Amazing! So glad I looked at Yelp reviews when deciding where to go. I now see why there were so…read moremany 5 star ratings. Obviously was feeling under the weather, but the overall atmosphere here was very calming. Everyone was extremely professional but still personable & relatable. I appreciated the fact that there were no false claims about the speed at which I would be seen.

Every time I've been there I have been pleased with the doctors and the treatment. However, this…read moretime, I am very upset just trying to follow the doctor's orders as the nurses can't seem to get it right. Have pink eye, doctor prescribed eyedrops, stating 2 drops every two hours for two days, then 1 drop every 4 hours for 5 days. My bottle is empty after just three days so I called to get another bottle to continue the treatment as doctor ordered. First call, nurse said they couldn't do anything till doctor came back to work(this being Sunday and he returns Tuesday) She said to reduce the drops to 1 every 4 hours until they can talk to the doctor to make the drops last. So today, Tuesday, I called and I had to talk to another nurse. She really mixed up what I said to her, saying my left eye is all clear(my infected eye). I told her that is not correct, it's better, but I need to continue the eyedrops for another 5 days as the doctor ordered. Then she immediately mixed up the number of days saying 5 days total(supposed to be 7 days). She said she would give my doctor the message. I later get a call back from Patient First, a different nurse, stating since my eye has gotten so much worse, the doctor wants me to return to see him!!!!! I Never said my eye was worse, I said it's getting better but I'm out of the eyedrops. I'm just trying to follow the doctors orders, using the drops for 7 days as prescribed. Now I'm told I have to call back tomorrow. I will continue using Patient First as I have always received the best care there in the past, but this time has been a Frustrating experience.

I took my husband to the King George location this morning. He is VERY ill with COVID (tested…read morepositive last night) and is running a fever, has chills, etc. When we arrived I checked him in at the kiosk and it said "Your wait is approximately 25 minutes. There is one person ahead of you." I told the receptionist that he has COVID and that he needs to be seen QUICKLY, because he can't be sitting in a public waiting room for long (for everyone's safety). She said snidely, "He can wait in the car." Seriously?????? After waiting 30minutes I went back to her and asked nicely how much longer the wait would be. She told me an hour and a half. Meanwhile, SEVERAL people had been taken in ahead of us. I told her again that my husband is running a fever, etc., and she said, "There's nothing I can do about the wait time." Oh, AND my husband is over 50 and diabetic so he REALLY needed some medicine. At that point we left. Have they never heard of the word TRIAGE?? You take the sickest patients in first!!

They do this so they can bill for more test. We go to next care they say yes you do have strep. Then Mary Washington sends a message you the next day that you do have strep. Don't go to Mary Washington urgent care. They are garabage. I have heard about them doing this to a lot of people. I should have listened and not gone there. If you want treatment don't waste your time going there.

I am a Veteran and chose Fredericksburg Primary Care Clinic through the Community Care service…read more All Veterans, PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE! Instead, choose a modern, professional, full-service doctor practice like Mary Washington Hospital Primary Care 540-741-9300 12101 Carol Lane STE 101 Fredericksburg VA 22407. The difference is Night and Day!! MW has modern technology and facilities, MW Doctors are continually being trained in the latest medical treatments and technologies. They offer Veterans way more modern diagnostics with modernized treatments. of interest to Veterans, MW has perfected the VA Community Care Optum processes. Because they are modern they offer online check-in, and use the My Chart app, which makes life SO MUCH EASIER!! No comparison on the level of Veteran care between the two!!! Fredericksburg Primary Care is a 1960s practice with no modernization that does not even staff enough people to answer phone calls. So, if you need to reschedule an appointment, you must physically drive to the office and walk in to do so. MW has an app for that and for all medical interactions. Fredericksburg Primary Care is an antiquated doctors' practice in a run-down old facility that should not even be cleared for a medical practice. Dog kennels are more modern. I have witnessed the hard-working, understaffed front office employees being treated horribly by the lead office administrator and the nurse practitioner, Sandra. The doctor's office is cramped, at least 50 years old, and basic. The administrative area and reception mingle, so one can see how old and broken down the equipment is. Think about how much money that doctor makes and still has broken-down old office equipment. His priorities are very clear, and they are not his facility, staff, or Veterans. They do not organize or plan for daily medical support services, especially the VA's administrative procedures, although they take on VA patients and get paid well for doing so. They also do not answer their phones because, as I quote, the office manager's response: "They ring so much, and we just do not have time to answer them." Because they do not have administrative processes for interacting with VA's Community Care Optum and do not answer their phones, every lab and x-ray consult requires multiple physical visits to request re-faxing the Request for Service forms. The RFS must be refaxed so many times because the untrained staff does not fill out the form correctly, and it is hit and miss if they use the correct fax number. In addition, they do not understand how to bill Optum for visits, so the Vet receives the bill every time. That forces the Vet to spend time on the phone calling Optum so they can pay the bill. This antiquated, disorganized practice should not be allowed in the Community Care network, and I am working hard to remove them.
