The receptionist, Bertha, was rude during our phone conversation and ultimately hung up on me while I was trying to seek clarification regarding my mother's diagnostic follow-up. Instead of clearly explaining that my mother simply needed to follow up with her ENT physician, the communication was vague and alarming, leading my mother to believe she may have a serious medical condition. Proper patient communication is critical in healthcare, and this situation was handled very poorly. What made matters worse was being told that "next time, come with your mom," rather than providing a respectful and clear explanation over the phone. After the call was disconnected, I attempted to call back multiple times and received no answer. My associate then called from another line, and the clinic immediately answered on the second attempt. Dr. Hohner eventually took the call, but instead of acknowledging the receptionist's behavior or attempting to de-escalate the situation, the response felt defensive and dismissive. At no point did I feel that accountability or professionalism was demonstrated. Given the clinic's already low public rating, I now understand why many patients appear frustrated with their experiences here. I sincerely hope management reevaluates staff professionalism, communication standards, and patient relations moving forward. For anyone seeking hearing care for themselves or their loved ones, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a clinic that prioritizes professionalism, compassion, and clear communication. I was referred to Dr. Carlos Jimenez by a friend and he was thorough. Used the fiber optic scope on me, collected a swab sample and viewed my CT scans that another doctor had ordered. (If I did not have existing CT scans I'm sure Dr. Jimenez would have ordered them.) Bottom line, the swab sample results came back and in conjunction with the CT Scans, Dr. Jimenez diagnosed and treated me. Finally, after seeing several ENT doctors! I would definitely recommend seeing Dr. Carlos Jimenez. My only issues: parking can be difficult and they only accept cash or check. No card machine available. Also, it is an older looking office, might want to update the interior. So, minus one star for all of these. Keep in mind, though, Dr. Jimenez got the job done!
