I did not want to report this to my insurance company to have my rates increase for an accident I did not cause. The first quote I got from a local shop in West Hartford was for $2,000 to fix the repairs (keep in mind the book value of the car is $3500) After telling the second shop that I really only wanted the bare bones done to make the car functional as I was going to pay out of pocket and planning to give it to my daughter who is turning 16 this year, they quoted me $3000 to get the car "functional." I then took it to T&J where they quoted me $890! Thats a huge difference! They were willing to work with me, listened to what I was looking for and offered GREAT service. They were able to find used parts which saved me money which the other shops didnt seem willing to do. I dropped the car off in the morning and they had a shuttle to bring me to and from work, and they were EARLY and waiting for me to pick me up from my office after work!
