I have been coming to the Miracullum Spa for almost 8 years. I LOVE it! I recently got eyelash extensions here and I was very apprehensive because I've had them done before and they were way too long, didn't last and the glue irritated my eyes. When I got my eyelashes done here I was so happy! The glue they use is extremely gentle but strong and didn't bother my eyes at all. Their eyelash tech was so understanding and gave me the look I wanted. They look SO natural but they're noticeably so much longer and fuller without being overdone. Everyone here is always so nice and it's not an intimidating place to come into like some other med spas. Been to Miracullum a total of 3 times and each time it's been wonderful. The staff is great and wonderful. I have serveral skin tags I wanted removed and Jolanta buzzed. I though the procedure would be super painful and would leave me scarred.. literally.. but it didn't. It all healed within a weeks time. My face is becoming clearer. She was also able to remove dark spots with amazed me. More sessions are needed when my schedule permits but let me just tell you.. If you have unslightly skin tags.. anywhere... I really love this spa. The staff is very friendly. Actually was recommended to this place by my S.O. He goes for his Manly facials which keep his skin in perf manly softness. I go for my super dry skin and my wonderful esthetician has given me a mixture of oxygen facials, peels and masks to ensure my skin retains it's moisture. I have also recommended my mother, best friend and co-workers who all love their services. The 1 star down grade, they like to overly push products. I get it and have gotten a few of their products but when I don't seem to "go through them" fast enough I tend to get a little bit of attitude as I must be using other not as good products. read more

I am a fan! I came to Miracullum Spa to remove a LOT of skin tags I acquired (mostly due to multiple pregnancies over the years). I reserved a 30-minute session for about $135 and the results were phenomenal. Jolanta, the owner and aesthetician was able to remove about 25-30 tags and was able to do so with minimal discomfort. Since I have so many, I have to go back for a second session, but that's ok--I think Miracullum Spa has a customer for life. Loved the treatment, the care, the bedside manner of the aesthetician and the cleanliness of the spa. I will certainly be back for their other facial treatments. read more

Miracullum Spa is located in the heart of downtown W.C. on North Main Street. This gem of a spa offers so many great services for all ages and skin types. Before I came here, I hadn't given much thought toward taking care of my face in terms of cleansing, exfoliating and applying sunscreen each day. I recently received my first facial with Jennifer and it was an excellent experience that really changed how I viewed skincare! She was so welcoming and professional. She analyzed my face beforehand and knew exactly what my skin needed! The facial was extremely relaxing and she made sure I was comfortable the entire time. It was amazing how hydrated and clean my skin felt immediately afterward. Jennifer also recommended the best products for my dry skin and told me how important it was to apply sunscreen and cleanse my face daily- I could tell that she truly cared. The whole environment was great as well; the girls at the front desk were very friendly and sweet! :) I ended up purchasing the Purios Glow cleanser and after using it for only a week, I can see how much it has cleared minor blemishes and has left my face feeling soft. The Enzyme Smoothie is also great for exfoliation and smells delicious like a citrus smoothie! Lastly, I got the Triple C Serum in the 30ml size. This is a vitamin C serum and I absolutely love it. Holy eyebrows! Tristyn did a beyond amazing job on my eyebrows. Even before she put a blade to my brows she mapped out the shape with her measuring tools and stenciled everything on. I was pleased with the shape on the first go. Afterward I as numbed for about 15 minutes and we were ready to go! On the pain scale I was a 0, no pain at all! The whole process took maybe about an hour and a half but it was so worth it. The time went by fast and Tristyn took her time and made it a very relaxing experience. The end result was insane from where I had first started I couldn't believe those were my brows. Patches were filled and my brows looked more full and defined. You could also see the detail in the brow hairs she created; looks legit like real individual hairs. If you have any doubts whether its about their being pain or if it will look good don't be worried at all with Tristyn she will take care of you. read more

