He explained that the original cellular shades could not be retro-fitted to be motorized, so we would have to buy new sets. No problem - and totally understandable! Rommel was very patient and thorough with his explanation of why and working with us to understand our project. We ended up purchasing four sets of shades for our primary bedroom to cover two large windows with a two-layer, motorized system of black-out and light-filtering cellular shades. Rommel's installation team (Rene and Martin) were amazing - super fast, diligent, and competent! They also moved the original set of cellular shades we had to our living room, which meant we didn't lose them after all! They also updated the cord pulls for the original set, which we appreciated. The motorized shades have been such a wonderful addition to our master bedroom! We love the total darkness it provides for sleeping in -- and the automatic scheduler to lower / raise the shades as well has proven very convenient. We are VERY pleased with this upgrade. Never once did I feel rushed. Tony and Sean are the BEST! They know their stuff. They took all the guess work out of picking window coverings for my home. They are such an absolute joy to work with. I needed to replace window coverings in three rooms and over my slider. They came into my home. Clearly figured out my style through listening and looking at what I already had. Then they got to work presenting me with options... giving suggestions and explaining the pros and cons of each items. Once I choose the blinds, they went right to work picking out the color that would best blend with what I already had. They were absolutely fascinating to watch. They were not just saying that. When my blinds arrived, they scheduled an instal. They put them up and I was thrilled. However, they were not. Their was a tiny spot I didn't even notice. They tried to clean it to perfection. When they could not, they informed me that was unacceptable. They were ordering me new ones. I could keep the old ones until the new ones came in. They are perfectionist. When the new ones came in they came out and installed them to perfection. I love all my blinds. I thought this was to be an update on my first review and I can't find it. I'll be horrified if I never sent it. Ugh. Update: After having my blinds for three months, I went to sit in my recliner and it did the strangest thing. It tipped back and ripped a little hole in my new blinds. I figured I'd just have to live with it. I threw up a quick prayer, and the Holy Spirit impressed on my heart to reach out to Catalog Blinds to see if they had any way of repairing it. Tony told me they did not. However, he had totally forgotten to send back my original order. I knew then that my God was looking out for me. They would come out and install my first order at no charge to me! Upon​ arriving they saw the tiny rip and thought it was so low and unnoticeable that it would be best to keep the ones with the rip.... as well as leave me the other blinds in case the rip got worse. They would then come back and reinstall the first ones at no cost to me in the future. They would eat the difference. They just wanted me to be happy. I've never seen any two people love their jobs so much and truly want their customers happy above all else. These two were true gifts from God to me. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM ABOVE ALL OTHERS!
