results after going through papers that were kept after each appointment/ order. Thank goodness these papers were saved! And the reason to why we couldn't find the result? The name was incorrect! How is the name incorrect?? They have done test here prior and received results, but this time and this test just happened to be a different name when there was no chance in the name of the ID given or the insurance card? Anyway, thanks for the past care that we received here. We will not be coming back.

This visit left me deeply upset and confused. I came in due to elevated CK levels that have persisted since April. I explained my concerns to Dr. Sarza, and rather than feeling heard, I was met with hostility and accusations. She stated that high CK levels were not a concern and that I should "look into genetics." When I asked whether prolonged elevation could still be an issue given my muscle injury and hydration challenges, she appeared dismissive and confrontational. During our discussion, she asked if I was a nurse -- which seemed unrelated and made me uncomfortable. When I briefly checked the time on my phone while lying on the exam bed, she came closer and twice asked if I was recording her. This behavior felt invasive and accusatory. I told her I did not feel comfortable with how she was speaking to me, as her tone was aggressive and unprofessional. She then claimed that I was being rude and talking over her, which I strongly disagree with. I was only trying to understand the next steps regarding my CK levels. She then abruptly stated she would no longer treat me and that I should find another provider. She left the room while I was still on an IV, shouted to staff that she was "doing a C.I.," and did not provide me with discharge instructions. I was left alone, uncertain of what to do next, and felt humiliated. My wife and I have always had great experiences at this Patient First location, which is why we have trusted your care. This experience, however, was deeply distressing and has caused me to question my safety and the professionalism of the care I received. I usually have great experiences at the Patient First on W Broad Street, but my visit with Dr. Mirala Sarza was deeply disappointing. I was left on an IV after she refused to continue care and did not received discharge instructions initially but instead was told I could go. I felt disrespected, unsafe, and unheard. I truly hope Patient First reviews this situation so other patients don't go through what I experienced

This place is wonderful. They truly care about the patient. I have always been told that if you…read morecould ever get into this hospital to go there, but I had no idea what a difference it really was from all the others. In the last thirteen years we have dealt with too many hospitals to count. They have been generally the same. Get the patient in; evaluate quickly; take them off of whatever medication their regular psychiatrist usually has them on; have a peeing contest, so to say, with their regular psychiatrist, to show who really is the physician, with no real concern for the patient; not wanting any information from those who are around them most often; shipping them out of the hospital as quickly as possible, most often before the medication has even taken effect, to a Rehab, Home, or Halfway house; just to start the process again with another patient. Then the cycle keeps repeating itself. Our experience with Dominion Hospital was nothing like this. Leslie, the Social Worker, or Dr. Zoe, the Psychiatrist, would call whenever they felt the need to get further information or to advise about something they were concerned about. It was never a five minute phone call either. We would speak for long periods of time trying to find a solution that would most likely benefit the situation at hand. I never had this type of experience in any other place. It was amazing. They definitely put their whole heart into it. I will also say, they were dealing with a very difficult situation. In all cases, it is the responsibility of the patient to want to make the changes and put in the hard work to get things done. I will just say, Dominion sets them on that track by giving them a great beginning. They try to get them on the correct medications; get them into the right treatment programs; and offers them wonderful support along the way. This hospital is outstanding! Thank you to everyone.

The trip was meant to be for my child to receive a COVID booster. I confirmed online that this location had the correct vaccine and then - over the course of the process - in MULTIPLE text confirmations, at pre-checkin, at check-in, and finally on the phone, I confirmed my child's date of birth. Between scheduling and the appointment, every two hours or so, I basically confirmed to these idiots that my three year old child was in fact three years of age. You'll never guess who was surprised by the fact that their patient turned out to be a three year old. You'll never guess who was wholly unprepared to provide the service I'd signed up for, confirmed and re-confirmed. Or wait, maybe if you're not a mouth-breathing chucklehead CVS nurse you might have some inkling of where this is going ... That's right, the patient who was born in 2020 is, in fact, three years old as of 2023. You can even do the math from the comfort of your home. A lack of brains and access to medicine is a bad combination. I'm genuinely surprised the people who work here don't accidentally kill themselves or others with some regularity. I would strongly advise against visiting this MinuteClinic. You're putting your life in the hands of someone who can't count to three.

