Helped my sister buy her latest ride here. They were very helpful in explaining things for any questions we had. Reasonable to work with on cost of extended warranty items. The car was reasonably priced and I expect my sister will be driving it for at least the next 10-15 years. This was a strange one for me as my sister did all the talking, I just looked over the paperwork via photos/texts/phone calls and helped her ask questions. I do not know her salesperson, but can find out if needed. Why not 5 stars? I think they might have done a bit more in coming off the top price, even though she still got a good deal. I've visited many different Toyota locations with varying experiences (Watertown, Braintree, Norwood, etc...) but this one is one of the better ones. The location is mainly for services as they don't have a showroom. Lexington Toyota service area is on the left side with the parking lot and you can walk in on the lower level. Then on the upper floor they have a small waiting area with your coffee, tea, and vending machine options. Aside from the Assistant Manager in service constantly pronouncing my name wrong the service folks are very helpful. During the week days they also offer a shuttle service within a 5 mile radius of the service center. During your car's service they also have a text message service that you can respond. Although to be honest I haven't received the most responsive follow up from that so you may want to call to check you are no longer on site waiting. read more

We came in on a Friday around 430pm and the workers did rock paper scissors to see who would get stuck with us. They did this right in front of us. We said something trying to make light of it and giving them the opportunity to clear it up like "aw staying late on a Friday!" And they were like haha yeah. We ended up leaving after a brief conversation, going to the Watertown Toyota dealership, and buying a new 2025 Corolla. read more

Came today to get an issue with my odometer and screen worked out in my new used 2021 RA4. Was so excited to hear they could provide me a ride to work one town over. The guy who drives people was making copies and then just disappears. No one bothered to communicate w/ me about waiting a few minutes? They didn't say give him 5 minutes. Neither the service dept nor the driver bothered to speak with me about how long I'd need to wait? No "it'll be a few minutes!" What good is this service if the can't follow through? On my way to work in a LYFT. Running late. Oh well. I don't recommend this service dept. after the poor communication I received today. I'm very disappointed. read more

I found the sales team extraordinarily frustrating. They advertise the car, we go through the whole song and dance about what is available, what is not, I give them my information and then they pull the bait and switch and tell me it is no longer available. I wish they had just been upfront or updated their website accordingly to reflect what was available and what wasn't. I wasted so much time unnecessarily. I won't state a particular name to protect anonymity but one of the managers was the worst for the above. What a disappointing experience. I ended up going to another dealership that communicated better and was more transparent and happily purchased two cars there. Moral of the story is, they will gladly keep you on the hook and switch the bait when the times come. read more

Lexington Toyota should be the last place you bring your vehicle for service. We will never return to this dealership, and I would recommend no one else take your vehicle here for service. I called Service on a Tuesday advising I had a flat tire. 2 other tires on my car were essentially new. The only reason I contacted Lexington Toyota was because another tire dealer was unable to remove the wheel lock lug. They were going to replace 2 tires at most. I dropped my car off Tuesday evening at the drop box. I explicitly wrote on the envelope with my keys to please call me before any service was completed so I knew what was going to be done, and what the price would be, so that I could confirm it was within our budget. I did not want to replace any more than 2 tires unless absolutely necessary, which did not seem to be the case. Additionally, no one in service had disclosed what their installation prices would be prior to the appointment, only the price of the tires. On Wednesday afternoon, I received a text that our vehicle service was completed. No one from service ever called us prior to performing the work, and Lexington Toyota decided to replace all 4 tires with an alignment without contacting us or providing us with any decision. My wife was shocked to be handed a $971 bill when picking up her car, which we would have declined. Again, two other shops had confirmed we only needed a maximum of two tires. Their prices were less than half of what Lexington invoiced us. read more

Dropped off car for the third 'free Toyotacare and then tried to charge me $75. When I confronted them a manager said it was a mistake and that bill was meant to go to Toyota. How many people mistakenly paid this by not paying attention or are elderly like myself and then they go and charge Toyota again. Beware of erroneous charges for free service. read more

over 300%+ OVER charge for service {parts/labor} for a toyota. I declined the service and on pickup of my car the clerk states " that will be $160 diagnostic fee, which we discussed"? never discussed BLANTANT LIE. DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS avoid! ALWAYS GET A 2ND OPINION this dealership wanted to replace all tires {8000 miles} and a front end alignment? they also made claims that a faulty left rear wheel bearing needed to be replaced? 2nd opinion proved that the 3 warning lights came on after i hit a pothole and a honest mechanic reset the sensor {all lights out now} dealership claimed serpentine belt needed replacement. it's fine . This place is junk. Avoid at all cost. I dropped off my car for service, they charged me $125 to tell me my hood won't open and they want $675 to replace the cable. Meanwhile I opened the hood a week ago to check the oil. They basically broke it and told me it snapped. They couldn't even figure out the problem. I dropped the car off at a local guy brother's auto in Belmont / Lexington line. They fixed the hood issue, ran an new cable, only cost me $50 and fixed the check engine light which was due to a faulty vacuum hose. Needless to say but do not take your car here.. read more

