I called to ask about a single manual printing and binding. The receptionist gave me a qoute and asked how many, and I said it was only for 1 manual of approximately 90 pages . She quoted a price, checked with her supervisor and said "he said he's available now", to which I confirmed address and left. I couldn't find the office at first, (hidden behind trees) the receptionist told me she would look to see if I was outside. up to do this and just but she hung up to fo so, & evidently went on with her day. She didn't ask me to hold or what I looked like and then didn't call me back. Um okay, RUDE. When I did find the office, I asked if they offer a computer to access the University I'm attending to pull up the manual. When she went to ask "him" he leans around the corner and instead of greeting or being professional, he simply starts negatively saying how they are a bulk printing company, go try Office Depot. Yeah, no kidding there is Office Depot, but WHY wouldn't that information have been passed on originally? My time is also very valuable. I don't usually write reviews, but I am compelled to write a few words for these guys. I had to get some wedding invitations printed out, and even though the quantity wasn't alot, they treated me just as importantly. They printed a proof for me on several different types of paper. Print time was super fast. They had the prints ready within the day I ordered them. On a few of the prints, the design of the invitation had been slightly cut off, so when I asked them to re-print a few, they swiftly got it done for me and even added a few more prints to make up for the mistake. I was able to pick up the reprints within the hour. They are friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend these guys. *quick note: if you look them up as "Replica Printing" on google maps, you will get 2 locations - the one right next to the 15, off of Erma Rd is not where you want to go if you need to go to where the printers are. a minute ago Unfortunately, Replica ( Poway location, not Miramar) said they accidentally shredded a hand drafted blueprint for my portfolio. Hand drafted architectural drawings take about 60-70 hours of drawing time, blood, sweat, and tears as an architecture grad student. I let the employee know up front the things to look out for prior to copying the portfolio, and that I was submitting this as my final portfolio for graduation. I wanted to support small, local businesses, especially during the pandemic, so I went here for professional printing services instead of going through a big box printing company. Customer service rep: Francesca. She said that she would have to charge me additional for having to fix it and said I was already getting a 10% student discount. I was appalled and so sad that I could not even speak. I walked out feeling a weight that my portfolio was mishandled and not treated with care by the employee here. They also do not bind the portfolio the way other printing companies do from my experience at other places. The good news is that my professor was understanding when I explained the disaster that Replica was unapologetic about, and I graduated with an "A" in the course. This is a case where the great reviews don't apply. I hope they learn their lesson and realize the value in every customer. What goes around, comes around, if they don't. I reached out to several companies for price quotes and explained what I was looking for. I went back and forth a bit with them all as we narrowed down our vision of the product. Although Replica wasn't the cheapest, we quickly decided to go with them based off the service and good communication/feedback. I've been dealing with Michael and he's been awesome across the board - understanding what we're looking for, explaining the products and process, quick replies to all of our questions, and everything else you expect from a great company. I like that they offer free proofs on most orders/products. My boss is very particular about anything we make to give to our clients and potential customers, so this helps immensely, being able to actually hold, feel and see the outcome. Lastly, they have a quick turnaround. We were getting down to the wire with an upcoming tradeshow, and we were able to complete the design and have everything printed in time, in addition to getting a proof.