I was already skeptical…read morebecause the last time I went to an urgent care clinic they gave me really bad info that led to disastrous results and I have been highly skeptical ever since. This one I am glad to report is one of the good ones. Basically everybody that works there is great from the front desk Michelle who is helpful and relatable. The medical assistant Katie made me feel comfortable let me ask my questions and instruct me on what I needed to know. Then I met Dr. G who went above and beyond to let me know how serious my various conditions were that I had and gave me a practical but tactical plan to intelligently work to stop and potentially reverse each one. I had a number of side problems that I thought were unrelated to my core issue and he patiently thoroughly explained how they were all related and how it would progress to something much worse potentially something that could really ruin my life. I ask a lot of questions the doctors which I'm sure annoys them, but due to having some weird stuff I felt let down by so many. I have educated myself deeply on my own health issues but of course I am biased and have blind spots. The fact that I went to an urgent care to take care of a foot but that I was able to be happily convinced to intervene now and work with him to take the necessary steps towards greater health is something I've never seen before. And I have yet to see Dr. Axl which I should be doing soon I already have great faith that he will follow in the same great care and quality. Talking to Dr. G he explained how not urgent care centers are the same and that there's different ways they can operate and that really showed me what a gem I have stumbled upon. They have a primary care doctor there which is amazing so now I can switch my doctor there and make appointments for that or walk-ins. Now I don't know how expensive this is for everyone everyone has their own concerns with how that all breaks down. But Dr. G was very thorough with me in helping me even to understand to make it work which I've never seen before at any of the doctors I've been to. He did a thorough work up on me getting the bulk of test done today which I now have a series of follow ups that I can do and I know that I'm on the right track now. For anyone reading this I know that we all have different issues different concerns it's really hard to find a good doctor if you don't have one already and I suggest if you live in this area and you need an urgent care try this one out make sure, make sure you're clear on everything, as we know you can get surprises but the office is transparent and upfront as this, that delivers such quality as well as offering a multitude of services not seen by most urgent care centers, I think Xcel Urgent Care is a great add to Falls Church and is worth a visit if you're considering it,

Later, Dr. Akl told me that he has his own private clinic and that he could do the tests there. I took an appointment at his travel clinic, but they quoted me $900-$1000, so I decided to return to the urgent care office since it was more affordable and we already had an agreed price. When the doctor saw me, he said: "You will pay $900 either here or there," implying that the decision was his, not mine. Honestly, the staff were very kind and cooperative, but this doctor's attitude was unprofessional, especially since there was already a price agreement at this clinic. When a patient is paying out of pocket, the final decision should always be the patient's, based on their budget and comfort -- not pressured into a more expensive option. Very disappointing experience. I will not be returning.

I ultimately needed 17 stitches. What could have been a frightening and overwhelming experience instead became something I'll always remember for the compassion and professionalism shown to me. Every single person we encountered treated me with patience, kindness, and urgency. I never once felt like "just another patient." I felt cared for. PA Patel, who stitched my hand, was extraordinary. He was meticulous and deliberate in his work, but what stood out even more was how he treated me and my wife throughout the procedure. He explained everything as he went, answered our questions without hesitation, and maintained a calm, steady presence that gave us confidence and reassurance. You could tell he takes pride in doing things the right way -- not just clinically, but humanely. And Nurse Nick brought something just as important -- warmth and humanity. She was upbeat and genuinely kind, taking the time to connect with me as a person. That kind of personal care means almost as much as the medical expertise. Cons: no live wait time on website, registration staff who truly DGAF, dirty waiting area Wait time: 2.3 hours just to get into an exam room (I was balled up in a corner in pain and begged for a blanket because it was cold inside and 50 degrees outside. They triaged me, took blood and urine and had me remain in the waiting room. Once I actually got into an exam room, things started to move more quickly. Care: Dr. Sidara was actually the saving grace here. He was incredibly nice and thorough, spoke to me with respect and care, and worked to address my issues as soon as possible. He was even able to pull info from past doctors visits, which included a slight ear infection and double checked my ears while I was there to make sure he didn't miss anything further. I won't go into all of the details of what he discovered, but had he not caught one thing in particular, I might still be in excruciating pain. What I didn't like is the fact that I was in an exam room for maybe 30 minutes, then they took me to get a CT. And once I finished the CT, I was not taken back to the exam room, but taken to the "results waiting" room. There, my IV hung in front of me, without being connected, for about an hour. When all of my results were back, the doctor returned to me and told me all the findings and the plan moving forward. I do wish they would have kept me overnight so that I could continue to be monitored and receive pain management medication, but I understand that's not necessarily typical treatment for what I was experiencing. Shortly after the doctor checked in with me, my discharge papers were drafted, and I was on my way out. I was there from 3:50-9 p.m. ish.
