I had the Red Snapper, and it was delicious. The chips were good, coffee is Great. I loved everything about this restaurant. Our waitress Joe was wonderful, his personality matched the place. This was my first time here, and we will be back again!

This spot has the usual Tex-Mex fare like fajitas, queso and enchiladas and offers a bit of fusion with other Latin American countries cuisine. For appetizers, we enjoyed the queso verde which was very green with roasted poblano, & corn. We chose to add short rib to it as well and it was quite tasty. Definitely more of a liquid-y dip than a queso fundido style. Along with a trio of salsas and chips. I had the beef fajita for my meal and I enjoyed it and it his the Tex-mex spot for me as well don't have many Mexican restaurants in SoCal that serve fajitas. It was a nostalgic treat. My friend got the short rib enchiladas with queso oaxaca, red chile sauce, crema, radish, cilantro, queso fresco & caramelized onion. She really liked it as well even though she said the red chile sauce was spicy for her. My margarita was tasty as well.

Rolled in here after the Toy Run and wow--solid choice. I ordered the 4 Amigos taco plate and it absolutely delivered. They start you off with chips and three salsas: a creamy avocado salsa (the clear crowd favorite), a tomato-based one, and a classic traditional salsa. No weak links--every single one slapped. One guy demolished the chicken and waffles, another inhaled the French toast, and the rest of us went with breakfast tacos--not a single complaint in the group. Service was on point, the vibe was relaxed and fun, and nobody left hungry. 100% would come back. Possibly with stretchy pants next time.

I visited Miriam Cocina in Cypress Waters because my friends wanted to go, and while the area is actually one of my favorites, I already had a feeling it would be on the pricier side. The restaurant itself is really quiet, which I did appreciate. I tried the ranch water and absolutely loved it; that was honestly the best part of my meal. I ordered the mahi-mahi, and it was fine, but for the price, I expected a better overall experience. The part that really made me uncomfortable was when it was time to pay. Our waitress hovered over us the entire time with the card machine and didn't step away to let us review our receipts on our own. I know people are just doing their jobs, and I hate feeling mean saying this, but I genuinely felt pressured to leave a higher tip than I intended. They also add a 3% kitchen fee to the bill, which just added to the feeling that everything was expensive. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. Other than the drink, which I would totally order again, I wasn't very happy with what I got for the price.

This is a pretty solid happy hour spot. It runs M-F from 3 to 6, and when we went, it was surprisingly quiet, which honestly felt like a win. We ordered a couple of cocktails, and they brought out freshly fried chips with a trio of salsas on the house. Nothing like delicious free chips to set the tone for a good evening. We shared a few things from the happy hour menu. The green queso and guac were delicious and a great value. We also got two empanadas and two tacos. By the end, I was happily stuffed, and the bill was just over $40 before tip, which felt like a pretty sweet deal. The food was tasty, the drinks were solid, and the service was on point. I call that a happy hour success story and we will be back!

I visited on Margarita Day for the $6 special. I had 2 margaritas and they hit the spot. I tried something small on the menu since I wasn't very hungry. The cilantro in the soup really brought out the flavor. I liked that they give you 3 salsas with the tortilla chips. The food came quick. Great customer service. The dining area was very posh and Larry was super hospitable.

Finally got to have a day off to enjoy brunch for once! I actually loved being tucked behind the column at the bar. I deal with people all day and the peace and quiet away from the screaming kid at the front was perfect. The bartender was great. Really enjoyed this meal. It's a little pricy, but in this economy what isn't, unfortunately. I'll definitely be back.

Loved this place! Came here because of YELP and the owner is so wonderful! She took the time to come over to us and say hello and check in with us and take a few photos! We had a huge party and our waitress got everything right! I will say food came out a little warm but I think thats because there was 20 of us! No complaints outside of that! Place was super clean and I will come back to try it again! Next time I want to try their chicken and waffles! On this visit I had 3 of their famous enchiladas!

Really good happy hour. Enjoyed their guava and skinny margaritas. Nice HH specials on food as well. Chicken and veggie tacos were good. The yucca fritters were delicious. The salad had a nice variety if textures and flavors.

Miriam's Cocina Latina Cypress Waters, TX We've had the chance to visit Miriam's Cocina "Dallas" location and we were thrilled when the Cypress Waters location planned to open right in our own backyard! Miriam, as she greets you at the door is the most genuine owner/restaurateur you can meet. So loving and caring and it shows throughout the food, drinks, and overall ambiance of the restaurant! Roberto Our server Roberto was very knowledgeable and gracious and suggested a myriad of menu items to try from drinks, appetizers, and main courses. If you're looking for great latin food and drinks with impeccable service to match, make sure to visit Miriam's Cocina Latina does not disappoint. We can't wait to go back and try their happy hour menu! Thanks again! Appetites and Origins

I love their vegetarian options. The service has always been excellent and I've visited both locations in Dallas and they've both been great.

This has fast become my favorite restaurant in the area. Great ambiance with a nice covered patio area. I went for dinner with my girlfriends, went back for happy hour and appetizers and went on Sunday for Easter Brunch. The service is excellent, the staff is friendly and very attentive. The food is delicious, very flavorful. My favorite appetizer is Bolitas de Yuca. And they have a great variety of cocktails. Highly recommended!

Drinks (2/5): Shocked by the quality based on their regular price. The Velvet Karma was okay (tasted like watery Bailey's with cinnamon). The Karma Sutra was mostly cough syrup, almost no liquor tasted in either. Both $15 each. Service (2/5): The waitresses are all hardworking but they seem super short-staffed. The whole place was packed but they're too busy to be out in the front. It took forever for food and drinks to come out also, despite it hasn't been packed yet. Took 15 min for the cocktail to be out and was watery... Ambiance (3/5): The live music at 7pm didn't start until 7:20. We came earlier and waited for it to start. Super disappointed and wanted to like this place. We can't see ourselves back unless these changes. It just seems stingey as a business to lack liquor in cocktails this price. The staff and manager were all nice, it's just not well run unfortunately.

I love the drink concept because it allows for folks to try a little bit of various options ... which they do have a number of local options on their wall. This is what I would return for, and bring friends to tet before we end up at another activity. Food wise: got a smash burger which came with fries, which if I order it again I'd probably change cheeses and ask for some pepper to season the fries a bit more ... all personal preferences... but was ok for something to eat to off set the two drinks I had while there. I also got some tacos to go for my husband. Again personal preference, he would have liked more seasoning/spice on the actual meat of the taco vs being as reliant on the salsa. So, on our next visit we might just stick with shareables/apps with our drinks.
