Their scheduling app lies about walk-in availability. I went on the website for this location and it says "walk-ins are available today" and "walk-ins welcome". I made the 40 minute round trip to the location and when I input all the stuff at their kiosk for a walk-in appointment, it popped up a message that they aren't accepting walk-ins and to come back later with an appointment. I would not have driven all the way out there if the scheduling site actually had accurate information about their current walk-in availability. read more

So... take this how you will because ngl I'm confused too. I needed TB test and basic physical exam done for a program I'm starting. I initially had really great experience with the first NP I saw. I believe her name was Samantha Chan Buffington, NP. She was really patient and attentive. She explained the process, answered all my questions, and did the TB placement. But it went downhill from there... When I came back for TB result reading and physical it was another NP. It seemed like she was having a busy day and trying to multi-task patients which may have played into the situation. I admittedly was concerned how this NP was checking my blood pressure (dangling feet, dangling arm, she's moving me around to listen to my heart and lungs, cuff on very tight enough to leave lot of marks, etc.). She took two reading with a machine and by second one i was hitting 171/108. I tried to express concerns because these were insane numbers but it really seemed like she was convinced two reading was enough and the priority was keep patients moving. I mean I get it. It's minute clinic so figured I'll just track my blood pressure for few days. Next 5 days or so, I was getting average of 124/87 on a home monitor and my housemate who has been a RN for many years took it manually every evening just in case and at worst it was 136/84. Not great numbers I know but not near crisis numbers CVS was getting. I went back the following week figuring the prior week may have just been a fluke. Another practitioner saw me and I explain what happened the previous week. After the machine errored, she checked manually, both arms... she had me at proper position and everything but I believe she said my blood pressure was all the way into 180/100-something. ...At this point I went to an urgent care. Either one of us is doing something wrong or I have seriously troubling blood pressure. Told them what was happening and the urgent care did several reading just in case with ample amount of wait times in between. They got ~146/80 (but by this point I was kinda stressed so this is better than I expected frankly). Got my medical clearance at this urgent care without much fuss to my surprise. Was even cheaper than CVS too. They did mention it was a little high and I should talk to my primary which I completely understand. But I'm concerned and confused how two different personnel at this minute clinic was getting such high numbers. It's just not adding up. read more

I scheduled an appointment on July 12th 2025 at 2:40pm specifically to get a titer. I came in only to be told that they couldn't do the titer. The reason why the NP couldn't do the titer is because she wasn't "good at it" and told me that she could schedule an appointment with labcorp. It is a saturday, labcorp isnt open. I scheduled this appointment more than a week in advanced. If they had given me a heads up that the current NP in doesn't know how to draw blood then I would've understood but instead they let me come in and waste my time. I had previously gotten titers there before which is why I thought it was going to be a smooth appointment. Now I have to go somewhere else and schedule another appointment when I could've been done with it today if the NP knew how to draw blood. I called to get the appointment rescheduled but they didn't have anything open today. If the NP cannot draw blood DO NOT LET A PERSON BOOK FOR A TITER. In fact, just don't let titers be an available service. I went back home and took bereavement for a couple of days so my flight just came in this morning. And I go to work the very next day. I just wanted to come home and have everything I scheduled smooth sailing but that couldn't even happen. If they can't do titers, either don't offer the service or get NPs that know how to draw blood. read more

The treatment received was adequate at best and the wait was long, though I had an appointment none else was waiting at the time, but that was the least of my problems. Almost a year after the treatment, they apparently mess up the billing and billed the insurance incorrectly, yet refused to properly resubmit the insurance claim and instead charged me $139 for something that they improperly billed from the summer of 2023! It's just pure nonsenses and I'll make sure that I never use them again nor will my family. The "convenience" is not worth the headache. It may not seem like a lot of money to some, but the fact that they would decide to charge a customer for their mistake is just bad business. I would give a no star for that alone but it's not an option. I hope this saves someone the time and money. read more