they charged me $104.14 for changing the oil and air filter. I always was paying $58.95 for changing the oil . everybody knows changing air filter takes 5 seconds. this cost is ridiculous . If you're looking for a dealer that stands by the vehicles they sell to their customers, do not shop at Lexington Toyota. I purchased a used vehicle from Lexington Toyota around two years ago. The sales team and the dealer sold me the vehicle promising it still had the remainder of the factory warranty, which was another 4 years and almost 50,000 miles from point of purchase. Recently, the turbocharger failed in the vehicle, which is a common issue and covered by the factory warranty. However, upon bringing the vehicle in to have the warranty addressed, it was brought to my attention that the vehicle was sold to me with an illegal stage 1 engine modification, thus voiding the factory warranty. I am now on the hook for a several thousand dollar fix because Lexington Toyota failed to thoroughly inspect the vehicle they sold me. After contacting the dealer and explaining the issue, they decided not to assist me in any way, even though I had in writing that they guaranteed the vehicle still had the factory warranty. Not only this, they sold me an illegally modified vehicle without my knowledge and are doing nothing about it. I thought a reputable business would want to do right by a wrong, but obviously that is not the case. I hope others will take their business elsewhere, as Lexington Toyota is the last place I'd recommend for an auto dealer. read more

I try to schedule an appointment, the woman on phone is giving me a hard time and it makes me feel like she doesn't want to me to make an appointment. I called ahead to see if a car was available and drove over an hour to get there to test drive it. While out on the test drive they told me that they took a deposit on the very same car I was driving. I received an email and a phone call confirmation that the specific car I was test driving was available. I told them I was ready to buy the car and but they said "sorry another customer called in with a deposit" Clearly their response should have been we will take your deposit only if the customer currently driving the car doesn't want it. The showroom is run down and dirty with ceiling tiles missing from the drop ceiling. There is trash on desks and you can tell they don't do much housekeeping. Looks like these guys did me a favor. read more

Wow what a shock, we needed a new used car in a hurry so I stopped by and spent 20 minutes looking at their used inventory and no one said boo to me. I picked two cars and brought the wife back with me, again ignored except the nice guy doing detailing. We went inside and waited to be noticed, a young man sat us down and we explained our situation and we made an offer for a car that's been on their lot for over 80 days. He went to someone and came back and said no deal. We had cash on hand and explained our situation and that we were looking at two options but after our offer was refused he didn't help us pick another option on their lot?. I got to custom order my car and although the wait time was longer than expected I did get exactly what I wanted and they DO NOT charge over sticker price which is not the case for many dealerships right now. I did have one hiccup during the process which was solved quickly with the manager Jason. We went in for a test drive last weekend. They were nice and didn't pressure us too much. My wife test-drove a few cars at other dealers and decided the Toyota was her first choice. When she went back to ask for another test drive to make sure it was what she wanted, the salespeople were rude to her but politely greeted a male customer who walked in at the same time. Just bought a "fresh off the truck" Highlander here yesterday (first time Toyota buyers). Very pleased with dealing with these folks. Previously, had attempted to buy a used vehicle at another area dealer, who wouldn't budge on a fair price. Then was misled, obfuscated, lied to, pressured, and misled all in the span of 2 hours at another local dealer (took some hindsight and cool down to disentangle what happened). Had been back-and-forth with Tim, the Lexington Toyota Internet Sales Rep, negotiating the same, fair, out-the-door price for the vehicle, for the exact vehicle we were waiting for. All of this was done before the car even came into inventory. They were one of the first in the area to receive the car we wanted and my wife and I had stopped in on a Saturday. Tim handed us off to Bash to further discuss the car, when it would come in, how much they would trade in for our old car (fair value), etc. After getting twice burnt by other local dealers, it was much easier to deal with them and complete the transaction. Within less than a week, the car came onto the lot, they prepped it, we got our financing finalized, the car detailed, and took delivery. Exactly the right vehicle at exactly the right out-the-door price. And unlike the other area dealers we tried negotiating with/purchasing from, Lexington Toyota didn't feel like a "volume dealer" experience but instead a "relationship dealer" (certainly they have a small and unassuming showroom). We'll see how a Toyota holds up in the long term, particularly around Service/Repairs, but in terms of doing a deal, I would return here. read more

Amazing service! I messed up my side mirror and needed to get the glass replaced. The people here were amazingly helpful! First I went to parts, I forgot the name of the guy (he was bald/buzzcut) but he walked me through the entire process of getting my side mirror glass replaced. He also checked that I only needed the glass replaced and not the entire side mirror (which would have been super expensive). Then I talked to Mohammad from service who help me setup and appointment. Not only that, but the cover of my side mirror was off, and he took the time to help fix and put it on! Had I gotten this repaired for service, I would have been charged more. When my time finally came to get my car fixed with labor, Sheri was a huge help! Further explained the process and I got my side mirror fixed. She gave me an honest estimate of the time it would take, so there were no surprises. She called me when my car was ready and I came and picked it up. Lastly, when I came looking for my car ( I was having a little trouble), one random employee saw me and helped me find it. He showed me a technique in which you hold the key to your chin and raise your hand up, which apparently increased the signal strength (and it worked)! All in all, every single person I met was not just friendly and professional, but wanted to genuinely help me (not for money). This will continue to be my goto Toyota! read more

