We had the requirement for designing and printing 300 programs for a memorial service where we expected over 250 guests. The programs were outstanding to the smallest detail. Came in on a tuesday night at 4:43pm. I knocked on the door as the "open" sign was on. The gentleman unlocked the door and as I told him I had some card designs I wanted him to look at on my computer, he told me he was about to close and asked if I would come back tomorrow. Like why have business hours till 5pm.... whatever. I came back the next day around noon, new person woking, told him about the files on my computer, however he said he couldn't look a them and needed to have there designer look at them. He gave me the card with the email address to email me them the files, so I did. No reply to the email, no customer service. I went to Sign King the next day and they took my files on the spot and I had a proof within 15 minutes ..... takes notes "Minuteman" .... zero for customer service. read more

I found out Minuteman Press are franchise locations. While they all bear the same name, not all locations hold themselves to the same high standards, attention to detail and care for customer satisfaction as this specific Poway location. Needing a Sample poster done on a specific paper stock for client approval done last minute, I contacted 4 other Minuteman Press locations, that were much closer in convenience to me, that displayed no interest in accommodating a job that would require hustle. I needed the paper stock sample to show a client for approval before ordering in bulk. The Mission Valley Location (whom i will never consider again or recommend despite being 2 miles from me) called me the day my sample was suppose to be completed, only to tell me they were unable to get it done and offered no solution to their missed deadline. Scrambling, i called every other Minuteman Press location to see if there was anyway they could accommodate my last minute request. Every single Minuteman location in San Diego all said the same thing -- Their printer was down. Thats like a pizza joint saying they're out of dough. The last call I made was to the Poway location 25miles away where I spoke to Kumar and explained to him my urgency & need. I called Kumar 12pm on a Friday (one hour after Mission Valley flaked) and by 4pm that afternoon I had my sample. Kumar went out and bought the requested paper stock that he did not have in house, and printed me a sample so i had something to show my client that weekend. He did it all in good faith in retaining my business. After showing the sample to my client, it was decided that we needed a thinner paper stock & by Tuesday the following week, Kumar guided me toward the right paper stock for what our needs were, produced another sample & my client was so impressed with the quality & care, he decided to order 4x the quantity amount than originally planned. My client is an artist who wanted his art displayed on 18x24" posters using a paper stock that wasn't too thick or too thin. Quality in print, guidance & customer service is of the highest value to us. Kumar & the Poway location exceeded those expectations by even going above and beyond to show us examples on plexiglass and metal platforms, at no charge, to display how great the art would look on other platforms. He earned a customer for life & I'm proud as all hell to tell anyone that needs print work done to contact Kumar at the Minuteman Press location in Poway! Don't waste your time calling the other locations--their printers will likely be down if its an urgent need. Call Kumar and he'll take care of you. read more

Background: We had to do a complete rewrite of our biotech, a product based company website.
