It was my first time using JRC printing today and I have to say it was one wonderful experience. I called larre to see how much they charged for printing baby shower invites an he was very helpful over the phone an cheaper than everywhere else. He told me to email him what I wanted an he had a sample of each card when I walked in. Most places take forever even days to print invites but he was able to print out 100 invitations as well as 100 diaper raffle tickets in less then 10/15 mins. They came out perfect! Larre did an amazing job, the color on the invites an raffle tickets were bright an just what I wanted! He even cut the raffle tickets to save me time at home an had envelopes ready to fit the size of my invites. I will definitely be using them again for future birthday invites an other printing needs. read more

i called jrc print last week to get an estimate and the owner, larre was very impatient and rude over the phone. I just assumed he was busy or was having a bad day but wanted to get an estimate on printing wedding invitations and rsvp cards. He gave me a quote (that was on the higher side- but assumed quality and efficiency was going to be excellent) but i had asked him to give me his thoughts on different stock options. He said he would email me and never followed through, instead wrote me an email with higher pricing. Following up from that email, he wrote me again saying he found his notes and that the price he had quoted me on the phone would be the price he would give me. So I went to him to see a test print and placed my order. To my surprise, he got done with the prints a lot faster BUT THEY WERE SO SLOPPY. He was going to charge me $2 per each invitation card just for print, and the ends were cut with etch marks, and the card was not proportioned. The pdf i sent him had crop marks with bleed but they were all cut diagonally and the ends with flaking off. When i addressed this to him POLITELY in person, he lost his temper and told me "forget it" and threw my invoice in the trash. It pissed him off that I was addressing some cards to be reprinted due to his mistake!! WORST customer experience ever. I told him, not to be so upset and that I would just like some prints to be reprinted since they weren't to the quality they should be,... and instead he told me to get out and that he didn't want to do business with me. I am still shocked at his manner and service. If he wants to treat his customers this way- he shouldn't run a business. I will never recommend this place to anyone. AWFUL! read more

I have been using JRC for over 10 years and travel 20 minutes past other copy centers because they are so worth it. JRC charges far less for color copying than other places AND their colors are actually what they should be (unlike at a big name copy place that tried and tried but failed to get my colors right and charged 3x more than JRC). Their customer service is also far superior. I can't tell you how many times they have gone above and beyond, helping me with a major project like school yearbooks by fixing problems with multiple pages of the file, helping me figure out the best paper to use for our Christmas programs, working after hours to print a big project in time for my deadline, etc. Even just last week, I came in a few minutes before closing on Friday with copying I wanted done on the spot (my fault for getting there so late), and instead of rushing me out the door when it turned 4:30, Shawn made sure my needs were taken care of and didn't make me feel like I was annoying him for coming in so last minute. When I tried to thank him profusely, he just said, "You're family!" They even took amazing care of a friend of mine who had only used them once before. She was trying to print color pages for a school project and thought she'd save time by going to her local print shop (she lives in San Marcos). She told me that the prints came out terribly and that she had paid way more for them than at JRC. I told her to just call Larre and see what he could do (even though the deadline to turn in her pages was like that day and she couldn't get to the shop in Poway in time). Larre had her email the file, figured out a way for her to pick up her prints after the store closed, and even gave her an incredible discount because he knew she had already lost out money on the bad prints from the other place. Now that really is treating others like family! I love JRC and highly recommend them! (And no, I am totally not related to anyone who works here or know them outside of the store. But they really do make me feel at home. :) read more

First time using JRC for architectural documents and publication printing. I heard they do a lot of work for the City of Poway Planning department, and met deadlines without compromising quality. Shawn Davis runs the shop now, backed with years of experience and great customer service. He was able to exceed my expectations, and walked me through the various print options they offer. Contacted the owner Larre Schlarmann. Must have called him on a bad day. I got all kinds of off the wall accusations and strong language from him. When I tried to explain myself, I got more accusations about being rude. (Rude? I was not the one cussing up a storm) In the end, he made a few more rude comments and hung up on me. Had we been standing before a judge in any court of law, he would have had to post bail for contempt of court. I do not think I would deal with Mr. Schlarmann in the future for any other planned events. To be fair, I have heard that the staff are exemplary and a pleasure to deal with. read more

I had such a great experience here! I first went to Staples up the street to get some programs printed for my wedding. After about an hour, the girl was still unable to to help me with what I needed. I decided to try JRC because it was right down the street. From the minute I got in there I knew the guy there would be able to help. Shawn helped me though design and making sure the ink color was perfectly matched to my wedding colors. I am so happy with the outcome! The programs are PERFECT!! I am so relieved that I found this place! I was getting quotes for $192 plus tax (Kinkos/FedEx) and $222 with tax (Postal Connections) for a 240 page (480 sides) color print job that JRC did for $93 plus tax! And he bent over backwards for me! He happened to be in the shop on an early Saturday morning, the store was closed, but he let me e-mail my job to him and it was ready for me by the time I got there less than a half hour later. My fiance' and I just received our Wedding Invitaitions from JRC Print and they are just gorgeous!!! I was referred to this company by a girlfriend of mine that had her invitations done here. We had the pleasure of being helped by Larre Schlarmann who was so easy and wonderful to work with. I told him the things we wanted/needed in an invitation and he created AND designed the most unique invitation I have ever seen, and SO happy to say that it is ours! It has 5 tiers and layed out perfectly on classy linen card stock. He even made us smaller return RSVP cards for our guests to send back and announcements to send after the wedding to the family we unfortunately couldn't invite. It was really nice to be able to do everything over email because I am not so close to their location and so busy with planning the wedding, work, etc. that email and Larre made my life so much easier! I really love that fact that he sends you proofs until you are satisfied! :) He took the order and completed it within less than a week (I'm sure it would have been sooner but I was finalizing details for the invitation). Awesome service, awesome price, awesome print quality. Took a project to fedex office and the quality was horrible! They couldn't match up the colors even after 10 try's. Then they wanted to charge me almost $2000! Thankfully I found JRC down the street and they gave me a fair price for quality prints.
