Because our previous service had been so good, we went back for brakes. We had them done and a week later we felt and vibration and heard a squeak in the brakes. Immediately my husband knew there was an issue with the rotors, so we took the car back. We asked for confirmation about our rotors and their status. They claimed they were fine. I should have pressed the issue, because now my rotors are damaged and I have to have they replaced and it's costing me a over a grand to my brakes and rotors redone after less than 10,000 miles later. If you're talking crazy to me before I even bring my car there you clearly don't want my business. Especially coming in knowing I expect to pay 2k+ for what I need done. I had never heard of this place and after calling my usual mechanic and several grumpy referrals, I found R&R here on Yelp. I took a shot and called. Very helpful and accommodating. I had my vehicle towed to their shop midday, and it was repaired and ready the following day. Good communication and no mysteries or hidden costs regarding the issues at hand and solving them. I think the charge for services was extremely reasonable, and I was actually shocked at the low cost. I think we often expect to be gouged or misled regarding auto repair, but my hopes were high. Overall great customer service and interaction, fair price, mechanical issues were addressed and I couldn't be more pleased. This is now my first go to shop for diagnostics and repairs. I called this garage a week ago to schedule an appointment. I gave the garage a run down of the problem I was in countering. I was told to bring in a week later. I was happy with the time frame as other garages were booked three weeks out. I had brought my truck in and reiterated the problem again. I was tasked by the front counter why I didn't take it to the dealer. I was taken aback as to why questioning my incoming business. Then, I mentioned that I tried to research what the potential problem could be. The gentalman asked why would I do that. Really, you asked that? I felt I should've taken my keys and left at that point. I checked on my car status 6 hrs later. I was told they couldn't do anything for me as they didn't have the machine to help them, then told me to take it to the dealer. I'm sure the business would've charged a lot less. However, one has to take into consideration if they can handle anything outside of changing tires and oil. I definitely don't have to accept "why would you come to us" attitude. I sent my brother here, who is developmentally disabled on someone else's recommendation. 1. My brother doesn't have a cell phone. They wouldn't call him a cab nor would they let him use their phone to call a cab. The woman at the front was reportedly rude to him. 2. The "fix" the did only lasted a couple of days before the car started experiencing severe problems and we ended up taking it to the Ford dealership, where presumably they know what they are doing. So, our experience was that these people are jerks who can't fix cars properly. Your experience may vary, but this was ours. read more

This place is one of those auto mechanic shops that rip people off. I got charged for ceramic front brake pads and to turn my rotors. Well needless to say these crooks put semi-metallic pads on and didn't turn my rotors. I called them and they hung up on me. I'm going to the BBB I should have paid with my CC. Stay away. read more

Honest and reasonable service. I have taken my car to R&R twice now. The first time it was engine overheating problem and I figured the water pump or thermostat was the issue and was prepared to pay big bucks. They called a little while later and said a coolant hose clamp has come loose and leaked. They replaced the clamp and charged something nominal like $30. More recently I had my car into Kendall Toyota for a recall and they said in multipoint inspection that my brakes were at 3 to 5 mm remaining and needed replacement. I took the car to R&R for brake job and oil change. A little while later R&R called and said no need to do the brakes yet, that they have plenty of life left and just to keep an eye on it. Saved me almost $500. They could've had me so easily. I will keep going back to R&R. read more

The staff recognized what the problem was and did what was necessary to get it going again. Hello, First time dealing with R&R Garage. I went in a week before service to make an appointment on my off day from work. Was greeted by the service writer, he took my information and told me to bring it in at the appointed time. Brought my car in with list of things wanted done, told me he would call me with the estimate. Got the call later, gave me the price for the job. Then i told him another problem I was having, he said they would check it out. Trouble shot the problem, informed me to keep an eye on problem and I could deal with it at a different time. Went to pick up my car and they told me that one of the problems I had listed was from an improper installation from another garage I had hired to do. Loose oil filter resulting my oil leak. They are on my last yelp. Anyway went to pay for the service, they did not change the bill even though I had them check out another problem I mentioned after the fact. I have been taking my car to and trusting in R&R Garage to repair my car for the better of 5-6 years. I thought they were very trustworthy and well-priced. I ignored the fact that the owner makes you feel like a complete idiot if you don't know everything that's wrong with your car when you call to see if they are available to fix it. Sadly, they weren't as trustworthy and the down-talking wasn't just the short phone calls to customers. One of the last experiences of bringing my car to R&R, they replaced an assembly line to my battery because I had brought my car in because it wasn't starting all the time after I had lost the main key to it. After replacing the line, they said they fixed that issue. After I paid they said my car was out front, and running. It was running because they hadn't actually fixed anything, and they knew that, they started my car with my remote, because the key I was using hadn't been programmed to my car yet. So on top of paying them to "fix" my battery, I also had to go get my key programmed to actually fix the issue. Despite them being deceptive about my car not actually being fixed, I had already been going to them for almost 4 years, so I didn't want to try to find a new shop and was hoping they wouldn't try to lie about something bigger they would do. I actually didn't ever even bring this up to them after it happened because of how rude the owner already is when you talk to him, I was afraid he would be even more rude. Jump ahead, my partner was taking my car in to get the brakes fixed. While he was waiting there he asked if he could apply for a position. They hired him almost immediately and we were excited for him to work there because it seemed like it was going to be a decent shop to be at, they got him excited for the job and made him feel welcome. Not even a week into work for the owner (Brent) and manager (Alec), they were constantly putting his intelligence down IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS! People were actually offering and encouraging him to come apply for places they worked at because they felt so bad. It wasn't just him they would put down, it was all of their shop workers. Needless to say, my partner did not work there long. When he first started working there he was told he would be working from 8a-5p. When I would go to pick him up at 5:15, they would still be bringing cars in and they would try to ask him to stay until 6, even though I needed to be to my 2nd job and we needed to pick up our kids. He wouldn't have ever agreed to a different schedule upon being hired, so when he said he couldn't stay that late they treated him even worse, and when it came down to them starting to run low on work, they chose to keep someone who they just hired rather than keeping him on after him being there for almost 4 months and laid him off. After all of this, we brought my car in to be looked at 1 more time. My partner believed the caliper was going out and wanted to confirm it. They left me a voicemail saying it indeed was that caliper. I called back a few hours later asking if I could come pick it up, Brent told me that it was still taken apart and I couldn't pick it up until tomorrow and hung up on me. The next day came, and it was the afternoon and I still hadn't heard back about my car being put back together. I called and asked when it would be ready and Brent told me it had been ready for hours and he thought I would have picked it up already.. Seriously? R&R has some serious customer service/interpersonal skills, they are not trustworthy (the workers also look through your car for change/money laying around they can keep), and all-around a huge disappointment. This is coming from someone who was going there for 5 years! Although I do have an "inside perspective", I should have stopped going there BEFORE my partner even started working there. read more

Took my 2001 Sporttrac to have the 4-wheel drive worked on ( will not stay in 4-wheel drive ) Spent over a $ 1000 dollars replacing parts ?? the truck did not make it all the way home before it came out of 4-wheel drive again. I took it back and their response was the part was still defective and needed to be replaced. And the truck would need more repairs to fix the transmission. They could not give me a price even though they had the transmission out of the truck already ( they did not seem to be interested in repairing my truck at this point ) . Did not want to give them any more money for a repair I already paid for. Will not return or recommend them . read more