Dropped off a 1999 toyota 4 runner for a seatbelt problem and an oil change at 7:30 am. Had not heard from anyone by 3pm so I called and was sent to the service department voicecemail (employee) TWICE. Called again at 3:30 and spoke to someone that could not give me a status but would call back in a 1/2 hour. Received a call that due to the age of the vehicle only a different color belt was available and the replacement cost would be north of $500. I asked for them to put the vehicle back the way it was and when the truck would be ready and they could not give me a time. Received a txt at 4:52pm saying the car was done but when I called the department was closed. Next day I drive to the dealer and paid for the oil change and diagnostic fee. Inside the vehicle were greasy fingerprints everywhere and a trim panel hanging off the top of the car. I brought this to the attention of the service department who stated the car is older (not clear what that had to do with the state they had left the car in) and if I wanted he could get the car detailed and then proceeded to pop the trim panel back in. From seeing what lack of pride they take in their work and the cavalier attitude of the service department I would avoid this dealer like the plague. read more

This is a review regarding their service department only. My '95 4Runner was having clutch problems that I was having trouble diagnosing. Having grown up in a family of mechanics, but not being one myself, I knew enough but didn't have the skills to tackle this particular problem, where the clutch was not disengaging properly and it made it difficult to shift. I took my 4Runner to Lexington Toyota Service because I have only lived in the area for 4 years, and most of my repairs I have done myself so I wasn't aware of what reputable service centers were out there. Going to these guys was a huge mistake. Even after I told the service lady exactly what I had already done to diagnose the problem, which included testing the hydraulics and bleeding the lines, the mechanics "diagnosis" was a hydraulic failure. Their recommendation was to REPLACE my entire clutch and hydraulics system to the tune of $2350! This was terrible for many reasons. 1) They didn't listen to me, in spite of the fact that I know what I'm talking about. 2) Their diagnosis was incorrect. 3) If their diagnosis was correct, then the recommendation should have been replacing the faulty part of the hydraulics, such as the slave cylinder, an easy job. 4) They wanted to replace everything rather than fix the parts that were broken. 5) Replacing an entire clutch instead of repairing it is only necessary in a catastrophic failure, which this wasn't. Obviously, I could still drive my truck even with a gimpy clutch. 6) $2300 was too much even for what they wanted to do. These guys took the easy route and tried to charge me as much as possible in the hopes that I was that gullible. What a farce. To top it off, the service lady tried to guilt me into getting it fixed there. I was already steaming mad from having to pay $95 for their "diagnosis". Hell, I didn't need to pay someone else to tell me to replace my entire clutch would fix the problem. (I wonder how she would feel if her doctor told her to replace her kidneys and urinary tract the next time she got a UTI?) The best part was even after all this and she could see that I was visibly angry at the situation she launches into a speech about how I'll be receiving an evaluation in the mail to fill out regarding my experience. I cannot wait to fill that out! Stay away from these guys, because they have no interest in doing an honest job at a fair price. read more

I purchased a used 2015 Tacoma from Lexington Toyota in October 2021. At the time of purchase the truck had 73,984 miles showing on the odometer. On January 15, 2022 I brought it to Ira Toyota in Danvers for an oil change (the truck then had 78,956 miles). I was told by Ira Toyota that my truck was over due for brake fluid change and differential fluid change. Ira Toyota told me these items are recommended at 50k miles. Silly me, I made a huge mistake in thinking I was purchasing a vehicle from a trustworthy Toyota Dealer that would not sell me a truck knowing it was over due for service. I was very wrong. I had to pay $543.60 to bring the truck up to the recommended service levels. I feel this should have been completed, or at the very least been communicated to me, before I purchased the truck. When you purchase a truck from a dealer, shouldn't you feel confident that all recommended services have been completed prior to the sale? That was definitely not the case. During my test drive of the truck, I did not get on any highways. It was not until several days after having the truck that I realized when driving at speeds over 70 mph there is a loud whistling noise inside the cab. Ira Toyota told me all of the weather stripping needs to be replaced and there is no guarantee that will fix the problem . That repair is on hold. To make matters much worse...I purchased the truck in October. There was no need to use the Air Conditioner until this Spring. When I did go to use the AC...it did not work!! Add that repair bill to the tally. This past 4th of July weekend, the truck started to overheat. Going back to Ira Toyota tomorrow for another large repair bill. I do not recommend Lexington Toyota to anyone. I have owned several Tacomas over the years and I have never had such a bad experience. Furthermore, and shame on me for this...the Carfax, at the time of purchase indicated the odometer reading was not accurate. The owner of the dealership explained to me it was a mistake and said he would contact Carfax to correct it. Well, once he had my money and I took possession of the truck, he never followed up. There are much better dealers out there. Be wary of this one. They will tell you anything to close the sale and you might end up with a lemon, like I did. They only care about making the sale. read more