I had a simple COVID-19 testing appointment. On the CVS Minute Clinic website, where I made the appointment, it stated that COVID test are $69.99. In person, the NP stated it would cost $200. SCAM and UNPROFESSIONAL!! When I got to CVS Minute Clinic in Irvine, The medical professional had the door open when speaking to a different patient, tested me for COVID in the waiting area, and wasn't wearing a mask. This healthcare professionals main job is testing people for COVID-19 and wasn't wearing simple protections such as a mask. She then told me the test would cost $200 as they would test my sample for other infections and diseases. I came ONLY for the COVID test, and she wanted to test me for other things without my consent. She then stated I would need to come back in 30 minutes to get my results, and when my results showed up through CVS online She called me angrily wondering why I decided not to come back to the store. She also stated that I would need to re-enter my credit card information that was already stored on the CVS account along with my address and email where they could send the bill. Samantha and Hyejin were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help. Hyejin was the one I had the appointment with and she was very thorough and took the time to listen and ask questions. The room was clean and well stocked. I was helped quickly as well. I was prescribed a medication that was a caspule that I couldn't take because I have trouble swallowing big pills. I went back to get another prescription and Samantha helped me since Hyejin was unavailable. She was so nice to help me even though she didn't need to. I really appreciated her help. It's nice how there's clinics like these within the area for those who need last minute appointments. I, for one, really need a TB test done and so I came here for 2 visits (the second visit was to get my arm read). Both visits (the injection and getting your results read) cost $28, totaling to $56. Unfortunately for TB tests, they do not accept health insurance, so be prepared to pay out of your pocket. Cash and credit cards are accepted. The Nurse Practitioner was nice and she's pretty patient and willing to ask questions. There's other licensed professionals who work in the clinic, but so far I've only met this NP and an LVN. Overall, the clinic offers other services such as vaccinations, physicals, screenings etc. The sign-up process is very simple. You walk up to the clinic and there's a touch-screen computer and you enter your information and wait in line for your appointment. The only thing that I recommend is that you check the website and see when their lunch hours are. Sometimes it varies per location - this is so you don't need to wait longer than you need to. read more

I Love the Minute Clinic! My second year going there for the flu shot. Much better off getting your flu shot here than at your Drs. office. Your doctor is very unlikely to carry the single shot non-preservative vaccine. He/She will have the multi dose vials with preservatives in it that they use for multiple patients. They have to put preservatives in it because the vial is being used for multiple patients once it's unsealed. And if the Dr.'s assistant does not shake it well before each patient and you are the last one on that vial--OMG! You are going to get a high dose of preservatives injected into you my friend. It's that preservative and the latex in it too injected into your body that is the cause of many bad reactions to the flu shot--not the shot itself. I asked my doctor why he does not carry the preservative free single shot. His response: "Not cost effective for my office....and I give my wife and children tons of preservative injections, so don't worry David...it won't kill you." Not immediately it won't.... read more

Someone needs to look up who was working this morning 03/01 at the 9am slot because the NP refused to help me, had poor listening skills, lacked empathy, and kept blaming me for not being able to assist me. I wanted to fill out the survey to discuss my concerns but they emailed me saying that my appointment was a cancelation since "I didn't show up". After going for MMR check up for work purposes I paid $180 I ask the doctor and nurse if there is any other payment dude to check if my blood still had MMR inside my body after getting blood draw. They both said no Months later I found out they send me to collections that I owe $300 which I never received anything emailed or mail or phone. I was set up from the start And I have always had excellent credit now this has mess up everything im so disappointed and mad that they did this. Go to your Doctor's office for flu shots, NOT Minute Clinic! Minute Clinic does NOT know how to properly submit a simple insurance claim. I spent two days on the phone, with my insurance company and with several members of Minute Clinic's Billing Dept., then finally with a supervisor at Minute Clinic Patient Support, to get their billing error corrected! It was discovered that Minute Clinic's nurse submitted the claim to the wrong insurance plan, so my claim was rejected, and Minute Clinic sent me a bill for the full amount! It is obvious that the Minute Clinic nurses are untrained in processing insurance claims. Ugh, I SMH at the incompetence these days. A real doctor's office has staff that is trained and experienced in dealing with insurance. To say the least.....This was an extremely frustrating experience! I just had the most humiliating experience at this CVS MinuteClinic. I went to get an annual physical because I work with a telehealth wellness company who requires an in-person exam once a year. But when I showed up here with my printed physical form, I was immediately embarrassed by the nurse on duty. She took a look at my printed out form and demanded to know "why I needed this" and "why I'm seeing a teleheath doctor in the first place". I was confused and tried to explain how I'm working with a wellness coach etc and just need a basic physical because my doctor can't physically see me. She still seemed doubtful and confused by me and my form. The nurse went on to say that they cannot do this at this minute clinic and advised I go across the street at an urgent care instead... so I left empty-handed, physical not provided, embarrassed that I had to shout out that I have other health problems that I'm working with a telehealth doctor for, and extremely frustrated that I even had to go through this experience. I left my appointments with Elizabeth feeling encouraged and with a thorough physical for my new job. We went there for my father last Sunday as he seemed to have either the flu or upper respiratory infection. The nurse never tested for flu but said he had pneumonia because she couldn't hear any air in his lower lungs and we needed to get him to ER right away. Scared my father to death. Went to ER and the doctor could hear air in his lungs and an X-ray showed he had no signs of pneumonia. So a very costly ER visit wasted and a half day. They gave him an antibiotic just in case. I will never go there again. Notes we got from Cvs were wrong too. Nurse said she encouraged him to get his vaccinations but he refused, we reported that he'd had flu vaccine and pneumonia booster a couple months ago. read more

