Deceptive pricing and business practices, while also trying to pin the blame on me for not acting sooner when it was their fault for not even having the car ready when I was. So, I came here to check out a Tesla Model 3 - red on 4/8. Saw it was listed at 22,992 on cargurus and checked their website and it was also listed as that. They had a disclaimer note stating that original price was 24,992 and when factoring both EV rebates, it would be 17,992. So doing the math, the EV rebate price SHOULD be 15,992 as the listed price was 22,992. So I scheduled a test drive, confirmed the appointment and when I arrived - the car wasn't charged and not ready. They also don't do any out the door pricing or trade in evaluations unless you want to buy the car - but why would I buy the car without actually testing it out?!! But anyways I was like, its cool, mistakes happen the car is nice, I'll come back tomorrow. Anyways, i schedule an appointment the next day and they have it ready. Test drive it, looks and feels good, I tell them i want to discuss the purchase. Well guess what? the price just went back to 24,992 before rebates. Huh?! They jacked up the price to 2k overnight cause of "market" conditions, but that just seems to coincidental. This was after I had to explain the breakdown and show them the pricing they had originally, as they conveniently modified their pricing overnight to reflect 17,992. Luckily Cars.com has a price tracker and showed the price was going down since march 22 from 26k , until the day I arrived (4/9) went it shows the "rebate price" of 17,992. "Market conditions" really just meant I was ready to buy, and they were ready take advantage. At least that's the perception I had, given the situation here. They even had the gall to say I should have bought the car yesterday for that previous price - but they were the ones who didn't even have the car ready to go for a test drive! I walked out angry as they thought they could take advantage of me and treat me like I'm stupid. Also, no manager came over to resolve or talk with me, so that shows how little they actually care about customer service, especially when it's their fault. Deceptive, dishonest and disgusted - what a waste of time and only confirms the stereotype of shady business. Avoid this place like the plague - they don't care about you, they only care about how much you are going to spend and then try to take more from you. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if they try to remove my review or discredit me, but that only further proves my point.

Well, it looks like my review is adding to the chorus of people unhappy with Cityside Subaru…read moreservices. I don't think it's a coincidence that people are reporting similar experiences. I've had an observation I'd like to share. I went with a friend to keep them company during a car service. They may have wanted a man to combat the stereotype of everything that goes along with women + cars, but really all I could add was moral support and, perhaps, a well-timed raised eye brow when engaging with the Subaru folks. First, the customer service representative had something on their desk describing their current mood/feeling. This is inappropriate. When you get to work, your mood should be professional and laser focused on the customer. The current feelings of an employee should not be on display. Already I was buckling up for this one. Second, and most importantly, there was an issue with battery drainage. Diagnosis: "Nothing wrong with the car, let's attack your ability to own this fine machinery." How often do you use the car? How long and far do you drive each time? Where do you keep it? You got a battery from AAA before this one? That must have affected this one. As soon as you get home do you turn on all of the lights in your car and then leave?" (okay, that last one didn't happen). Personally, I drive a "fun" non-Subaru car 1-2 times/week and have had it for years. It's low mileage. I've never had trouble with the battery. I wouldn't call myself a car guy but I know enough about cars in general and have done reading about the Subaru battery drainage issue to realize this is not the owner's fault. It's clearly a Subaru issue that they're trying to avoid addressing in any way that will cost them. This is pound foolish. This sounds suspiciously similar to other reviews, as I'm looking at the review from "Libby W. Oct 3, 2025" in my Yelp margin. The service people are slippery. If you know the Seinfeld episode where Jerry and George talk about mechanics being less than scrupulous with customers (in this case, David Puddy), that's the feeling I got with the whole Cityside Subaru operation. It's unfortunate, since this remodeled Subaru dealership looks great. But, the cosmetics will not keep the customers coming back if they feel like they're getting taken for a ride.

We purchased a brand new 2025 Honda HRV from this place, shelled out extra for an…read moreincreased warranty, and our car has had to have *two* repairs in the first six months of ownership. The first time, our engine wouldn't turn on and it was because rats had chewed through the wires. Apparently this is a known issue with Honda cars because they use soy-based plastic wiring. They quoted us over $6k to do the repair. Our insurance said that dealerships always overprice their repairs and they won't cover any repairs by dealerships for that reason. We went with a different auto repair shop, which quoted us over a thousand dollars less to do the repair. The second time, our rear windshield shattered for no reason. This is also a known issue with Honda HRV cars, but the dealership refused to cover it under warranty because they are only doing it for 2023 and 2024 cars. However, it's definitely a known issue because it's the same car and earlier models had the same issue. We have a six month old baby, which is why we bought the car. So thankful our baby was not in the car when the rear windshield shattered. We will never buy a Honda again.

If they promise a detailing with service, suddenly they "can't do that today - we don't have enough guys". Do not trust anything they claim they can do for you. It won't happen.
