Delicious! What a fantastic space. Went for restaurant week they had a great menu selection. It was very hard to pick. I had the duck tacos, roasted chicken and sticky toffee pudding. Everything was delicious. The dessert was amazing. I will be back.

Date night out, and decided to come back to this place again. Got to sit in a different area this time, nice and open and beautiful fireplace. Some decorations were up for the holidays but not everything yet. For an appetizer my husband and I shared a 1/2 plate of Casadecce pasta which was delicious. Easily could be a main meal. For dinner, I had the roasted chicken breast and my husband had the Mirabele Duck Duo. Both great dishes but too much onion with the chicken. I highly recommend to ask for light onion, unless you're a fan. Could have had more potatoes too. Otherwise both dishes were scrumptious. We skipped dessert as nothing was appealing for us. Overall, was still a pretty nice meal and I'm sure we will be back again.

We were here for a cocktail party, pre-wedding day for my cousin. The venue is lovely, the bar is a bit dark which just think was supposed to make to more of an intimate ambiance but really just strains eyes while looking at menus. A small group of us had gathered around one of the high top tables and again, likely for intimate ambiance, but there was not as many chairs as there could have been here. And despite our waiter being really nice, I was a bit surprised they didn't offer to bring over more chairs when seeing my sister-in-law standing at the table. The menu offers two mocktails, both of which my sister-in-law chose and we all tried. The black berry jam was less a mocktail and more just straight juice. Which if that's your thing do order this one, but if you were expecting something more....virgin drink type, skip this one and order the other one. It's much better. We ate light here and opted to have a full dinner elsewhere, but my sister-in-law ordered the warm goat cheese on toast and my brother, mom and I opted on the fish and chips which the waiter told us was a favorite. The goat cheese on toast was not what I expected, this was a salad with a side, single piece of thick cut and toasted sourdough with a round chunk of warm goat cheese. I can't really express enough how giant a ball of goat cheese this way and how it looked. Now, visuals aside, my sister-in-law said it was good. The salad was tasty with the mustard vinaigrette which leaned more to the mustard side and was made better with the goat cheese mixed in. The fish and chips were as served with three pieces of fried fish over a bed of fries and Yukon chips, a wedge of lemon and a side of tartar sauce and ketchup. Considering the cost of this dish, this was a total pass with the only really good item being the fries. Even with tartar sauce and lemon the fish was just bland from batter to fish inside. The Yukon chips actually soak up the lemon and turn soggy so watch where you squeeze the wedge. The chips (fries) were seasoned just enough to be appealing and held up to lemon juice really well. Next time I think it may be better to just order the fries. All in all, lovely bar, nice staff, over priced for the quality.

Love this hidden gem in town. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is nice. The outdoor seatings are so beautiful and the service is very good and attentive.

    Mirabelle Duck Duo*

Mirabelle is a very nice, historic location, and cozy spot for dinner, we went here a few weeks ago when it was time to try a new restaurant, and we had a relaxing and enjoyable evening. The dining room was very comfortable, and the decor was upscale and charming. Had a nice table next to the wall, and the server who was taking care of us was just 18 years old, but he had a good head on his shoulders and made great conversation. The food was also very good, I remember the soup was delicious, the main (the duck) was good, but could have been better, and the desert was a sweet ending. I do also remember that I had 2 drinks off the menu, the first one was fine, the second one was god awful, but the restaurant saved itself by making a new one and no charging on the bad drink. So be wary of the bartenders. They had the choice of a Pre Fixe menu which we went for, and it worked out well. If I could give a half star this would be a 3.5 but it leans 4 because of accommodating on things that needed correction. We had a good time here, and I do recommend for people looking for a nice dinner spot in Stony Brook.

    Traditional Steak Tartare*

Mirabelle is a cozy upscale restaurant in Stony Brook. The food has some really stand out dishes and some average dishes. Of the starters, I really enjoyed the Foie Gras and steak tartare - the foie gras had a nice texture and the tartare was fresh and flavorful. We also tried the asparagus and mushroom salad and the burrata salad. Both were light and refreshing. Of the mains, the duck was okay. The glaze was good but the meat was not infused well with flavors. I tried the scallops which was hearty and well cooked but a bit too salty for my liking. The desserts were really ordinary or just weird. The affogato was completely melted ice cream in the coffee served in a glass with a very tiny amount... you had to drink it because the spoons would not reach. The keylime pie was very buttery in the crust and far too sweet. The sorbet was refreshing but nothing out of the ordinary. The profiteroles (like cream puffs) were actually enjoyable but messy to eat with the chocolate sauce. The ginger almond tart was very sweet, brittle, and gritty. Service was a bit slow and the restaurant was not crowded. Additional notes from friends who dined here: The drinks are strong and the oysters were very fresh and tasty.

My partner and I had a wonderful Valentine's Day evening at Mirabelle! Each course was absolutely delicious, the bacon wrapped filet mignon was BEYOND!!! The cooks obviously know what they're doing! Our waitress Alexis was a sweetheart too, making sure everything was good and we were happy :) Overall a romantic evening with amazing food, I couldn't have asked for more!

