Was in town for a high school graduation and had to come here because of a bad cough and fever…read more Very nice, modern facility with a welcoming lobby. Very easy to make an appointment on line. Arrived a few minutes late but was not an issue. Receptionists were very nice and informative. Got in to a patient's room within 5 minutes of checking in and completing two pages of paperwork. The nurse practitioner was very thorough and took down my symptoms and history. Dr Bloom came in about 20 minutes later. He was informative, pleasant, and thorough. Prescribed a decongestant and gave a recommendation on a OTC expectorant to take. Very happy overall with the experience.

The NP, Lauren, made up for it. She was kind and caring and the nurse/ tech that checked vitals was super sweet too. (didn't catch her name) The most impressive part was I called the next day and was immediately connected to the NP, Lauren. This was very efficient and so helpful and not always the case with quick care. After this call, we were cared for immediately upon receiving test results. Thank you! Bathroom didn't seem clean but the lobby is beautiful.

I finally had to tell him that I graduated from Vanderbilt and this is not normal diarrhea and the cramping is not the type of pain that I am used to when I do have diarrhea. I asked if they did testing for cyclosporiasis and he said he did not know what it was. I paid 130 dollars for him to try and scoot me out of the door with some imodium before ever listening to what issues I had, what food I had eaten or anything. I had to tell him that when I had appendicitis the cramping was far worse than this but this cramping pain is definitely not something I experience regularly. He brushed it off and said I should try the health department. He wrote me a prescription for antibiotics. I won't take them until I can get tested for the parasite.

I went in because I wasn't feeing good and hoped to get a medication to relieve terrible cold symptoms. They quickly tested for covid, strep and flu which were all negative. It was then suggested that those aren't thorough enough and they could take another swab and send to their lab which would be ready the next day. I asked about cost which the provider said she wasn't sure (big surprise) but wouldn't be much and insurance should cover it anyway. First of all it was close to 3 days before I got results and was already feeling better at that point. When I called to get an update after 48 hours I was told it could take up to 72 hours. So that was the first miscommunication. The second and worst is that the lab they sent to are 3rd party...not their lab as I was told. They have no ties to the billing and just hand you off to them to bill you whatever they see fit. They ran an insane amount of completely unnecessary tests that $1214.05. Insurance does not cover these tests because they found them to be medically unnecessary, which they were. I am assuming that instead of spending the time to decide exactly what tests should have been requested based on my specific case they chose to send a free for all and have them test for everything under the sun. I had request to have the break down of the bill sent to me (not easy) and then research what each test meant and understand the codes. I won't go into too much detail on my finding except to say that 90% of the tests should not have been done and some were billed/coded to be redundant resulting in excess charges. While I find the billing practices of the lab (Phase 2 Labs) unethical, I also hold Physicians Urgent Care responsible for lack of disclosure and overall careless in their testing practices. My advice is to take the time to ask more thorough questions when they offer to send any testing off to the labs. Mainly what exactly are the tests and why they are suggesting them. Maybe that will give them pause to think that maybe each test that their patients will be charged for should be applicable to the person.

At no point did anyone in the office explain that this change in coding would lead to additional charges. When I checked in, the receptionist even took my credit card information and assured me it would not be charged since the visit should be covered. Later, I received a surprise bill anyway. When I called their billing support team for clarification, they offered no help and made no effort to resolve the issue. This lack of transparency and accountability -- from the front desk to billing -- left me feeling misled and frustrated. Patients deserve clear communication about costs and honest assistance when problems arise, but this office failed on both fronts.

I was not welcomed when I entered the lobby but instead the front desk clerk said, "Our computers are down so I cannot check you in." with a frown and a grunt. I waited and waited, observing that indeed their system was back up. I approached the desk with my ID and insurance card but she flatly told me "you have to complete all the forms online and you did not do that..." No, I did not do that because I would rather fill out the forms with old fashioned pen and ink. When I stated that she went in the back to get the Nurse Practitioner who told me I was being 'rude and obnoxious'? Huh? I am 60 years old, I have numerous advanced educational degrees and was not feeling too great. No other clients were in the lobby. I said "I did not come here to fight with you, I just want to be seen..." She didn't care. I was told to behave better or I would be ejected from their facilities! Well, I filled out the form, gave my payment to the clerk and clicked the pen on the counter. Wrong thing to do! Apparently I clicked the pen rudely. Those 2 whispered and huddled together and I was told to leave! I have been previously to this same facility with no problems. Staff and management change? I went over the the Ascension Urgent Care on Memorial Blvd and had a very pleasant experience, which greatly improved my day. Oh, by the way, they thought I was very sweet!

One nurse took my blood pressure, about 5 minutes later about nurse came in to give me the test. She was very nice, asked a few questions.. swabbed the inside of my nose and checked the back of my throat. She said results should come back about 48 hours. I know it was already about 7:30pm when I finished. Their office closes at 8pm. The lady at the front desk did not give an invoice when I left. I give this location 3 stars for overall experience. It was a very clean lobby area but it did not feel welcoming.

The location is new so it still has a pristine appearance. We were the only patients there so able to get in and out in about 30-35 minutes. Certainly will consider going here again if needed as it is convenient to home and open after pediatric clinic closes.

The only reason I was here, instead of at my PCP, was due to no appointment availability for a few days. The care I received was unsatisfactory, and after hearing the tech talking to the doctor, outside my room, about needing a refresher on the proper way to give my injection, I won't be going back.