Super disappointed! My bf and I went in for a body wrap. All I have to say is: We paid $80 each for someone to put scented lotion on my body and wrap me in saran wrap. The scalp massage offered while wrapped, gave me a headache. The foot massage offered was mediocre. The website said 50 minute treatment. From the time I undressed, had my "treatment," and dressed again, it was 40 minutes. Had high expectations for this place. Unfortunately, we will not be going back. read more

I went to Miracullum for a Brazilian Bikini Wax. I had never had this service before, so picked a spa that seemed reputable. Wow, was i wrong! The girl did not know what she was doing, she was applying the wax in a swirling pattern. I knew this was wrong since i have been trained in waxing, but thought since it had been 5 years maybe this is a new technique. She was pulling each strip several times to rip it off. She even cut a few of the strips off and left the hair very short. At one point after attempting to get a strip off about 6 times, confessed that she was new, and needed to get someone to help her! An experienced waxer came in and effortlessly and relatively painlessly removed the strip. The girl who was doing my service then asked the lady to stay and help her, the lady said, "No, I'm with a client" and left. At this point i had lost all faith in her. She continued to torcher me and then after removing about 75% of my hair said in a timid voice, "Do you want me to do the back?" I said NO! I was left with some short patchy areas of hair which i had to shave at home, hair in the back, and some bald spots in between! She told me that my hair was too long, and that was why it was a problem. I told her the receptionist told me not to shave or trim it. My esthetician talked to who I'm assuming was the manager, and she reluctantly gave me $20 off the $75 service! The service took so long that i received a $20 parking ticket! This was the worst "spa" experience i have EVER had, and i would NEVER go back to this spa again! Since then i have found a wonderful Esthetician, and go for regular Brazilian Waxes. Her name is Reny and she is in Pleasant Hill. She is from Brazil, her price is $55, and she is done in 20 minutes! It is an experience i look forward to every month! read more

As an professional esthetician myself, I understand that our work is something we are passionate about. We are hired to make clients feel incredible. And at times we can take constructive reviews personally. My intent in this review is to give honest feedback about my experience as a whole and is not a reflection of the personality or talent of my massage therapist. Having said all that, here are a few things that really stood out and what made my experience there my last. Upon arriving I waited 20 min to go back for my massage. By the time we started the massage it was 1:27. The therapist was very nice however in the future let's all remember that pregnant women are sensitive about their size. I was asked if i was having a girl because i was carrying widely. My reply was no, just fat and that I'm only a week or so away. Then was told i was carrying too wide and most likely too large to fit into the pregnancy hole (on the table they have a cut out for pregnant women so they can lay flat on their stomach during a treatment). She asked if i wanted to see it, but at that point i wasn't waiting to chance it. I was already feeling very uncomfortable and didn't want to be embarrassed by not fitting in the table! We started the massage and midway through she had to stop and go outside. There was a mixup about the room or the supplies so someone kept coming in and out to gather supplies for their room. I get it, it happens, but geez... it's my last chance to relax for a very very long time and this 5 min distraction was very, well, distracting. The massage itself was ok. Not my style at all. Every therapist feels different. Some will totally be on par with your style, some won't. It's how it goes. The pace was just too fast for my taste. More invigorating than relaxing. You know when you put on too much lotion after a shower and you rub quickly so it can absorb? Kind of like that but not really getting into knots or relaxing the way i prefer. We ended the massage after 47 min (was supposed to be 60) but i guess the 5 min foot soak in the beginning ate into the massage time. All in all it was a disappointing experience and not relaxing at all. Had my husband not prepaid for the treatment, I honestly don't know what i would have done. I actually might have walked out after the whole I'm too wide conversation or the abrupt interruption during the treatment. I certainly wouldn't have paid without speaking to management. For a spa so highly rated, in such a competitive area and with high end rates I would have expected much better service and a much better experience! I would suggest going elsewhere for massage! read more

Had a body scrub today. The room was COLD. The website states you can choose either salt or sugar scrub, i was told they only have citrus sugar. Tristan was good but i felt she was rushing. Website also states with the body scrub you get a scalp massage , well that didnt happen either, she said they dont do massages. Im curious to know why my friend got the salt scrub when i was told they dont have salt. Disappointed. At least stand by your menu and have rooms warm. I will not be returning. read more