I've enjoyed my experience is here every time we sit. That's what it's all about right? There's an elevated level of expectations when you dine here. Been here several times, and even have visited this restaurant when it was in St. James. One of the times we've been here we actually got engaged so this restaurant holds a special nostalgia for us no doubt. Mirabelle is at the Three Village inn which was built in the 1750s, set in the beautiful and quiet Stony Brook area. They do very well to maintain as much historic originality and charm making for a really unique experience. The restaurant has been under the direction of executive chef Guy Reuge, although I do believe he may be stepping back a bit but is still offering his expertise. What we ordered: Appetizer: Flammkuchen: this is flatbread with bacon and onions. I actually have some criticism on this. This was some thing that we could've done without, really nothing to get excited about. Raw oysters: Oysters were fresh and received from a local distributor. Drinks: The Mirabelle Smoked Harbor Road Generously made and flavorful. We had multiple. Kids: Pasta marinara, Kobe sliders, and a side a broccolini. The kids will eat good here that's for sure. No frozen nonsense, fresh and delicious. The sliders were cooked a perfect medium, the pasta was flavorful that any adult would enjoy and the broccolini was very good as well. Dinner: Halibut Loin of lamb Amazing! What thoughtful insight into creating these dishes! Expertly crafted, careful selection of ingredients, and cooked to perfection. Again the expectations are high, and these two entrées did not disappoint. The halibut was robust in flavor and Hardy for a fish dish. The lamb was seasoned perfectly and cooked to a perfect temperature. Absolutely amazing. You're going to find the staff to be professional and accommodating. Services prompt and on point. I recommend this place for their food, charm, and location.

We read a recent review where someone proclaimed the owner to be nasty & unfriendly (sure, I am paraphrasing). Those types of reviews are generally emotionally charged and written by plebs I find. More on that toward the end. Pulling up to a rather unassuming east end Long Island small shopping plaza drenched in rain; opening the door, you are taken back to a semi rustic and dim interior. Perfectly elegant in its bucolic charm- with nice lounge music playing. It is a sit where one likes atmosphere. This is meant with the utmost of respect and candour. We were greeted kindly by the proprietoress (Jacqueline), and handed pleasantly robust binders with the wine list and food. Deciding to treat this in the more European café type, we had glasses and charcuterie. I, the Sagrantino, and her the Kerner. Jacqueline was vocally pleased with our interesting choices. The night drew on, more wine ensued, more food, multiple conversations, and I completed reading through each page and wine choice...finding much to be recognised and appreciated (Kirwan, Moric, Georg Breuer to name but a few) At the end of the night, I asked Jacqueline to pick an appropriate nightcap. She not only delivered, but gave us a wonderful story including the provenance and her experiences - ultimately, the word genius came up more than once. To wit, there was nothing here but an exceptional experience with a like-minded wine enthusiast. I felt welcomed and in the frith of old kin. Nasty, belligerent, dullard atmosphere- indeed not. I spoke to a woman in the bathroom and she said even if you don't have a reservation, you can always find a spot on the grass or chairs. There's plenty of room to hang out. Our server Les was incredible! You can tell when you have a great experienced waiter that is truly good at their job and love what they do! Pay him whatever he wants and never let him go! He truly made the dining experience above and beyond. I ordered the Sauvignon Blanc and he asked me if I wanted a glass or a bottle and I told him I couldn't drink a bottle because I had to drive home. He told me if I was gonna have two glasses. It would end up being about equal to the bottle price and that I could take the rest of the wine home! What a nice surprise, and the fact that he pointed out made me feel like he goes above and beyond for his customers! Now let's talk about the food! I was in a party of three and they had ordered the appetizer sandwich for the table which was gigantic! Both of the other guests love the sandwich, but I didn't try it because I do not like prosciutto. The truffle chips were fantastic; I'm still thinking about them and I didn't even know I liked truffle! I ate 90% of them. The portions are massive but in a good way because the food is exceptional! One guest was so full from the sandwich that she opted to not order an entrée I ordered the margarita flatbread and it had to be over a foot and a half long. I ended up taking half home and my husband ate it and said it was delicious as well. The other guest ordered the meatballs and I tasted them and they were quite delicious. By the time the meal was over we left with half a sandwich half a flatbread and some extra meatballs. For dessert: we got a llimoncello flute and I got the largest lemon beautifully presented with lemon sorbet! I told us I don't usually take pictures of my food, but this was photo worthy! The wine was one of my favorite Sauvignon Blanc that I've ever had in my life! We will definitely go back for the food and definitely will be purchasing the wine again! 4/5 food 10/5 for the service and ambience Thank you for a wonderful experience on a beautiful afternoon! They don't take reservations. After about 10 minutes my friend and I plus 3 teens (my kids and a friend) were starving and Schnitzels was loud and crowded. We headed a few doors down to Sweet Mama's. Seated immediately. My friend and I shared the steak with penne dinner special and a Cobb salad with grilled chicken. My daughter ordered penne with butter off the kids menu. My son got a turkey burger and his friend got a grilled chicken sandwich on a hero instead of a wrap. Now the good -- portions were huge! My son could barely fit his burger in his mouth and it also had a half avocado on it. They didn't skimp. Steak with penne was delicious and so was the Cobb salad. We all shared off each other's plates because everything looked so amazing. Now the bad. My daughter's pasta was elbows, not penne as indicated on the menu. Not a catastrophe but she was looking forward to penne. Then - my son's friend put some ketchup on his plate for his fries. It was ,.. not red but brown. The bottle had an 8/25 expiration. We are in April 2026. We told the server and she said it's because it's the "simply ketchup" with no artificial dyes. She offered him ketchup packets "with fake dyes" but by that point he lost his appetite for fries. We grabbed ketchup from another table, same brand, Heinz Simply. You can see the difference in color. We showed the server and she acted annoyed. I told her we didn't want anyone getting sick on that ketchup and pointed out the expiration date. She rolled her eyes and said "oh I'll just throw it away." She kind of had an attitude and didn't even apologize. So that's why 4 stars. We'd go back but request not to have that server. The food is fantastic but watch your ketchup! If someone put it on a burger it would have been ruined.
