I went in to have tires rotated. Employee at desk seemed strangely unfriendly or agitated, but otherwise was unremarkable (for anyone who has lived in eastern mass) until I went to offer him my keycard. I asked if he knew how to use it, very benign question, not all cars are unlocked similarly and mine was not intuitive. . You can only imagine my surprise when he then screamed "I know these cars we inspect them F you get out of here" and stormed into the back of the garage. Yelled back and forth. Was bad enough filed a police report. It was without a doubt, the most bizarre behavior I've ever seen from a garage or really any business. Reflected on how I Asked the question about the key card it was not condescending in any way. Maybe just one unstable or burned out employee but Would steer clear of this garage there are many alternatives within two miles. Have almost never posted a review with google reviews. Looking at all negative posts I'm sure the owner will write something snarky about how was all my fault. read more

Phenomenal work! Sam and Wally rushed my car to be fixed in just two days. I had a huge dent in my car and didn't want to order a new part . They completely repaired it and made it look brand new. On Feb. 17/2020, Audi Q7 changed battery-- the parts called Insterstate Battery MTP 49H6, by Minuteman Automotive. On Jan. 25/2021, my car failed to ignite engine. Hence, I called AAA which towed my car to Concord Mobile, MA 01742 to repair. The repair shop did diagnose NO Start condition. It turned out what they found is the battery dead. To my surprise, the battery is less than one year. And I was told it covers two year warranty. As a result, to Minuteman, I intended to understand warranty issue. What they found is the installed battery was way out of the warranty time. When I show them the receipt indicating they did Feb. 17/2020. At this time, I found these crooks uncovered hideous natures-- abhorrent towards me, keep saying why you did not fix your car here. It is completely irrelevant issue. The issue is how dare you do such dishonest thing to customer by installing the used battery to my car at the first time, which caused me $619.44 bill for repairing, towing, without car for one day. Then, I said battery should be covered by warranty time any way. What to my another surprise, being coward in nature, they throwed another used battery to me. Lied again keep saying a brand new one--which is so dirty, out of shape. Timid, they can't show me the brand new the receipt. When I kept asking for warranty if this is the brand new battery. They declined to offer -- because I knew, they knew it is fake -- manifesting these crooks--unscrupulous, dirty business men. It will be never over... read more

Loved this place! Convenient and easy! Until we purchased a car there. Specifically asked about head gasket issues, was told all Subaru's leak, ‍. Well apparently ours really leaks. We asked about a repair and were told better to replace the engine. We have called multiple times to get the work done and we have been ghosted...... SHAME ON THEM! We have had the car for 1 year! I usually give this shop two thumbs up but unfortunately was left pretty disappointed this past month with their service or lack there of. After Christmas, they looked at my car and diagnosed the engine issue. They then ordered the parts gas cap and verge. I called them once a week for two weeks asking them what the progress was on getting the parts. On the second week, they said the part was lost in the mail Today was the three week mark. The guy said, "they would not give the part to him". He said I could get the parts and they could put it on so I said, I will need to go to a shop that is able to fix my car. I then proceeded to ask if they had any recommendations but at that point they hung up the phone. This was a big let down for me. I drive people in need around at my job. I need a safe vehicle for them and myself and driving around for an extended period of time with engine issues is not good. As a single person in human services, I am limited as to where I can bring my car as I need to be punctual at work so location of the shop really mattered when choosing them. They did excellent in the past. Better communication on their part would have made a difference this time. They need to communicate with multiple places in order to get the part until they found a place that would have supplied the part. They also need to kindly update their customers through the process. read more

I have never had anyone correctly diagnose a problem with my car over the phone before I finished explaining it but Kieth did! In the several times I have had to bring my car here, he has repeatedly done right by doing the work appropriately and not trying to charge me for unnecessary work. I continue to love this place. I went there yesterday to get an oil change -- turned out my radiator was leaking. I had no idea. It was 230pm on a Friday and I think the mechanics wanted to go home and could've gone home -- no other customers -- but when Wally heard I lived 20 mins away (I go out of my way to use this shop) he said he couldn't let me drive that distance, not in the shape my car was in. He managed to get a radiator delivered by about 4, and they had me on the road by 5 ... and the charge, with oil change, was $250. I really trust and like Wally, Sam, and all here. (And I like Nashoba Brook Bakery across the street -- they have a lovely spot along the brook in the back. Yesterday I walked up the brook and saw a mother duck and her tiny baby ducklings while I waited.) read more

I went there a few times. The only down side is that I got an oil change there two times and each time my car sprung an oil leak. This is really unfortunate. They said oil coming out is not a big deal, but that is not the case and they were responsible to do an effective oil change and as I asked look for leaks. Hopefully there will be a better experience in the future. read more

There were spots on my driveway, my 2008 Fusion S had a transmission code coming up on the code scanner. I had just moved back to the area after spending years in Reading, MA. Who do I go to? Fire up Yelp and found Minuteman Auto in my old hometown neighborhood of West Concord. Set up and appointment with them to take a look at the car and limped the beast over the next day. Brought it in and they pulled the car in after a 30 minute wait for other cars ahead of me to clear the bay. Now I wait...Keith strolls in and announces my name I get up and he says "Come on out to the bay and I'll show you what's going on." I was pleased, shops who had mechanics and services like this were usually really good. He brings me under my car on the lift and before he said anything I looked and went "Damn. I was hoping it wasn't the transmission lines up front. All the road salt rotted them out huh?" He then knew I was a guy who generally repairs my own car and grinned- told me that the rear lines were in awesome shape and just the fronts needed replacing. I took a look at the rears with him and they were new from a transmission rebuild three years ago. I got a Kia Redondo Loaner with an 1/8th tank of gas- I shrugged and drove off. I filled it up a bit more gas and was on my way- at least they had a loaner! Later that day the car was done and I was on my way. Fair prices, excellent customer service, and an awesome mechanic. No problems other than the usual stupid Ford ones (electrical) since. I highly recommend this shop. read more

