She checked me in efficiently, and Martin did a battery of thorough peripheral and eyesight exams. Then I saw Dr. Sundaram who was even more thorough and had me take more tests/scans including optic nerve and cornea. She walked me through the results and went over my MRI with me, explaining what they indicated and next steps. She was factual and matter of fact, but also calmed my nerves a bit. The only reason this is a 4 star review and not 5 stars is because I had two appointments (field eye test then the consult), an hour apart. The second time I was 20 minutes early, checked in online then went to the front desk. The girl who helped me had no idea how to check me in and when I told her what Jackie did to check me in, she still looked lost and went and asked for help. Long story short, it somehow took 25 minutes for this to happen so instead of being early I ended up getting seen late. Dr. Sundaram was great and very thorough, and I would recommend her.

Dear AFC Urgent Care,…read more On July 8, 2026, at 7:15 pm, I scheduled an appointment with Urgent Care for my husband, who had been ill for approximately one week with flu symptoms, including cough, congestion, headache, body aches, and episodes of sweating. The nurse or medical assistant--I'm not sure of his title since he didn't inform us--took my husband's vital signs without wearing a mask and was seen coughing into his hand. Additionally, he did not wash his hands before or after taking my husband's vital signs. My husband's vital signs were normal. The Nurse Practitioner (NP) examined my husband's ears, throat, and chest. She acknowledged his reported symptoms but did not report any concerns after completing her physical assessment and interview. She did not order or perform a nasal swab, draw blood, collect a urine sample, or conduct a chest X-ray. Instead, she performed an EKG, which was reported as normal. Unfortunately, my husband did not receive a diagnosis or prescription. He was advised to go to the emergency room for blood work and a chest X-ray. We believe that the care he received was inadequate and that the EKG was unnecessary. I had informed the NP that my husband had recently undergone a full workup with a cardiologist, which revealed no concerns. Additionally, my husband informed the NP that he had not and was not experiencing any chest pain.

The person who…read moretook my blood started on my hand( dorsal) even though i have nice vein in my arm(ACF) i told him i went to phlebotomy school and my arm has a easy vein. So i still let him blood on my hand and it really hurts i told him to remove it. And decided to go arm its an easy vein and still no blood coming out and his hands are really shaking. Another employee went ti get blood. Decided to go hand. It hurts alot but with blood now, the way rmove the needle hurts it catched my skin. The results they told me were normal. Take note: The way how they tie the rubber or tourniquet during blood work is very wrong. He tied it like a ribbon not the correct way like quick release. I am phlebotomist and its not suppose to be like that. When i got home i called and asked to send me the results. And they said results comes out in 1 day or more. Just wondering where did they get the answer to diagnose that everything is normal? But i decided to go to ER ( tuesday) urine test is abnormal, lots of blood work results are high and low. In short this clinic doesnt seem like have an accurate results. And incompetent employees. Im completely not satisfied on my visit here i should have just went to ER and not waste my time here.

Speaking of, there's a parking next to my car right in front of the doors as I speak! Lol. The business was prompt in contacting me to schedule appts. I scheduled all 6 appts ahead of time in order to avoid booked out days, which they do get booked up pretty quickly. My first appt was my eval in which they determined my treatment plan. Everyone is so laid back & friendly, always smiles all around. They made it feel like home, as if I was working with a friend. In the most professional way possible. Making the appts go by quicker. Everyone remembers my name, or at least my face to the point where I don't need to check in. They already check me in just seeing me. Making my experience all the more personable. Everyone that I've worked with has been amazing. The equipment itself looks new & up to date. I love how they have floor to ceiling windows all along the front of the building. It brings in so much light in & makes the space feel bright, open, clean, airy, & fresh. The AC is always on & you can noticeably feel it. Which is great because everyone is basically working out & breaking a sweat. & definitely no funky smells. Lol. One treatment I initially mentioned to my doctor that I refused to do was PT. I thought they were just "exercises I can do at home." Now, 6 appts later I can definitely say those "little exercises" alleviated my pain. I feel way better coming out than I did going in. I wanted to provide additional great feedback about Julio - I met him during my initial eval appt the first time I came in. I got the chance to work with him personally 1 out of the 6 appts. He definitely goes above & beyond to make patients feel comfortable. His outgoing personality made the appts go by quicker. Which is something I needed after coming to my appts after an 8hr work shift. I work in management & Julio is someone I'd love to have on my team. Seems like he never has any bad days! Lol. & if he does, it definitely does not show in his work. Every time I've came in, he always greets me with smiles. Attitude is always "can do" & bubbly. Love his love for his little family. If you're having a bad day, expect him to make you laugh when you come in. I brought my toddler son in with me. During the appt, Julio went beyond to make my experience as comfortable as it could be with no judgement. At the end of my appt my son began getting antsy for being here too long & Julio took the initiative to help me by taking my son for a ride along as a day in the life as a PT. My son is FOUR. We even joked about them being "coworkers." Lol. Dan has also been great! He was the last person to help me with my last two appts. He was patient & welcoming. We spoke about our backgrounds & I guess we just all relate. Being that we (myself, Julio, & Dan) all trauma bonded. Lol. I asked them why were doing what they currently do... The story behind their traumas are the EXACT reason why they are the most PERFECT candidates for their position. They actually CARE, they've been through stuff, they have a passion behind the reason for their work, & they're compassionate. I highly recommend this business & the ppl who work there. If I ever in the future need PT services (hopefully I won't ever), this is the place I'd be. Thank you everyone!

