I went in for my 6 month check up as a new patient. I walked in and the front desk manager was friendly and approachable. She greeted me and guided me thru the questionnaire. The dental assistant did X-rays and was not rough nor rude like previous experiences I've had. I had a cleaning and am waiting for my next visit to get my fillings done. The cleaning left me feeling refreshed. The prices are reasonable especially without insurance and I was able to set up a payment plan. So, I am not a person who enjoys a dentist visit, but I went to Dr. Kodey based on her Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. She is so gentle and thorough with her examinations. Dr. Kodey explains what she finds and how she would recommend to treat any issues. She also explains other options and why she recommends one over the other. I had a root canal today and she was right on time, checked on me throughout the procedure and made me as comfortable as one can be during a root canal. Dr. Kodey, her assistants, and office staff are all prompt, courteous and professional. The office is very clean, organized and calming. I was always scared to go to a dentist. On my first appointment with Dr. Kodey, I was freaking out. Far exceeded my expectations! On time, empathic and thorough but still efficient, very professional. I got a routine cleaning and she and her staff were very attentive to my comfort, as I had never received that type of cleaning before (they use a high powered instrument). After a long absence from any dental office, I received a flyer/coupon in the mail from Miramonte Dental and decided to give them a call. Rachel answered the phone and was a total delight, so I made an appt. The dental office is the most attractive I've seen. Everything was so clean, shiny, and new. Both Dr. Jesse and Rachel were extremely nice, attentive, and patient with me, even though I have a very high gagging reflex, and it always takes a long time to take my x rays or to work on my teeth. They did not rush me. During the actual cleaning, Dr. Jesse did a superb job. When I returned another day to get deep cleaning, I found it to be a good experience. Dr. Jesse was patient, calm, and did a thorough job, without hurting or scaring me. They were all right : I had an urgent case in which I needed a crown fitted within two days as I was moving out of the area to Washington state. I recently relocated to the area from Seattle and was looking for a new dentist. At first I tried one on El Camino Real, which I did not like at all: he did not take the time to explain the services, seemed to want to rush me through the process and sell me for some procedures I did not think I needed. Then I went to Dr. Kodey - what a great choice! She took a lot of time with me, carefully explaining where my cavities were and how she was going to fix them. She showed me my xray on the video display and pointed out where the issues were. I was given an estimate up front so I knew exactly how much my insurance would pay and how much I would owe. When I came back to have my cavities filled, she was gentle and careful. Again explained what she was doing step by step. Was concerned about my welfare throughout. The procedure went very well. Things went so well that I follow up with her to replace a crown I had for a front tooth. She again carefully explained all the options and appeared to want to spend as much time as I needed to understand things and make the right decision for myself. She meticulously attended to all the procedures and I am very happy with the way the crown looks - nice color, texture, features, a very good match to my existing teeth. I found Dr. Kodey and her assistant to be very caring and careful. She had a good touch - firm, but not rough, yet still gentle. She took the time to explain everything and answer my questions. NEVER GO HERE. I was excited (yes, excited! I love going to the dentist) to get a cleaning after several years without dental insurance. I thought I was getting a good deal with Miramonte, which I found through Groupon. When they told me I had four cavities I was really surprised because I didn't have any symptoms. But it had been years since my last cleaning. Not to worry, they said, for extra cash they could fill them for me today. They'd even give me a discount. Still I was suspicious because they couldn't prove it, I had no symptoms, and no other patients were in the office the whole time I was there. It seemed like a scam. Thankfully I passed and chose to get a second opinion from Steven Adame's office in San Francisco. They told me I didn't have ANY filings! If I hadn't had the wherewithal to get a second opinion, Miramonte would have unnecessarily drilled holes in my healthy teeth, taking cash I don't have to spare. At best they are incompetent. At worse they are trying to take advantage of people. Either way, they should not be in practice. NEVER GO HERE. Go to Steven Adame, DDS. read more

The whole family has been going to Dr. Kodey for more than a year now and we have always been pleased and happy with her services. She is not only a dentist, but is also like a friend, family and teacher. She is very professional and takes time to explain the process and show the science behind it (even makes illustrations!), and very understanding of your concerns. How refreshing! She is very good with kids as well. We went to a pediatric dentist for my oldest son whom we found very aggressive in terms of his treatment plan. Prior to coming to Dr. Chandra Kodey, I had been going to the same dentist for 10 years, and I've always felt pain when I had any work done (I thought that was normal)......not so with Dr. Chandra Kodey! She checked in to see if I was comfortable and I didn't feel a thing, when I had my fillings replaced. She took the time to show me what was going on with my teeth (through a high tech camera she used), while explaining the work that needed to be done to keep my teeth healthy.
