The burgers are passable but not exceptional. The patties tend to be a bit dry and while conceptually the burgers are great on paper, they lack flavor on delivery. The salad dressing was not good, flavorless and poor quality. Service was good, we came with a large party and no one was ever in need or waiting on things. We been here many times over the years as it's the go to place when it comes to hamburgers as that's their specialty. We've also been to the one NW of downtown. For the most, they're all good as it's hard to go wrong with burgers and fries, as long as the ingredients are fresh. Last night, I went with the guys from our church. I got the Saddle Up as I tried to order something different each time as I've had more than 50% of their selections over the years. So what intrigued me was adding the eggs as that the way I make them from home many years ago before it was a thing. So the thick bacon, that was more like pork belly as it was thick and a bit chewy, and definitely very fat. I think would have enjoyed it more as thinner, crispy bacons next time. Then there's the description of 2 smash patties. I was told that it's just one standard patties, so in the picture, you can see I just paid extra to get 2nd patties. Smash patties would've been tastier, so that was a slight let down. Overall, I finished but with 2 regular sized patties, and the so called thick bacon, it was quite greasy as my pan was covered in oil. As an advice, maybe check with the waiter to see if they do indeed have smash patties as that's would've been a 5 star for sure. My instead, I probably didn't need to pay for that 2nd regular patty and extra $ whatever amount that was charged. read more

This was my first time to this location. I have only ever been to the one in Ft Worth near 7th. It doesn't have the same type of atmosphere. Frankly it looks a heck of a lot like the Flying Fish next door, of you aren't looking too close. It just seems to be missing a bit of personality. My friend and I came in to get the promotional Radio burger which they donated some of the proceeds to our local PBS station after they lost federal funding. Burgers and a good cause, we were in! The burgers were pretty good, however we both asked for the prickly pear BBQ sauce on the sice, which was a good choice. Neither of us were mad about it and it just stayed on the side. The service was JUST ok and the price point is really high. $14 for a burger without fries is a lot. They do big burgers with some crazy ingredients, but they aren't better than other burgers in the area. Though they are more expensive. Burgers are big business and there are tons of options. Come hungry! Portions here are very generous and filling -- I thought prices were fair for the amount of food of you get. We ordered the Cowboy Cobb Salad, Tostada Chips & Queso, Firebird, Hand-punched Fries, and a Chocolate Milkshake. Everything was pretty good! I especially liked how generous the Cowboy Cobb was -- it was my entire entree, but I had to share with it my husband because of how much food there was. My husband enjoyed the chicken sandwich very much -- it was pretty spicy; and a mess to eat. Queso was actually a bit too salty, so we couldn't eat too much of it, but the milkshake really balanced it out. It was really hot when we came, so we couldn't sit outside, but there were tables and high-tops inside to choose from. The decorations and theme were super fun -- it was loud and casual. Service was the weak point of this experience. It was self-seating, so it kinda felt like we were initially ignored or forgotten by the staff, even after smiling, making eye contact, and waving at someone. It looked like there were a lot of waitstaff, but only one gentleman (Tramaine) was running around and helping the tables. He took our order and checked up on us periodically, so he was actually great; but I'm not even sure if we were technically in his section because it felt like he was running around the entire restaurant and I remember thinking that the others should be helping more. As a result, service was a bit slow; but I can't fault Tramaine for that as it was a pretty busy evening. Overall, it was a good experience!