I truly can't say enough good things about the doctors, the front desk staff who are always so kind and attentive, and the optical department, which always has the latest and greatest selection of glasses. My regular optometrist is Dr. K, but after my most recent visit, I felt compelled to finally write a review. I had been experiencing some vision troubles, and the front desk was able to get me in right away to see her. She was able to take a detailed look at my eye using their new imaging technology (they really do stay up-to-date with the latest technology), update my prescription, and recommend the right glasses and contacts based on my needs. I then worked with the optical department to measure and fit me for new glasses. They spent so much time helping me and genuinely cared about finding something that fit not only my prescription, but also the style and look I was going for. I was able to get my new frames so quickly, and I absolutely love how they look and feel with my new prescription! After 30 years, I can confidently say this is a practice I highly recommend. I just got a call right now to inform me that I missed an appointment. In response, I apologize sincerely and tried to explain that I thought I received a request to confirm or not confirm, I chose not to confirm. The staff person then interrupted and started to yell at me that the call was just as a courtesy and that I actively needed to go out of my way to call and cancel the appointment. I then said, that's fine, but she did not need to yell as I was in the middle of apologizing. She then lowered her voice (but did not apologize for her behavior). I explained calmly (to keep her calm) that if they needed to charge me for what they believed to be a missed appointment then it is what it is. I explained that I didn't really get any help in the two visits I went so I did not want to go back and hung up. That leads me to the medical staff who don't really do anything. I was referred to this place to get a stye removed from my eye. I show up and I'm told that the doctor is on vacation and he won't be back for another two weeks. I get some antibiotics but I realize while I'm there that they should have never told me to come in as they did not have an ophthalmologist on staff that day. The only medical professionals on staff were optometrists and nurses. Interestingly, the doctor was not forthcoming about the fact that he was an optometrist. When I arrived two weeks later, Dr. Jacobs said he did not think treatment was necessary and told me I needed to use a hot compress and sold a beaded eye mask that you can microwave. I have no problem paying for something that may help but the thought was, if this was what I needed, why didn't I get this two weeks ago instead of getting every treatment necessary so I could wear contacts again. I had also been using a warm compress regularly for several weeks. However, Dr. Jacobs insisted the eye mask was better and he was right but why did they wait to get me the mask? The last several weeks, I had been miserable because I am farsighted in one eye and nearsighted in the other so glasses cause vertigo-like symptoms, dizziness, and headaches. Anyway, when he said his opinion was to not operate, I voiced my belief that I'd rather just have the stye removed. He then said "I'll pretend I didn't hear that." Incredibly rude but I was on a mission to remove this stye that had been bothering me for over 5 weeks. After some discussion, he finally conceded that it was my call and said he wasn't sure but there may be nothing in my eye, the stye could just be skin left over from where there was fluid inside. I asked him to touch the eyelid so he could confirm that this is the right call (since he claimed he had 40 years of experience). He didn't. I could tell he didn't want to operate and I realized despite how upset I was that I wasn't going to force someone who disagreed with me to put a knife against my eye (even though he conceded it would be a very small cut that only took a few days to heal). It just wasn't worth the risk. Overall a negative experience dealing with these folks, which is sad because until now my absolute best experiences with physicians were with ophthalmologists. If you're a potential patient that's made it this far, go somewhere else, they're not worth it. If you work there, you deserve any loss of business caused by this review. If you're the receptionist that started yelling at me, please don't change a thing, less people will come and eventually you'll be out of a job. :)
