Wanted me to bring it back to "finish sanding and re-painting" but who paints when it clearly hadn't been sanded well at that time. Big gouges that were worse than the original scrape. The clear chip protection was painted over and there was overspray all over the chrome bumper. Ended up taking it to another real body shop and it was 5 times the work to fix all that was done wrong. They had to replace the quarter panel because of all the bondo and incorrectly applied paint. Had to replace number from all overspray. Took weeks to have them fix what would have been days of work. Only take your vehicle here if you don't care what it looks like after and don't mind grade school level bodywork on your car.

Twisted Auto Detail is located on Arctic Spur Rd between Arctic Blvd and W 81st Ave in the industrial area right by the Dowling bridge. The owner of the business, Norman, is a consummate professional and easy to talk to. The Memorial Day Weekend provided me with an extra day off from work and I wanted to use that extra time to get this done. He was able to get me an appointment on Friday at 8PM the day after I texted him on his website. I left the car overnight and came out to a brand new Jeep that looked like it came in off the showroom floor at the dealership. Norman did outstanding work in the interior areas especially the seats which were in need of some real cleaning. The exterior of the car likewise made it look like the day I drove it off the lot after purchasing it a year and a half ago. The one that really amazed me the most was how clean the engine was. It was full of dirt, grime, oil stains, and dead leaves. It looked like it came off the assembly line and the pictures provided will give you a good idea on how hard he worked on this car late into the night. At $450 for all the work, this was very reasonable for a mid-size vehicle like mine. Other places I checked had quoted a couple hundred dollars more for their services. I'm all about supporting small businesses like this and I encourage others on here to see him if you want your car detailed from top to bottom.

My insurance (GEICO) paid $566.67 for a new rim due to a minor accident. I wanted to keep the scratched rim as a spare, but Danny's kept it, claiming it was used as a "core" for the new one. There was no mention of this in any paperwork, and I never agreed to it. Rims aren't made with a "core" process, so their explanation doesn't add up. It feels like they took my property without permission. I asked for proof--like shipping receipts or invoices--showing where the rim went, but I'm still waiting. After 31 years with GEICO and no prior accidents, I expected better from their approved vendor. The lack of transparency has left me frustrated and distrustful. I'd caution others to double-check what happens to their parts here.

I would highly recommend this company and they now have a forever customer in me. I have no connection with this business in any way and actually would have preferred not to use any body shop at all given the circumstances. Since I did need my car repaired, I am so happy I chose Chaz. I know it's going to be impossible to believe, but I would almost go as far to say my car is better after my repair than it was before it went in! It's important to understand that I own a year-old Audi Q5 and when it was hit recently causing 5k in front-end damage, I was very concerned about who was going to fix it and make sure it was done right. I had heard good things about Chaz on 5th from a coworker so I elected to have them fix my car. Since they are a preferred provider for USAA the process was very smooth to get the car into the shop. I met with the manager and told him up front I would be extremely picky about the gaps and lines on the car and if it was not perfect, I would be expecting it to be redone. He assured me that I need not worry and even took me outside to show me a 2 year old Porsche that had just been worked on by his shop. It looked great. They called me regularly and kept me up to date on the status of the repair. Also, they are very courteous, the shop is clean and lobby is nice to wait in. The job was done pretty close to the time alloted and I could not be any happier. I'm thrilled and relieved my Audi looks as good as new and except maybe an automotive paint professional, I would be surprised if anyone could tell a difference.