There is no one to contact about test results for covid testing, only an automated message. They advertise 1-2 days for results, then on the automated message they say 3-5 days. I went there for a pcr test for travel hoping to get my results in 72 hours or less, and I am so stressed out because I haven't heard anything yet, and can't get information from anyone at cvs or minute clinic, and I travel in the morning. I am very thankful for this clinic. Last night I brought two sick children in late. Even though the schedule was full and the system would not register my daughter, the NP agreed to see her anyway. I'm sure she was long over due to go home but she took her time with both my kids and made them feel comfortable. They were not feeling well and had fevers and my son was a handful but she was patient and did not make me feel guilty. I cannot say enough good things. It's was nice to be able to come in and just do everything through 1 person. We didn't have to wait long. And when we were finished the pharmacy had the medication ready for us. The nurse practitioner there just now (Sunday sep 15) is by far the rudest bully of a person I have encountered. I had called CVS ahead to see if they do TB tests quickly because I had a small window of time and the gentleman said yes I should be in and out. When I arrived I saw it would be over an hour wait so I asked the woman if there was any wiggle room in the timing since I only saw one person in line and she had the most condescending and rudest way of speaking to me that I will never come to this CVS again. She could have simply said unfortunately this wait time is what it is and people will start showing up or why don't you wait a little and see if we have a no show - but she took it as an opportunity to take our her personal misery and hostile mood on a potential patient. Went in an hour before they opened and I was the first one in line. By the time they opened there were 5 people waiting to be seen. Huge demand. It's not a doctor you are seeing also- these are NP Nurse Practitioners and you'll get the same physical exam if you are sick but be prepared to make your case if you are looking for antibiotics or prescription. 2/3 times I'm referred right back out to the store for over the counter meds. I went in 7 days ago with strep symptoms, was examined and told I did not have strep. 7 days later I still have strep symptoms but now I also have a sinus infection, ear aches and laryngitis. Antibiotics would have been great, thanks. I did manage to get some prescription decongestants which are helping thank goodness. I mean I like the convenience but it's hard to get them to look at you like your not some hypochondriac. (It has to be because they see sick people all day!) Oh and I never get sick or go to the doctor so I want this illness to stop. Four stars because I would rather see a doctor or PA at this place since I'm paying my standard co-pay. It was hard finding an appointment because I know they are busy but the first one i could get was 5 days away. i made the appt sunday and it was for friday. 2 days later on tuesday they emailed me and say my covid 19 test appt was cancelled. i called to ask why and the only response they could give me was "i don't know". the lady offered another appt which was going to be the following wednesday, a full week and a half later. i would not recommend minute clinic because they are not organized at all and don't communicate with each other. read more

I LOVE MINUTE CLINIC! the overall experience is fast, painless and most importantly I am being treated by professionals by keeping the cost down. I feel like they did such a great job treating something that would cost double or even triple the premium in the regular doctor's office or urgent care but it seems like not a lot of people know this. I was tested and prescribed with medication immediately and the coolest part is I get to telecommunicate with a NP in Huntington Beach. I think if more people know about this and utilize them to treat minor problems, get physical exams, flu shots or vaccinations, we can save a ton of money in our pocket! I did not pay anything for the consultation and testing but I did pay few dollars for my prescription. I strongly suggest all of you to go there before you head to urgent care or doctor's office for minor illness! read more

Minute Clinic is convenient when you want to get something done quick but don't want to schedule an appt. or go to a hospital. This was located in a CVS and I walked to the back of the building and saw the Minute Clinic sign. You then enter some information into an electronic machine which will then put you on the waiting list to be seen. I came for a TB test for a volunteer opportunity requirement. The physician was nice and the procedure was simple enough. I then went to the next room to settle payment and this person was nice as well. It's simple to come and get something minor/routine looked at. I could foresee the wait getting long if there are a few people that need to be seen since it's only 1 office/physician. Just beware that they may take lunch at an odd hour, I came at 3pm one day and they were out for lunch. read more

