I've managed this chronic issue with my kid for the last 7 years. I used to immediately take him in and I was shamed for not trying to manage it myself at home with his inhalers. I tried everything I usually do throughout the day and now I was shamed for not taking him in right away. Damn if I do and damn if I don't. But clearly she was annoyed I brought him in before close. She didn't let me get a word in and immediately put the stethoscope on when she made that statement and then continued to talk after she listened to him. Clearly didn't want me to speak to her. My son spit out and threw up the medication he desperately needed and she refused to give him another dose. We ended up going to the ER and they were incredible, treated us with courtesy and respect and they had no issue giving him the dose he needed and the correct nebulizer. Waste of time and money at that place. Would NEVER recommend to anyone. I have never been treated that way by a medical professional, I was stunned, incredibly poor bedside manner.

From the moment I signed in, she tried refusing my insurance and prompting me to pay privately. First, she told me that my insurance was out-of-network. I've been here before, so I knew there was some mistake. I called my insurance to clear things up. After about 30 minutes of going back and forth between my insurance and Sandra, (she stalled a few times, didn't want to take the phone, asking for number to call later, etc.,) it was resolved and I went to sit down and wait to be called. A few minutes later Sandra called me back up to say that now, my deductible has not been met, and so I still have a co-pay of an amount that just so happens to match the private pay fee. My gut told me that was weird, but I didn't want to delay my son seeing the doctor any longer, so I just paid and thought I'd figure it out later. I didn't actually think this lady would have lied to me about my deductible. Two weeks later, I'm now discovering through billing, that at the time of the transaction, Sandra ran it as private pay, never even entered my insurance information, and it will take a month to get refunded. I cannot believe that someone at the baby doctor would be so devious as to swindle parents, but, it happened! I wouldn't recommend taking your children here, but if you do, be prepared to be on the defense when it comes to paying.

On Tuesday, my son had worsening chest pain so called to the urgent care to ask why my son was not prescribed something for his uri and the representative insisted it was because the uri was viral. Nothing on MyChart stated my son's uri was viral so the representative just told me this to not have to deal with helping me to obtain medicine for my son's worsening uri, whether this uri be bacterial or viral was unknown. Now, we have to wait to be seen tomorrow, Wednesday, by his primary care physician to obtain any help with his chest pain. Uninformative visit and ridiculous after-visit care help.