They do good work (as far as I can tell) at fair prices, but something relatively small tends to go wrong - seemingly just for me based on the glowing reviews here. They also need to work on how they respond to customer complaints, which typically amounts to "it's not our fault" or worse (keep reading). After three separate service experiences on two different cars, none of which resulted in a trouble-free experience, I won't take my business there any more. And honestly, I can't say that I think they really care. The problems I've had include: The first service, they underestimated the cost to replace brake pads and rotors by more than $100. I paid the charge in full without complaint, although they knew I was frustrated. The second service, they dinged one alloy wheel during a tire rotation, which the shop manager refused to take responsibility for, but the owner offered to fix it. I didn't take him up on it because I couldn't be without my car for the 2 days or more it would take to get the wheel fixed. The third service, they forgot to leave my key in my car as I asked them to so I could pick it up after hours, so I ended up having to wait an hour for the owner to come get my key. (Luckily I was able to find a way to reach him and luckily he came to help me.) They offered a small refund which I didn't think was sufficient, after which the owner said how much he was inconvenienced by coming to help and accused me of "blackmail" for wanting a more significant refund. Adding insult to injury is no way to treat a repeat customer. read more

This place saved my bacon. I had been told by a Jeep dealership that I needed a new engine for $8,500. Minuteman was able to buy me some time with some additives and get the job done for under $2,500 with a rebuilt engine with a good warranty. Keith was great at explaining exactly what was wrong and needed to be fixed in layman's terms. I highly recommend you give them shot. read more

I live out toward Boston and drive to Concord to get my car worked on. LOVE KEITH and this business! More than fair in so many ways. My Dad has actually been going for years, I have been twice now and have nothing but wonderful things to stay. Keith is VERY fair, attentive, and he bends over backwards for customers. Sadly this hard to find nowadays. They are in a great easy location in West Concord. Very close to the rotary and Rt 2. If you need to drop your car for a bit, there are plenty of shopping and cafe spots in W Concord to relax at. The office has a TV and sitting area. Thank you, Keith! I had an electrical issue with my windshield wipers on a rainy day, so I pulled into the shop confused and expecting big fees on labor and replacement parts. The mechanic dug around for twenty minutes, explained the issue was nearly impossible to find, but gave me tips on how to manage it - and refused to charge me. Do not buy a car here. Terrible cars. And the workers are dubious at best. No certifications at all. Most are xcons or addicts. The owner is a snake oil salesman whose business practices are questionable at best. Do not do business here unless you have money to waste. I went in to check out vehicles. I drove 3 and all had some sort of problem. The mechanics do not know what they are doing and just play it by air. I went in and eventually bought a vehicle and it was the biggest mistake i ever made. Within one week i mechanical problems. I tried to get that rectified but till this day im still trying. They do just enough to get the car going and then once you leave the lot u r screwed. Take my advice if u see these guys run away. Dont walk. Run! I would never reccomend them to anyone. read more

I went in for the first (and last!) time last week for an annual inspection. I was told I needed to remove a rear license plate frame. It had passed several inspections, but I was happy to remove it to ensure I passed and avoided a pretty dumb ticket. I offered to remove it myself, as I had put it on, but the guy said he could do it. However, I noticed the next time I drove that, rather than simply removing the screws to take off the frame, he ripped off the (metal) frame without bothering with the screws. So besides wrecking the frame, he also popped the head off one of the screws, leaving my license plate hanging on by a single screw. I bet that's a bigger ticket than a frame partially blocking the word "Massachusetts". Another guy had to drill a third hole in my rear hatch to secure the license plate properly. And as a final insult, they lost my keys in the ten minutes it took to do this and acted like it was my fault. No, thanks! That means there is no longer a reputable inspection station in West Concord, but it's worth driving some to get better service (and have your car in the same number of pieces it came in with). read more

I love this place!!! I've been bringing my car here for the last year or so, and I couldn't be happier. I don't know very much about cars, and I suspect that because of this, I've been taken advantage of in the past at other places. The first time I brought my car into Minuteman, it was for an oil change, as well as to get a second opinion on a few things (another shop had recommended I get about $300 worth of work done). My oil change was much more affordable than at other places I've been to, and I was informed that the other shop had been dishonest about needing work done. Thank goodness I didn't waste my money at the other place!!! I just brought my car here last week for new brakes, an oil change, and a detail. The price was again excellent, the car runs beautifully, and it's never been cleaner!!! The guys who work at this shop are professional, experienced, HONEST, and really nice. I always have a bunch of questions about my car, and the guys spend a lot of time going over everything with me and helping me understand what's going on. I won't bring my car anywhere else. I recommend Minuteman to everyone in the area who needs work done, they do an awesome job. read more

Having just moved into the area I was not sure where to go. After looking at the reviews I decided to give this place a try. Wow. Great service with amazing, down to earth people. They will clearly explain what you need and are not out to cheat you. I am truly grateful for their work and service, and they even offered to drive me and pick me up from work the day my car was being worked on.