We got here around 12:40 for a vaccination. After signing in on the kiosk, it said wait time of 13 minutes. While waiting the time bumped up to 80 minutes because they close at lunch. No problem, the staff has to eat. So we ran some errands to kill an hour and came back around 1:30. We waited until 2 when the nurse said that we'd need to come back at 3 because they didn't have lunch yet. If there is such a thing as a zero star I would give it to them. I had an ear blockage problem happened by ear wax built up. so I went to CVS as none of the doctors office had any available spot to take any more patients that day. After had me wait for nearly two hours they took me to the little room to check my purse n heart rate(for what ?). They didn't seem to have much clue of what they were doing. They kept looking at the paper and computer to figure out how to work with the system n what to do with me. Then they told me to sign this consent form saying that they could make me deft or cause many other health problems (there were like 10 serious conditions listed) It also said they might not be able to perform successful ear wax removal. It basically said If anything goes wrong during the procedure that would NOT be their responsibility. I asked them if there was a lot of occasions that they couldn't successfully remove the ear wax. They said they had to see my ears first in order to tell me further but I had to sign the form first. So I signed. (i never have seen anyone getting consent forms from their patients unless it involves some serious surgery. i should have run right there then). So they looked at my ears n told me that was an ear wax built up problem. They tried to remove the ear wax with this water hose thing looking like waterpik flosser. It hurt and absolutely didn't work in any level. After doing it for like 20 min they stopped it n told me to come back after I put ear drops for 3 days to desolve the wax. They said most of the people had to come back two or three times to get the ear was removed . (altogether It would be 200-300 dollars just to get the ear wax removed at CVS by technician. Many doctors are much cheaper than that) . And that is the information they didn't tell me before i signed the consent form) I asked them if they were not gonna charge me if I came back in a few days. they said they had to charge me regardless. My ear got a lot worse after they waterhosed my ears. My bad side of the ear got completely blocked and inside of my ear started hurting. They still charged me 99 dollars for wasting my time and making the ear worse. So I had to wait one more day to go to the ear doctor. This nice doctor with a big smile put me on the chair and fixed the problem in 15minutes. (Of course No consent form or pulse checks. Who does that to remove the ear wax? ) And it only costed 95 dollars! He told me that the skin inside of my ears was all torn up because of the water hose those CVS people used. He was vacuuming one of my ears for 10 min and he explained that it was because he had to vacume out pile of the dead skin inside of my ear which was caused by those CVS technicians water damage ). He said those water hose could cause severe injuries to ear drums since we couldn't control the pressure of the water coming out of the hose. Then I realized why they had me sign on the consent form saying that their procedure could cause me to become deft or cause sevier damages but they were not responsible for that). The doctor also said I should cover up my ears when I take a shower for a week because what those CVS technicians did to my ear could lead it to an infection since the inner ear skin got really thin n sensitive because original skin there was all ripped off. So I learned my lesson in a very very hard way. I usually don't leave any reviews unless it's seriously good or seriously bad. I feel like I have to warn people about this ear wax removal service that CVS offers. I don't want any more people get victimized by them. I'm not sure how they do with other procedures but my friend told me that when she went to CVS minute clinic when she was sick they could do absolutely nothing for her either. Those CVS technicians or nurses seemed to be very uncertain about what they were doing. I feel like they are practicing the procedures that they don't have skills or knowledges or tools for. So the nurse didn't verified my husband's name when we went in for flu shots. We later on got a bill in the mail to our 'last name last name'. We called the toll free no on the bill telling them they made a mistake. They said nothing they could do before we find out which one of us the bill was for. I went in to check. Didn't see the nurse who gave us our shots but the one next door who was really rude. I told her the situation, she pulled up the patient list and we found out that it was my husband's name that got messed up. She said she couldn't help change it and I should call the toll free no on the bill to fix it. Before I left, she said "it's not like you don't know your husband's name. I don't know why you have to come in." I wanted to say because of you people's stupidity, that's why, but I was in a rush so I just left. I just called the toll free no., waited 45 min and finally someone picked up. I explained the situation and the guy said he can't do anything. My husband has to fax in his ID to change the name on the bill. I told him that I was just put on hold for 45min and am calling as a courtesy. I could have just ignore the bill because there's no such person at the address. It will be their loss if I just ignore the bill. He repeated that he can't do anything. Like it was our fault.