I've been coming to this spa since 2005 and I love it!! Michelle at the front desk has been there forever and has a very soothing voice and very nice personality. Prices for facials and all their treatments are very decent..especially since they are a "Best of the East Bay" winner. I have had a Tranquility Massage there and it was so soothing and relaxing. First you get changed into a very soft robe, get warm socks, and get led into a room where there is soft lighting. You get to soak your feet in a footbath for 10 minutes and then afterwards get your full body massage after. They use lotions instead of oils which I prefer because I hate the sticky feeling most places give u after a massage. They also put you in a steam canopy which opens up your pores and leave your muscles relaxed and warm. They allow you the use of their shower if you want to freshen up after. I have also received a Signature Facial from one of their girls and it was very nice as well. Your face gets cleansed, scrubed, toned, extracted, and hydrated leaving your skin glowing! Twice I did get Botox with Jolanta Omski and she was very professional, quick, and painless. I would recommend her for that service if you want it. Right now I hear they have $50 off the service and a lunch if you get Botox right now. Twice, I also received lash extensions but I wouldn't recommend it. For me, it is a very expensive process and does not last long. While they were putting the fake lashes on my lashes, the fumes from the glue made me cough alot. Also because I wash my face alot, the lashes did not stay in as long as I wanted them too. When the lashes do come off, they pulled my own natural lashes with them which made my eye lids more bald then they were before. I would recommend using Latisse instead. For the price, your normal lashes get more healthy and grow longer. Overall I love this spa and will keep returning again and again for service! read more

Facials and lash extensions--I have been going to Miracullum for years for facials (various aestheticians) and they always do a wonderful job--listen to what I want, make suggestions based on their analysis of my skin, and I an always thrilled with the results. No "hard sell" on products, just knowledgeable and skilled and friendly. Recently I decided to try lash extensions for the first time in my life--I am 53. I never wanted them, worried they would look fake and/or be hard to maintain. But one of the receptionists at Miracullum has gorgeous looking lashes so I asked her questions and when I found out they were extensions, decided to try them myself. WOW!!! Miracullum does a great job of these too! They look incredible, natural, I have received many compliments (like, "Your lashes are so gorgeous how do you get them to look like that??"). Friends assumed I had some trick with mascara and a curler. I have even had strangers (women) ask me. And the lashes are NOT hard to maintain--once a month for 1/2 hour, touch up. No more need for eyeliner, mascara, eyelash curler--and they look 500% better!! 80 lashes per eye individually applied to your real lashes, not to your skin. They fall out when your real lashes do, which takes 1-2 months. And each lash is of course longer and curled already. 3 lengths, one is like your regular length so you just get a lot more thickness and curl. I got medium length for more "pop". And there is a longer length if you want something dramatic. No, I am not marketing--I am truly just a client--just very happy!! read more

The entire time it felt amazing & my sore neck really feels better. Jessica gave me the best facial. My skin glowed for over a week & randoms (like the lady at Starbucks) noticed. Recently got BOTOX here and the results were better than I could have expected. She was VERY good and gentle and conservative and now I feel like I look younger and almost like I got a little brow lift. I wont trust anyone else for botox now, I will only go here. I came in today for an emergency. I had a HUGE zit on my forehead, in fact I dont know if its a zit, it wont go away. Anyway, I came in without an appointment and they kindly helped me anyway. I was BLOWN away because she examined me, did a treatment, washed my face, then helped me apply makeup and cover it up after. Then they charged me NOTHING. I mean this is unreal to me. Its hard these days to find this level of customer service and this is the second time they took me without an appointment and helped me . They offer a family like friendly kind and caring approach. They really do take the time to listen and help and the fact that they didnt try to sell me anything, I was blown away. THey also have the BEST products EVER. I bought the clear and bright serum and noticed a difference within days. They really are a wonderful place and I hope they get a ton of business because they deserve it. read more
