THE BEST SHOP IN ANCHORAGE!!!! Backed up into my husband's trailer, did some damage to the side of my car. It was a blessing to find this place. Nice lady on the phone said "you want to come by and we can take a look at it?" Didn't even have to make appt. Mike the owner is awesome, gave me an estimate got me in the next day. I recently messed up my fender, headlight, edge of my hood and bumper after hitting some ice and sliding into another car. I was paying out of pocket for the repairs since I don't have first party insurance, I'm also a student and on a tight budget. I had called a couple shops before Mirage and expressed to them that I don't care if the repairs look perfect, I just wanted to do whatever I could to keep the price down. One shop quoted me $1,668 more than what I paid at Mirage. That estimate included all new parts and paint even though I told the guy I didn't want that. The other shop (Able) told me they were booked out for three weeks but I could send in pictures and fill out an online request for an estimate, I did tbut they never got back to me. When I called Mirage they were very responsive and got back to me right away. I told Mike about my situation, he understood that my concern was price not cosmetic and told me his shop would be willing to try to repair the broken pieces or use aftermarket parts from a junkyard if possible. Mikes guys were able to hammer out my fender, bend the hood back and pin the bumper back together somehow, I only had to buy a new headlight and some connecting pieces. The repairs look much better than I expected, at first glance you can barely tell it was messed up. I had my car back in about a week and a half. I really appreciate that Mike and the guys at Mirage were willing to work with me and do these more time consuming repairs even though their shop was very busy. read more

Mirage Auto Painting and Collision was a very disappointing and overall horrible experience for us. They had our vehicle for 2 weeks and did nothing as far as repairs. We spent over $400 on a rental car for the 2 weeks they had our vehicle...for what? Various employees gave us information or made statements that proved to be dishonest and/or not backed by action. Our insurance company payed them ahead of any repairs, which did not make sense to us, however, the most honest thing Mirage did was to refund the payment. I would avoid this business if you are interested in integrity, timeliness, honesty and good work. Their word means ABSOLUTELY nothing! *In response to more dishonesty by Mirage, when we dropped off our vehicle on February 4, 2022, your estimator assured us multiple times that she would get insurance to cover a new lift gate. She reassured us over subsequent days that she would be successful accomplishing this with the insurance company covering a replacement lift gate. Shockingly, she walked off the job while you still had our vehicle in possession. In addition, we left our vehicle with you as requested by the estimator, and she told us they would have our vehicle done and ready in 7-10 business days. The repairs were not done. Mirage cleaned up the paint from the post we hit and popped out the dent somewhat, then called us to pick up the vehicle on February 17, 2022. The cleanup work happened more than 11 or 12 days after we dropped off the vehicle. Next, we offered to pay the difference on a new lift gate (for the portion insurance wouldn't cover), but were told by your lead auto body employee that Mirage would cover the cost difference. He said the cost would be on them due to them wasting our time and our resultant rental car fees. Then, on February 25, 2022, we asked about the arrival of the new lift gate. At that time, we were told by Mirage that they would NOT cover the cost difference afterall, in spite of what they told us previously. The new estimator said, "Mirage will not eat $400.00 to $800.00." It was at that point that we requested a refund. Evidently, one of your core values is to not stand behind your word. read more

Now that is service. Today I just got my truck back after someone accidentally had their door blown open by the wind into my truck right as I was pulling out of a parking spot. Mirage took care of everything. They worked with the other persons insurance, they did nice work on the truck, they cleaned the inside up, and even delivered the truck to my home. Seriously, they really delivered the truck to me. They offer rides to customers but I needed a ride to include myself and daughters so they suggested just bringing the truck to me as it would be easier. The only error that was made was the date of delivery. I dropped it off on a Tuesday afternoon and they told me possibly Thursday but most likely Friday. I was really busy Friday and didn't go get it so I was a little surprised when it wasn't ready Monday. Turns out the gentleman I was talking to when I got the estimate misunderstood me and thought I was going to be out of town for a week. I had actually told him my wife was out of town for a week so I conveniently had her car. They were very apologetic. I would say with the extras they provided, they more than made up for this. They did more work on the vehicle than I expected too. For instance, they removed some decals from both sides of the truck rather than just the side they were working on. I had told them I would take the second side off. I consider the quality and service above anything I have ever experienced with a body shop. I do have a bit of experience with several through company vehicles and customizing my own. read more

The best service I've ever received at an auto shop. I had cosmetic damage on my truck. 3 years ago I went to Spruce Park Auto and they told me It was scratched to the primer and I needed to order all new panels for the passenger side and quoted me about $4,000. I gave up right then and there. Decided I wanted to keep my Toyota until I run it into the ground so it was time to fix all the little things so that it seemed like new. When I showed up at Mirage, it took a moment for the front desk lady to help me, but that was because she was in the shop sanding on a vehicle. If that's not cool, than I don't know what is! Then she looked at my truck, started washing it on the spot, and then 3 other employees came out to assess the "scratches". They were all highly confident it was just surface paint that would wipe right off. After she washed my passenger side, a very nice man came out and magically wiped the paint right off before my eyes, and then buffed it to a shiny finish. I almost cried. It was a miracle. When I asked them how much I owed them, they shrugged and just said bring us more business. Tell your friends. So I immediately made an appointment for them to paint a new bumper and replace my old cracked one. Everyone I came into contact with genuinely wanted to help, and they did. It was just the most pleasant experience at an auto shop that I've ever had, because typically you get F'd in the A. Love this place, will definitely go back and highly recommend!!!
